Installators – Appliance Installation

Just beware if your doing a remodel & may need some extra work done. They charge an $ 85.00 trip charge so after you get an outrageous estimate & don’t hire them he’s had a great day for 10 minutes! I should do that for my business and just drive around town raking in the trip charges. I paid $ 140.00 for my electrician to install my cooktop which took 4 hours & running wire & Mike wanted $ 125.00 to unhook and remove it. Every single component to make the remodel work was an overcharge. The «worst case scenario» to install the downdraft was $ 700.00. Perhaps worthwhile if the hookup is very simple but if it takes some creativity be prepared. Mikes attitude about my concern for the costs was abrupt & defensive. The only plus is they responded and came out quickly.

This may or may not be their fault (Could be Unilocal) but it rates a 1 regardless. When you type in Appliance Install and then the zip code of 92 101 (encompasses downtown) these guys come up third on the list. After communicating with them they explained they do not actually perform installs downtown. Either they need to update their coverage area or Unilocal needs to. Wasting my time either way = The 1 banger!

They make an appointment that I cancel less than 24 hours later — technically 22 hours before the scheduled appointment time window (4 hour window) and yet they charge a cancellation fee? In bad taste.

Highly recommended. Home Depot referral. Mike did an excellent job installing my in cabinet microwave oven, and removing the old broken one. Very professional, knowledgeble, neat, clean and friendly service at a reasonable cost. Would use them again.

This is the second time that I’ve used Installators (installed cooktop [with tile modifications] and installed under cabinet exhaust fan). Both jobs were done very professionally and at what I consider to be a reasonable cost.
I would highly recommend this service.

We had a broken microwave as part of our oven/​micro combo. Mike did a great job separating the combo, then installed a shelf for our new, stand-​alone microwave. Took care of all the details (new power outlet for microwave), very pleasant and professional! Thanks so much!

This review is purely based off of Installator’s ability to pick up a phone and talk to a customer.
I had some time off and needed a washer/​dryer installed. I called, left a message, no response. I did this three consecutive days before I legitimately needed somebody to come and get the job done so I went elsewhere. Out of all the phone calls I made and messaged I left, I still have not heard a single peep out of these guys, which is vexing.
2 stars for poor (read: non-​existent) customer communication.

Home Depot referred Installators to us for a wall double oven installation and a removal of existing oven unit. Mike did an excellent job, knowledgeable, professional, and explained all relevant information! We definitely will refer this company to neighbors and friends!

Fantastic, stress-​free experience getting a major appliance moved from one end of the county to the other! The driver showed up on time, carefully removed handles in order to get the refrigerator through a narrow doorway, took care loading & securing the thing & reversed the process when, not 2 minutes after I, they arrived at the destination. Mike was smart, figured out the best strategy to get the job done and shared some small talk with me, all the while working quickly & efficiently; important when the job is billed for time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Mike came to install a couple of appliances for us on fairly short notice. He was prompt, efficient and pleasant to deal with. The booking process was great as well. I would use them again!

Wow. Fabulous service. Home Depot referred me to install my dishwasher. Mike was wonderful, professional and did a great job. I highly recommend this company. And, I found Mike very honest. I had been told by the Home Depot delivery service that I needed a new hot water shut off… I didn’t and Mike saved me the cost of a new part. Great job.

First time home depot recommended them to me. I have used installators for kitchen appliances installation (Microwave and Garbage disposer). Mike is really professional. He explained to me what he is doing. Deena is very help making appointment and returning callback. They are little expensive than others but they are licensesd, bonded and insured. So little peace of mind and quality of work, I am ok to pay little more. I will definitely use them again.

We needed someone to check our gas dryer connection, and I called this company and talked to Deana. She was very helpful, and asked a couple of questions about our problem. She said that Mike would be stopping by later this afternoon to check things out. (I called late at almost 3:00Pm on a Friday). Mike was here an ½ hr later, very professional, and told us that we had a faulty gas connection for the dryer. Fixed all very quickly, and when I asked what he could tell me about our disposal (which was not working) he looked at it and unscrewed something and voila it is working… He did not charge us for that. And, he was cheap. So, Mike we certainly will call your company again… sorry that they do not work on Refrigerators, but he gave me a reputable company to call.

I can’t say enough good things about them. Mike is very detail-​oriented; before installing my new oven he discovered that the oven needed a 50A circuit breaker and i only had 40 in the house. To replace with a 50A would have run me mega-​bucks. he saved me by checking this out before the install. He came back to help me work through a more complex installation, and he will come back to do the install next week. Each time, I’m more and more impressed with his knowledge and attention to the small stuff because he knows this counts. He is courteous and considerate. I would recommend this company to anybody as I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
