I have been to a lot of nail salons before, good one, and I can say with confidence that this is one of the best you could trust to have your nails done. They really appreciate their customers as being nice and professional is a must. The place is clean and organized. Techs are experienced and careful. The lady was taking her time to take care of me and did not try to rush me out like many other places though the place was a little busy on a Friday. Very reasonable price. Highly recommended !!!

Kay’s Nails probably have one of the best services I’ve ever received in a long time! Welcoming tech work here. Realistic prices. The salon itself is sanitary and smells really nice. Didn’t had any chemical smell lingering in the air at all. Didn’t had to wait long till a nail tech came and took care of me. Even though it was fairly pack and I went in without a appointment. The nail tech working on me was very gentle throughout my manicure. She exfoliated my hands, filed all my nails in on direction (didn’t saw), used new unused soft tip cuticle pusher and removed the cuticles with ease and when she was done she massage my hand with hand cream. Just amazing services! I highly recommend going here to get your manicure done!

I went few times for eyebrow and upper lip wax and was ok for price. Third time i went it was obvious she was in rush. Ripping at my skin. That night my upper lip hurt and by morning i had two sores. I went in next day to show them and they tried blaming me saying i put lotion on it, which I did not do. They offered to put cream on it. I refused. No offer of discount service, no apology. Sores took a week to heal. Needless to say I will not be returning!

I really like when you are waiting for your nail to dry their is a TV in front of you to entertain. But with each of the tech here, they have great skills and are very efficient on cleaning and applying the color. I am not disappointed with the results. I can definitely say it was worth the time. And I highly recommend.

I love getting pedicures here because they really take their time on your feet. The pedicure was very relaxing and the massage part was long and thorough. They give a massage with a foot scrub, then another one with lotion! This is a chance for you to relax and enjoy the process. I think the prices for their services are reasonable and totally worth every penny.
If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and attentive nail salon go here. They do a great job even when they’re busy. I’ve gone on a Friday afternoon and it was full but they were able to get everyone in and out while enjoying their experience.

Sad. Thought I had found a new place to get my Gel nails done at but I was wrong! They said they do Gel sets so I come there a day before my trip back home and just as I’ve been let down at other establishments, they put Acrylic on. As soon as I smelled the stench I said something but said, go ahead I don’t have time or an appointment anywhere else now. The women were nice but clearly need to be educated a little better, and not just on Gel sets but on nail care as well. My nails look like I got them done about 2 weeks ago. So disappointed:(My pedi doesn’t look horrible but its definitely not up to par. Guess I’ll have to keep driving to La Mesa. Now to figure out when I can get these things fixed!

This shop is so friendly. From the moment we walked in tthe door, we felt very welcomed. Lisa was very attentive to an injury i had sustained a few months prior. She gracious and effective

I’ve gone here three times now, and the service has been great. The ladies are all friendly and do a nice job. The TV is tuned to home improvement shows, which is way better than CNN when I’m trying to relax. The clientele has been considerate, no one is talking on their cell phones! Manicure with hand and forearm massage is only $ 12. Cash only!

Easy parking, fit us in quickly even though we were walk ins. Cash only but there was an atm at the grocery store right next to it. They did a good job! $ 18 for a normal pedicure. I’m very satisfied! Only 4 stars for the cash only rule (the atm charged me $ 2)

Love this place and these ladies! They always do such a great job and its a nice LOCAL place. I’m always in there when other regulars are and it’s nice. Clean, cheap and good. What more could you ask for?

Not sure what all the hype is about.
I was on vacation and came here for a full set of acrylic nails based on the Unilocal reviews. What a disappointment. Only reason for not giving one star is because they took me 15 minutes before my appointment time, which was nice.
Anyways, this place is very small. I felt like my back was going to bump into the ladies giving pedicures behind me. The lady that did my nails was nice, not very talkative.
Couple problems with my nails first of all two of my nail tips are crooked, I get the stilleto point and that shape really isn’t just for everyone to be doing.
Secondly, when she asked what lenghth I wanted I said I wanted them on the shorter side but not too too short. Well instead of working her way down she just chops off the nails to almost my finger tip! That was way too short I wish she would of started longer and slowly cut them down to a length I wanted.
And lastly, one of my nails broke. THE NEXT DAY. I didn’t even bother going back because I didn’t want to waste my vacation at the nail salon. Prices are much lower here than my normal spot in Vegas but I guess you get what you pay for.

Terrible! I called and made an appt the morning of for me, my mom, and my sister to get pedicures. When we got there all the chairs were full and we had to wait 20 minutes just for them to take 2 of us. Then they sat me and no one was coming over to do my pedicure and I asked why and they said the other people had appts! I did too!!! I waited another 15 minutes in the spa chair. No one was apologetic or helpful! Don’t make an appt. here it’s a waste of time you’re better off walking in!

Great place for a pedi. I would have liked to see more color options but they had a good amount. Only $ 18 and it was just as nice as the $ 35+ I have paid for pedis before. The ladies are also very nice.

Went to try this place out today. It’s a bit hidden in a shopping lot but glad I made it here. I’ve been to a bunch of pedi places in San Diego and hard to find that great salon for pedicures. I find a place and then my favorite person leaves or service is crap after the first few times. Got here right at opening and was taken care of right away. Got the basic pedi and callus removal, OMG! Amazing job. They cleaned and left my feet looking brand new! And I mean she cleaned every little crevice on my feet lol. Not that I have ugly bad feet but it’s been 4 weeks since my last pedi. It’s a cute lil clean salon and will definitely be coming back. Wish I would of gotten the ladies name but I had another appointment to run to.

They did a great job on my pedicure that was about an hour long. For $ 18, I really don’t plan on going anywhere else! I don’t like to chit chat while getting my nails done, so my girl was great, she just left me in peace in to relax.

Great service. Affordable prices. Comfortable massage chairs. Will definitely come back!

I love Kay’s nails! The only service I go to the nail salon for is a pedicure so my review is solely based on that…
The place is clean and the staff is friendly. Honestly I’ve had exceptional pedis elsewhere but this place is consistently good and I knew from my first visit here that I would be a faithful returning customer bc of their excellent customer service. I always leave feeling satisfied.
And it’s cheap! $ 18 for a standard spa pedicure.

I found my new go to nail place! Not only is this place the most reasonably priced salon EVER but they are all so nice and spend so much time on your mani/​pedis! Been here a couple times for shellac and the last time I did my French, for some reason they peeled off in one day and I went back and Kay re did them for free no questions asked in like 20 minutes it was so nice! And she did a phenomenal job. I was going to my old nail place for about 3 years and lately they spent 5 – 10 min on my pedicures and I received weak massages but this places spent over 30 minutes on my feet it was amaaaazing! Only coming back here!

Just moved to the neighborhood and was looking for a new nail salon. Lots of options nearby, tried another place and wasn’t impressed. Tried Kay’s because it was literally the closest place and I’m so glad I did. It’s not a fancy place but the staff is nice and more importantly does a great job at very reasonable price. I’ve already been back.
Tip: they only take cash — probably why they’re able to keep prices reasonable.
