I met with Courtney that works there. She was very helpful in the process of choosing a custom-​made necklace. I was very excited about how it turned out, even better than I expected. Although the gem was a bit small, Josh guaranteed me that I got a very good price for the necklace compared to how much I would have bought it at a different jewelry store. I also am impressed of the fact that although it was small, it was clean, natural, and sparkled beautifully, as compared to a big and cheap gem that one can easily buy from Amazon.
Courtney was prompt in her responses, helped me with different styles of the necklace, and was able to meet my needs financially.
When I met with Josh, he was very professional and was genuinely intrigued in his work. It is really awesome that he can create pretty much anything that you have in mind, he is very creative.
My girlfriend had previously told me that I didn’t need to buy her anything, but when she saw the necklace, she was very surprised and very happy. The natural pink tourmaline sterling silver necklace sparkles very nicely and adds to her already amazing beauty.

This review is long over due. Josh at J Jewels is awesome. He was excellent as he answered all of my questions and walked me through the process of picking the perfect engagement ring for my fiancé (now wife). He was also able to get me an incredible deal on my wedding band set. Will certainly be doing business with Josh in the future.

Josh at J Jewels is great at what he does! My good friend and also my brother referred me to Josh when I was getting engaged. Josh worked with me to design exactly what I wanted and in my price range. My wife loves her rings and gets compliments all the time. Josh stands behind all his jewelry. I take our rings back to get cleaned and they look like the day i first picked them up. I will always have Josh and J Jewels as my jeweler. You won’t be disappointed!

I had an experience with Josh at J Jewels that I feel warrants a raving review. I was referred to J Jewels by a friend when I mentioned that I was going to start looking for an engagement ring. I called and made an appt to meet with Josh later in the week to talk about what I was looking for.
I wasn’t looking for a cookie cutter ring, I wanted to design it myself and incorporate my late mother’s diamond into it somehow. When I walked in I didn’t know much of anything about diamonds/​rings/​etc. but Josh was so informative and helpful during our first meeting that I felt very comfortable with the decisions I had made. We ended up designing a ring that had 2 additional settings at the base of the main setting in order to hold my mom’s diamond (that we had cut in half and shaped).
As for the diamond selection… Josh asked me what price range I was comfortable with and showed me a vast selection of different quality/​size diamonds within that range. That was by far the hardest part. He had such a great selection that it made it hard for me to decide on one. I finally chose the perfect diamond for my girlfriend and the ring was made, my mom’s diamond was cut, and the new diamond was set within a week!
Above all else, for me the best part about doing business with Josh is that he understood the meaning and importance of incorporating my mom’s ring into something that you can’t put a price tag on. When I proposed, my fiancé loved the ring so much that as she was saying yes, she took it right out of my hand and put it on her finger. A few minutes later I got the chance to tell her about the diamonds on the side and she loved it even more! She hasn’t taken it off since and it’s still as beautiful as when I picked it up.
I highly recommend Josh at J Jewels for any of your jewelry needs. He’s extremely knowledgeable, informative, honest, and personable. All of which are very important qualities when you are looking for something so valuable.

Josh, the owner, is the best jeweler in town in my opinion. I have been getting my jewelry and repairs with him for the past 4 years as long as I have lived in San Diego and couldn’t imagine taking my business elsewhere. I’d highly recommend him to anyone who wants an honest jeweler.
