For the person or couple who thinks a «wedding coordinator» is just an expense in the wedding budget to cut out or avoid — PLEASE READ! My picture could have probably been next to the caption, «bride who will avoid all unnecessary costs possible». However, let me tell you why hiring Kristana is an absolute MUST and probably the smartest decision you could make in your wedding planning!
We wanted a very simple and intimate wedding (ceremony and seated dinner only — no big reception) with our immediate families and a few of our closest friends. We found out our dream venue (Paradise Point, Resort & Spa in San Diego) required us to have a wedding coordinator before we could book and, to be honest, we truly did not think we needed one because we had just envisioned such a small setting. Then I remembered that a friend from high school, Kristana, started her own wedding coordinating business, Kristana Marie Events. So of course I reached out to her, asked for her honest opinion after telling her how simple we wanted it to be, and she did not try to sell us anything more than what we needed to meet our venue’s requirements. She happily explained the differences in her packages and the services she offered, and just asked that we take time to think it over and get back to her. After talking it over we decided that her «Day Of» package would be perfect for us. We could not have been more accurate.
Once we booked our package, Kristana stepped right in and made sure that we knew exactly what her role would be and what she would need from us to make things happen. She met me at the venue for a nice little walk through so that she could get an understanding as to what our vision was for the big day, and she noted everything as we went. Then we had a great brunch onsite while discussing our ideas. She helped me to think of things that I had no idea to include in the planning, and we had so much fun along the way. When we came down to the last two weeks before the big day, Kristana was there for everything. She helped make sure that when my anxiety and stress levels were on the higher ends that communication between us, the venue, and other vendors was not lost. She maintained such a professional manner with everyone and was such a wonderful help to my family and friends who were helping with things.
Most of the advice we got pre-​wedding day was to really cherish and enjoy every minute because the day «goes too fast» and because of Kristana, that was possible! When the big day came, Kristana was there with a smile on her face the entire time and had everything we needed, and more. She even had something in her emergency kit that helped fix an important sentimental attachment to my bouquet the day of the wedding. She made sure that things were in their proper places, that traffic in my getting-​ready room was kept to a minimum, and she made sure our ceremony started promptly and ran smoother than I ever could have imagined. Our wedding was very simple, with the most beautiful little details, it was a complete dream come true and I can honestly say it was the happiest day of our lives. We could not have done it without Kristana, she is the BEST! She went above and beyond every expectation we had and it was an absolute honor to have her be a part of our big day!

Kristana is amazing! I’m a wedding photographer and I’ve worked with her on multiple weddings. When I find out she’s the coordinator, I know it’s going to be a smooth day. She keeps us all on schedule and she is very pleasant to work with. Her style and attention to detail is superb. She will also have you completely worry free for your day of. If you need a coordinator Kristana is the best! She is so a amazing! I am a wedding photographer and we have worked together on many events. I love that I never had to stress about the days events when she is running the show :) I also hired her to plan my wedding in Florence Italy. I am getting married next spring, and with it being in Europe it’s so hard to plan. She was very thorough with researching and contacting all my vendors. Kristana goes above and beyond for all of her clients. From the moment you take her on as your coordinator, she does everything in her power to make sure your event goes perfectly. She’s also the only wedding coordinator I know that brings gifts for her couples! She’s amazing.

My friend got married a few months ago and I went with her to do her wedding through in Temecula. Kristana was ready and waiting for us. She was taking active notes the entire time to make sure she remembered everything exactly. She even wrote down the floor plan and made some amazing suggestions my friend had not even thought about.
Not only is she incredibly professional, but she genuinely cares about you and your family/​friends. My friend’s mom was trying to take over and plan the entire thing her way, but Kristana managed to ask my friend what SHE wanted without offending her mom. My wife and I had Kristana as our Day-​Of Coordinator for our wedding at Leoness Cellars Winery (Temecula, CA) back in November of 2014. When we first started planning our wedding, we knew it was going to be under 100 guests and since the package with Leoness Cellars covered a lot of the coordinating, we didn’t see the need to bring in any outside help. Cut to a few months before the wedding, and my wife and I are about to explode from «hands-​on» family stress, and that’s when we decided that bringing in some help might not be a bad option. We were introduced to Kristana through our photography vendor, Spotlight Studios, as she was their in-​house wedding coordinator. After a few phone calls and a meeting, we decided to bring her into the fold without even looking into or considering another coordinator. At first we thought, «Wow she’s so young!», but she presented herself so professionally that we instantly put our trust in her abilities. Soon after, my wife and I had another meeting with Kristana one-​on-​one at the winery to go over more details, and just for her to get to know us. We ended up sharing stories over some wine tasting and really just connected as people. In that time spent together, Kristana let us vent all of our frustrations and stresses about the wedding. She was a wonderful support and was so genuine in letting us know that her number one job was making sure WE were happy. Not the venue, not our parents, US. She was on our side, 100%. That meeting singlehandedly turned the wedding around for us, especially for my wife who had almost given up thinking she would enjoy her own wedding. The details of the wedding day are a blur, but throughout it all, Kristana was on point. We’re so happy to have worked with her and cannot recommend her highly enough. In this day and age of smaller weddings and idea-​mining websites like Pinterest and Etsy, a wedding coordinator can seem like an unneeded expense. All I can say is that having Kristana there making sure things ran smoothly but also as an extra emotional support, was indispensable. Thanks again, Kristana!
