Everyone always told me that purchasing the first home can be really stressful and hard at times. Well, they probably did not have Jocelyn as a realtor. Jocelyn was amazing through out the entire process. By being available and answering us at any given time, she made my wife and myself very comfortable knowing that she had our back during the transaction. We just got our keys and we couldn’t be happier. It was a very smooth month and all the stress that I expected was eased by Jocelyn 5 stars service.

Jocelyn helped us with our first ever home. Being a first time buyer I had a lot of questions, when I say a lot of questions I really mean it. She always had the time and patience to answer my each and every question to all possible details. It was difficult to find a home that checked most of the items from our priority list. We probably saw 10+ homes and even after submitting two offers still in process when we requested Jocelyn to show few more homes she was more than happy to show and understood where we were coming from. Our sellers were very stringent and despite our huge list of things to fix at home they were not willing to negotiate on the price. Jocelyn was kind enough to help us out with money from her own commission, this was in addition to the Redfin commission, we really appreciated her help with it. Through out the process of home search she was very helpful and very caring towards what we were feeling all along the process. We already have recommended Jocelyn to our friends. We couldn’t have found any better agent. We would definitely look forward for her to help us in future if we need. Thanks for your all help Jocelyn.
Only suggestion would be for improvement would be to improve the search criteria used by the MLS software system. Half of the email notifications we received for the home for sell didn’t match our criteria apart from price and area. For example we received email for home that were only applicable for 55+ age. We expected the system to be give us more precise results.

Jocelyn is the best! She made the process sooo easy by being available every time we have a question/​comment. Every time I called about something I was unsure of, she was all over it to investigate for us. She arranged everything and outlined the deadlines to us ahead of time so there was minimal stress.
I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for an excited, positive, hardworking Realtor who is willing to put in the hours. I will definitely be using for future home purchases.

Jocelyn is the absolute best to go to if you are a first time home-​buyer. She definitely understood what our needs and wants were for a starter home. All of our questions and requests before buying our first house was answered promptly from different forms of communication — calls, texts and emails. She made it so much easier and gave us a peace of mind since we were travelling overseas at the last week of escrow. Jocelyn took initiative and got everything prepared before we left for the trip. She constantly communicated with us while on vacation to give us updates and feedbacks on the process before closing the home. We actually closed the home while we were abroad and we are glad that we had Jocelyn to take care and organize everything.

Jocelyn was a big help in the process towards me getting my first home after I returned to California. Overall, it was a much better experience than with my previous somewhat apathetic realtor when I tried to buy in Texas. She always kept me up to date on anything going during the home buying process and was open to any questions I had throughout.
She and her broker were able to communicate with the listing agent and seller to keep things afloat when there was some slight delays going on prior to closing. If you out starting the home search, you should definitely give her a call. It was a pleasure working with her!

As a realtor, resource, and professional, Jocelyn Lomahan exceeded our expectations.
Our family moved back to San Diego after 13yrs. We were trying to meet a deadline of finding our forever home within a small time frame; we needed a realtor we could rely on in all aspects of purchasing a home. We found Jocelyn to be very knowledgeable and patient. We needed someone to help us navigate our way from beginning to end, and Jocelyn was without a doubt– perfect! Jocelyn took the time to get to know our needs/​wants and always acted in our best interest. She is honest and tells her opinion without being pushy.
We looked at a handful of homes (sometimes making multiple visits to the same ones). We never felt rushed to make an offer to do anything we weren’t ready to do. When we eventually found our dream home, she went above and beyond for us:
Coordinator– Our loan broker was located in the Bay Area but this did not hinder the process as Jocelyn was constantly in step with all parties– our loan broker, seller’s agent, and us. She even took the time to play taxi-​driver by picking up/​dropping off our deposit to the escrow office (a 40min drive).
Communication– Jocelyn quickly responds to emails, texts, and phone calls. We were able to sign all documents electronically through email which expedited the process.
Education– The home-​buying and escrow process can be very intimidating even though this wasn’t our first time purchasing a home. Jocelyn answered all our questions (i.e., community, documents, home repairs, etc.) and even suggested creative solutions to ensure we were satisfied w/​the end deal.
Resource– Jocelyn has built up a network of resources which came in handy when we needed a home inspector, arborist, general contractor, plumber (that can perform video scans), and electrician.

Jocelyn was referred by a co-​worker and she assisted me on purchasing my 1^st home. She was very accommodating throughout the whole process. I’m a PM at work so I can be demanding at times however Jocelyn was wonderful the whole time. I had a very bad experience working with our escrows company which we had to go with due to the seller requirement. Delays after delays made me worry if we could of close on time however Jocelyn performed beautifully. She followed up everyday to help and at the end because of her persistence we were able to close on time.
Jocelyn is a really good person and I highly recommend her. For my next house (~6 years from now), Jocelyn will definitively be my agent again.

When my husband and I first moved to San Diego, we were looking for a rental. My husband contacted several realtors looking for help locating a place, and Jocelyn was the only one who reached out to us. The other realtors just told us to look at their website. Jocelyn called us, made phone calls on our behalf, took an interest in our needs, and gave us lots of information about the area.
After a few months of renting, we were ready to start looking for a house to purchase. Of course Jocelyn was the only person we considered calling to help us find our home. She helped find the perfect house for us, and was with us every step of the way. She was always in contact with us, letting us know what was going on with the purchase, and helping us to navigate all of the hurdles along the way (and we had a lot of hurdles — permitting issues galore!). Jocelyn helped us get it all straightened out so we didn’t have to inherit any problems. We love our new home, and hope we’re here for a good, long time. If we do decide to move again, though, Jocelyn will definitely be the one and only realtor we’ll call.

Jocelyn guided us through the whole process of upgrading from our townhome to our dream home for our family. She is very knowledgable about the market and made the entire buying and selling process so easy for us. There is so much that goes on during the escrow process. Jocelyn helped us purchase our first home last year and was amazing to work with. She always took her time with us and consistently brought knowledge, patience, and peace to every situation we faced. We asked Jocelyn to help transition us back to North County and could not have asked for a better experience. Jocelyn helped my husband and I find our first home in Rancho Penasquitos. We probably worked on and off with Jocelyn for 4 years until we began putting in offers on houses, so she definitely showed us an unending string of patience. Never once did she pressure us into buying a home until we were good and ready.
We had found a home that we loved that almost got accepted by a seller. We ended up being a «back up» offer on a short sale and we didn’t find another home we really liked for quite sometime. Jocelyn continued to follow up with the listing agent quietly reminding them that we were still there in case the original buyer decided to bail.
Then we found another home almost 4 months later that we were convinced we wouldn’t get with how many people were looking at the house on the first day it was listed, but Jocelyn kept saying, «You never know! You should put in an offer anyway. The worst thing that could happen is they don’t accept the offer!» It was so great she encouraged us to do exactly that because a week later our offer was accepted! It was another short sale so we knew we were in for a long wait.
As first time homebuyers we took this opportunity to ask A LOT of questions and Jocelyn found an answer for all of them. She provided examples of home inspection reports from various vendors so we could get an idea of the variety and the costs. She even helped negotiate more items to include in our loan to maximize the use of our lender credits!
Throughout the short sale waiting period, she continually reassured us that if we wanted to walk away, it was okay to do so and no feelings would be hurt. She wanted us in the RIGHT home more than just ANY home to close a deal. Jocelyn showed genuine concern for our happiness and satisfaction!
