Problems from Day 1. I was renting a non-​smoking unit that reeked of smoke. Went round and round with management about this issue and they never cleaned it before I occupied it. Smoke from other units intruding all the time. After a few months I learned that other units didn’t have the no smoking clause in their leases. Dead roaches under the fridge and stove.
Neighbors are loud and rude. There is one unit with 5 adults living in a one bedroom. Management is ineffective.
I emailed the management company my termination letter Jan 19^th through the company’s website contact page. After hearing nothing for a week I called them to find out why I hadn’t heard back from them. The person I talked to said it was someone else’s job to check the email. She found the email and told me I had to submit a termination letter. I told her this was a termination letter. This company has no clue.

If you want to pay for your neighbors energy and want an account opened in your name months after you moved out this is the company for you. Absolutely the worst people to work with. When we moved into our property on 32^nd street we were not informed they were renting out the garage for people to live in. The people living in the garage would harass us when parking and bang on our door on all times of night. they were stealing our electricity as well which J&D knew about from the start! When we contacted them they refused to do anything about it and we acquired a $ 200 electricity bill for a garage we weren’t paying for and now three months after moving up we find out that they opened an account with sd&g under our name for the electricity. These people are an absolute scam. Please do not rent from them.

My brand new townhome got flooded off brancroft dr next to lamar park due to mulfunction sprinkler head in my son rm on 10÷11÷15. Today is already 10÷26÷15 and we still not back in our unit. Julie over @ office is really unprofessional when comes to turn around time. My move in date was postpone 3x already since they stated I’m good to move in. What that tell you? They hire lowbudget vendors that post to get the job done right first time around and not prolonging it. Will update when status once we in if that day comes.

My father and law lives in the Curtis Manor Aparrments in Lemon Grove owned by JD property management. They have lived there for 3 years and had no issues. Last month they discovered they had bed bugs and mold in the bathroom that was spreading. The onsite manager claimed it was caused by them living there and they had to pay $ 300 to get the apartment sprayed. There is no facts supporting the claim that it was caused by my father and law as bed bugs are becoming a ongoing issue in San Diego especially in older buildings. Mind you this apartment has advertised that they have a pool but it has not been available or opened for 3 years because they did not want to fix it. It now just got opened and they locked it up again (talk about false advertisement). I called the property management myself and explained to the situation and they were actually at the time happy to help. They offered to pay for the bed bugs and are going to get treatment for the mold. Sounds like amazing people right? No they than gave my father and law a 60 day notice to leave. Thanks to an unfortunate twist we can not fight this being he is on a month to month lease. I am sure that they have better properties and manage them better but if your looking to move in an apartment I would suggest to look somewhere else. They do not like to spend money on thier property and if they do your going to be kicked our so they can rent it to someone else who does not complain. Please be aware but I don’t have to warn you stop by the apartment and see for yourself!

I thought RPM was the worst property manager in San Diego but these guys have one-​upped them.
Shortly before firing them, they pursued an eviction on a Section 8 tenant without ever consulting us. This overpriced eviction (triple what we normally pay) left us $ 1k negative on one of our many properties due to the astronomical attorney fees.
They owed us over $ 5k in rents form the last month they were on duty but refused to pay us the money until we paid for the $ 1k attorney fee. Last time I checked, this is called a ransom!

We’ll soon be moving out of our home that J& D Manages, and it’s truly been a pleasure! We are relocating out of state, otherwise I would try and get in another property they manage. The past year and a half has been wonderful, I love my home and the staff at J& D has always been very helpful and it was nice to not have to worry about things getting taken care of if problems arose. They really care about providing great places for families to live, and show that with their top notch customer service.
Hats off to Dave, Helen, Oliver and the team, you have a wonderful organization going there, and it’s been great working with you all!

Bottom line: if you read their presentation, you’ll see that these guys are lousy writers.
Other bottom line: these guys KNOW APARTMENT OPERATIONS LIKE THE BACK OF THEIR HANDS.
They manage my units in the Banker’s Hill area. They don’t sacrifice necessary maintenance to make you happy with a nice check (followed sometime down the road with angry tenants and a monster repair bill). Joe Siemienowski is a significant owner of income properties and knows how to run them in good times and bad. I know for a fact that he manages client’s properties with as much care and consideration as he does his own… for real. His partner (Dave) is very adroit at conducting maint., repairs and upgrades. He gets bang for the buck without sacrificing sufficiency and durability on the «hammer» side of operations. I’ve taken their advice on matters because they’ve earned it. I’m getting performance and peace of mind. They’re my guys and I couldn’t be more pleased.
