They offer a great menu that will give you a very deep thinking and desire to eat all their foods. Their juices are very refreshing and healthy to drink. I loved the experience visiting this place. It’s an undeniably wonderfuldiner where every penny is worth to spend.

One of our favorites! Clean restaurant! The food taste homemade and always seems like they take pride in their food… It’s in an easy location and easy to get to! Off the Friars is the easiest route to get there. Some of the nicest men work there… Always strike up a conversation with them! Such good people there!

Nice little spot in the Living Spaces shopping center. It’s close to my work, so it’s nice to have something different every once in a while. I get the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan lunch combo for $ 7.99 The food is great! Good flavors and the right amount of spice. The naan is great, but this last time I was charged an extra dollar for garlic naan. Not cool! The cashier didn’t even inform me. It was just added onto the bill. And fuck off… How is adding some garlic to the naan cost a buck? Adding guacamole to a burrito, bacon to a burger — that’s a buck. I’ll probably skip this spot til they get their garlic from a better, less expensive garlic guy.

Huge improvement on how it was before. A new chef from India is making proper Indian food. Tried their lamb biryani and was very impressed. Will be back!

Had a combo with«aloo gobi» and«daal» costing $ 8.25. Loved it. Authentic and simple. Good quantity. Service too is quick. Better compared to other Indian restaurants around the area for a quick bite.

We got two combo plates, and though they have a great lunch special($ 8 for a choice of one main plus rice, naan and a drink), we wanted to try more of the dishes. With the two combos we had: Black lentils daal, spinach-sag paneer, chicken tikka masala, chick peas-chana masala, rice and a small salad, all for about $ 22. We liked everything but warning, the yummy chicken is made with lots of cream and is very, very rich. Oh, and the garlic naan was perfect. We are not knowledgeable«foodies» but we liked what we got. A lot! If you get the food to eat there, it seems to be more(quantity) than if you get it to go, btw. Great guy, very helpful at the register.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the food, it tasted great, the combo consisting of «saag paneer» and«daal» and«chicken tikka masala» were well spiced and very flavorful. Ambience was great too. We were greeted by Kaiya at the front who exhibited great professionalism and offered great service that goes a long way! Great job and kudos to the owners for good food and for hiring people like kaiya on the front desk! We will be back :)

I have heard about this Indian Restaurant: Kasi — Fresh. Fast. Indian. So my companion and I stopped in for an early dinner. The girl that waited on my companion and I told us they have been here for two years. We both agreed that we wanted the combo. I got Chicken Tikka Masala and Shrimp Tikka Masala. The combos come with two meals, Basmati Rice and I added Garlic Naan for $ 1.95 I loved the Chicken Tikka Masala but it seemed to have a lot more sauce than chicken and I kept digging for more chicken because it was a delight. I was surprised that this dish was spicy. She was talking about spice and saying she was used to spicy food that it didn’t seem spicy to her. She asked my companion if she wanted a sample of the dish she was getting. She never offered a sample to me so to my surprise when I tasted it. She should have offered a sample to me too. I wasn’t a fan of the of the Shrimp Tikka Masala. It was basically the same as the other dish — Same Rice –Same Sauce — Undressed shrimp = Bland. There weren’t any spices added to the shrimp. It tasted like there wasn’t anything done special to the shrimp. I was really disappointed with the Garlic Naan. It didn’t have the ‘WOW’ factor for me. It had a very mild taste of garlic. Ok — This is supposed to be garlicky. Instead it was full of grease and was wrapped unsuccessfully. The bread should of been separated. Especially with how greasy it was and there were more than two pieces inside. The girl that waited on us was friendly while we were there but when we got home our to-go bag was a mess. I had to wipe around the edges before I put the leftovers in the fridge.

This is a good place to go at lunchtime for their buffet. I like their selection and I also like that the food isn’t super hot-spicy. It’s definitely a go-to place for Indian food. I also eat at the one in Eastlake/Chula Vista but I don’t see a listing for that restaurant. Love the chicken tikka masala and the tandoori chicken.

Exceptional Service! The manager is so sweet and makes sure to take care of you. You can sample anything before you commit which is very nice. So ask to try some Menu items don’t be shy! Also their fresh brew Indian Tea is free with your meal and it’s outstanding. It’s a nice healthy vegetarian option if your a vegan or trying to avoid meat. :-) will definitely return and I recommend!

Stopped here tonight with my wife after an IKEA shopping trip. We previously frequented the Kasi location in Eastlake(closed now, sadface) so we were looking forward to dipping some garlic naan into chicken tikka masala. And we were not disappointed! We felt bad coming in a half hour before closing time but the guy who helped us was completely friendly and welcoming, and went out of his way to give us great service.(We still made sure we were done before closing time so that we weren’t THOSE people!) Food was out fast and it was delicious! For my wife and I we split a combo plate with chicken tikka masala and chicken curry, two orders of garlic naan, and my wife sure loves their mango lasse drink. Servings were generous(leftovers, yum!) and prices quite reasonable. Definitely recommend the garlic naan and the tikka masala — a dipper’s delight! And the new grilled shrimp salad and naan wraps looked pretty tempting too — next time! The owner also stopped by our table to introduce himself and let us know it was their first month under new ownership and that new dishes were coming soon, including a lamb curry. Nice guy, who seems to really care about the customer experience — so if you’re looking for a nice and tasty Indian meal at a good price then definitely give them a try! Bonus for families with picky eaters, there’s several other restaurants in a row here(jersey mikes sandwiches, Mexican, Greek, Thai, American O’s) so there’s something for everyone, and a large and lovely outdoor shared seating area. And lots of parking! Quick tip– if, like us, your favorite part is soaking sauce up in your naan, then order it to go, so the rice and dishes come in separate containers. That or just ask for a cup of sauce on the side ;)

Kasi: Truly fresh and fast Indian food! They have the yummiest of all curries. The vegetables are fresh and have a great flavor to them. Unlike some other Indian restaurants that I have tried, their food is neither too spicy n hot nor too bland. That’s what makes it one of my favorites! They are also very clean and friendly. They also have posters talking about the health benefits of Indian ingredients and spices. Nothing but the best!

Meh… it’s an interesting concept, and it has its pros, but I left just kind of saying«meh». They have about 12 different dishes that can be served different ways — in a bowl(with rice) is the cheapest, and what I chose. With naan and a soda, it came up to about $ 8.75 with tax. My chicken vindaloo(vindaloo being generally quite spicy) was okay. It wasn’t spicy in the slightest, and had a decent amount of flavor but nothing like normal Indian food which is full of flavor and scent. There was a ton of chicken which was surprisingly tender, but again not overly flavorful. The naan was also fairly flavorless. You got a ton of it, but I would have gladly gotten half with twice the flavor. The staff here is weird. They’re not mean, they’re not friendly, they’re a little weird. Probably wouldn’t return. 2.5 stars, rounded up to 3.

I’m changing my review to a 2. The naan is actually better than before, but this chicken dish was not made of breast. The meat was extremely colorful. If the dish was served with other than breast, then I wish I was forewarned, because I don’t do dark meat. I tried to eat around the meat, but there was not a lot of sauce on the rice. As another reviewer mentioned, the rice had a lot of moisture.

Kasi never fails… I have tried everything in the menu. All good. Quick delicious Indian food never fails to deliver. Pair any with some gahhhlick naan bread to make it extra special! Mission valley and Poway locations are both friendly and clean. Especially crowded but worth the short wait during lunchtime. Eat.

I’ve always seen this place when im in the mission valley area but never went in. So when I, decided to try it I took my dad their for lunch because we wanted fresh, fast, indian food. It is exactly what it says it is a fast food indian restaurant. There was a lunch offer combo that included naan, drink and your choice of entrée. We ordered the spicy curry and chicken tikki masala. If you like indian food, I would say its just okay. Not the best, but good for a fast meal. However, I would’ve enjoyed my food had there not been knats flying around inside. I had to keep swapping my hand to keep them from landing on my food. My dad had also pointed out to me one of the workers handled our naan without any gloves. The workers were nice to ask if we were ok but I just didnt have the heart to point out obvious health violations. Besides that, the food was given in generous portions and we had 3 – 4 pieces of the naan.(However, It didn’t taste as fresh.) But if you decide to go I recommend the tikki masala it is pretty good.

Kasi offers a pretty good lunch bowl with naan bread and a drink for $ 7.99. I ordered the Chicken Curry Bowl with Garlic Naan Bread. The chicken curry was good. The curry was a little gritty and should of been a little more finer, but it had good enough flavor with a very mild heat. The chicken was tender and I pleased they used all white meat. The steamed rice in the bowl had a little issue with moisture. It had to much of it and was a little watery at the bottom of the bowl. The garlic naan was pretty good. It as light and fluffy with a good amount of garlic. A few of the pieces had a little extra toasting, but for the most part it was soft and moist as it should be. The employees were friendly enough when I ordered, and later, a young lady who later arrived, came over and checked if I needed anything. That was nice. Good lunch special.
