Been trying to make a reservation for 2 weeks straight. The first week they told me I couldn’t make a reservation because the place was reserved for a wedding. Second time they just didn’t answer their phone.

The worst sushi I’ve ever had. The rice was old and almost no fish. I’ve had better sushi from the grocery store.

I really liked this place. Even though we came on the wrong day to use our Living Social coupon, the owner graciously sat us anyway. He provided a great experience for us and accommodated us the whole time. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the sushi is great. I will definitely be dining here again.

Yikes, we need to call Living Social and tell them about this place. Dear Owner, it’s offensive to your customers that you sell your menu of «sushi» with no sushi bar to make it in front of them. Then we see from the bar mirror into the kitchen that in fact you are the one rushing to the back to make it. Do you think your customers are stupid? Do you think we’ve never had sushi before? Do you think that rice is normal and the quality up to par? Have you been to a sushi bar? All of the smoke and mirrors with your selling of the menu, your law degree to name the rolls after, and the hostess only providing us with a choice of red or white wine with no names is astounding. Then we were charged $ 80? You came out and saw we barely touched our rolls and never said a word. We were both in such shock with the«food» presented to us that I was asked to not make a scene. Dude, seriously? I could see you in the kitchen frantically jamming rolls together like the ones I tried to make in a sushi class years ago. Then you actually served that crap to us?!! Wow. I’m so sad for you, but more than that, I’m absolutely offended you think your customers are idiots. Honestly the worst sushi I’ve ever had and agree with the other customers that this guy needs to be shut down. The good news is that since we were celebrating the culmination of one of my biggest projects, we decided to shake this awful experience off, laugh at the sadness, and go get a real meal at the wine bar near our house. There is always a silver lining to every situation if you make it so.

I was invited to a going away party for a friend at this place I was really looking forward to trying out there sushi but guess what they had no food? we walked in and the place looks like it is still under construction? I asked the bartender for a cocktail and it was served in a plastic cup? So got my cocktail and proceeded down the stairs to where the DJ and dance floor are. So we get to the stairs and it is completely black no light nothing so I carefully with the help of my boyfriend go down the stairs in high heals holding on to him and the railing for dear life! but wait! the railing is missing sections of it! thank god I had my boyfriend to hold on to other wise I probably would have ended up at the bottom of the stairs on the floor waiting for paramedics to pick me up off of the floor! anyways I survived that. we started to walk in and I almost fell because the tile flooring was super slippery like it had a clear coat of grease on it! once again I was holding on to my boyfriend with both hands as I slipped and slide all across the floor. this has got to be the worst place ever they need to step it up or close the doors for good.

My wife and I would of liked to say this in person, but being the only two people in the place on a Friday night, we didn’t have the heart. First off, you would think a wine lounge would offer more than two wines, and it would of been nice to get more than three ounces of wine for a $ 9 glass. It was pretty good at least. The variety of sushi was decent but, no offense to the owner who was cool, but it was basically a bunch of dried up rice with hardly any fish. Additionally, the water glasses were cheap looking plastic, the owner, was the only one working basically, as the server didn’t do much or know anything about the menu, the place looked like it was still being worked on, and the furniture was definitely worn down. For the prices they’re charging, I don’t see this place making it. At least since we had a Groupon, it wasn’t a total waste, but was probably one of worst places we’ve experienced in SD for the overall experience. Again, the owner was conversational and nice, but the place is a work in progress.

This restaurant may have the worst sushi I’ve ever had. Upon entering the establishment I immediately wanted to turn around and leave due to the off smell; however, my husband convinced me to stay… The rice was hard, the fish did not seem to be sushi grade, the décor is just off. The owner is clingy. There are plenty of better sushi places downtown that wouldn’t give me nightmares of food borne illnesses…

I’m so happy I stumbled upon this place. The décor is absolutely cute. Owner is personable and the sushi AMAZE balls. Sake is yummy too. Can’t wait to ck this out when their is a Cuban band present, 80’s band. or even a speakeasy event.

We had a Groupon and tried it out the other night. We really liked the layout and the use of raw materials and modern décor. It was really inviting. From the door, it was a good experience. The owner greets you and tells you a bit about his place, his background and about himself. Gives you a quick run down of the menu and what other people seem to like. He was really nice and I liked his drive. Another thing I appreciated is that they gave samples of the house white and red wines. Both were really good. Our rolls came out pretty quick. Another thing that is big for me is I don’t like when servers come over continuously, interrupting your meal to ask if everything ok, but I also don’t want to be neglected and have to look around when its time for more water or the check. They gave just the right amount of attention. And the owner was out there serving and making sure we were taken care of. That went far. We definitely will be back, especially when he has music there. Looking forward to it.

My friends and I came here because of a deal we found online. Wine bar and sushi? Count us in! Brandon was ridiculously friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We felt so welcomed there. The atmosphere was modern and very lounge like and comfortable. Note: I love how the wines change every month so that you get a wide variety of choices. The rolls offered were all very interesting. Some of them had Italian influences. I would have never expected that before. Edamame: Good amount of salt but really el dente. Infuzon Flaming Tower Roll: The roll was pretty tasty with a small kick, but there was a bit to much rice and not enough filling for my taste. The fish seemed pretty fresh though. Josie and the pussy cats: Same issue with too much rice as the other roll, but I did enjoy the nice jalapeño kick from the jalapeño slices and the nice citrus flavor from the ponzu that made the roll more refreshing. Overall, this was a really nice place to hangout and enjoy wine as well as really interesting and tasty fusion rolls. The service was amazing and the place was very inviting. We were always felt that we were taken care of. However, I think I would enjoy the place more as a wine bar rather than sushi. Some improvements(like less rice) on the sushi would probably change my mind though.

The food was splendid and just the way I wanted. The service was excellent, and very friendly. I totally recommend this sushi place. The only con is that I wish it could have a better«advertisement» from the outside. I almost kept on going thinking that the place was closed down; it didn’t look like the place was on business from outside.

Infuzion’s sushi roles are sooo delicious!!! Dynamite, Hollywood, and Josie & the pussy cats are the best sushi rolls ever! My friends and I enjoyed the great music band and danced the night away! We will definitely come back!!! The bartender made our favorite drinks too; cape cods :) thank you for a great time!

Dynamite was toooooo spicy for me! I wanted to rip my teeth out! Hollywood was delicious. I think it had tuna but I can’t be sure. I didn’t ask enough questions/retain enough information to be sure of its ingredients. Josie and the pussy cats contain jalapeño and tuna amongst a variety of other ingredients. The server/waiter was very kind and generous. Live music playing samba, salsa, merengue, and a variety of other things. Great sound. The space is nice. Not too busy. Service was quick. Lower level had a dance floor. Top level was bar/restaurant/lounge. Big space. Nice ambiance. The drinks were ok.

Can’t make a reservation for the past three days. Phone line is always busy. Edit: been calling the wrong number ah ha ha But anyways, Music was 10⁄10 The décor and lighting was 10⁄10 Sushi 4⁄10 I wish the large projected tv was playing the music videos of the actual songs that would have been really cool Sushi rice was dry and hard to come apart, the crab meat on all sushi was dry, it should have been mixed with more mayo or cream cheese. Area around is kinda ghetto, parking is hard to find. Guy was super chill, nice, and respectful. I give it a 3.5÷5 By far best music selection from any bar or restaurant ever. I came on a Friday night if that helps.

If you’re looking for an experience, come to this place. It feels a lot more like going to someone’s house for a home cooked sushi meal than a restaurant because the owner is the Prince of restaurants: he cooks, waits on you, goes over the menu, pours drinks and I’m sure he washes the places and probably lives there, so it’s a very at-someone’s house vibe. The sitting areas are a bit odd, the table is about three feet lower than usual. High chairs, very low tables. So we opted to sit at the bar. Menu looks very tempting, everything sounds unique and creative — and delicious! — but, like a previous reviewer, we did get a bug in our plate. The owner did explain that the recent rain has created a bug problem and it’s understandable, he quickly whipped us another roll and even joked about it so that was cool. Speaking of which, we ordered the Hollywood, the Infuzon Tower and the Defender. The Hollywood is def our fav, the Infuzon was also very good, very creative and different than other sushi places… minus the bugs! We did get two free sake shots. Yum! But then… One of our drinks were taken away. Yup. We were saving it for after our meal but… we got two new drinks in return, I think the bartender figured we didn’t like it(we did!!!) but we did enjoy the vodka+7up+other stuff drinks we got instead. In fact, we went out and bought the same vodka bottle later on. Hence, another reason why it feels like going to someone’s house instead of a restaurant. So, if you’re looking for a unique experience then come here. Drink a lot, chat with the owner and the bartress. It can be a lot fun if you come here with that in mind: v Use groupon! They have an excellent pair of deals going on. No doubt the owner has good intentions, an excellent and creative sushi chef but maybe with more staff to help out this place could be a hit!

Cool vibe– kind of hip, upscale wine bar/lounge, but still comfortable. Friendly, attentive service from the owner himself, Brandon. Great lunch special going on now — $ 7 for any roll(usually $ 12 – 14), plus coke/diet coke & edamame. Can’t beat that. I tried the Josie and the Pussycats w/.spicy tuna, cilantro ad cucumber inside, topped w/yellowtail and slice of lemon and jalapeño. Quite tasty. Might have to try the«Litigator» or Flaming Tower next time. No wine list, but they bring in wines from local wineries, so apparently it’s frequently changing. But a cool new spot.

Like Lacy, I bought a travelzoo voucher for $ 30 to get $ 60 worth of food. We had their Rancho Bernardo chardonnay too and it wasn’t a bad deal. As for the sushi, it was fresh and creative. I much preferred their specialty rolls like the flaming tower and the octopus one to the standard shrimp tempura and spicy tuna. My only complaint would be that they have wine lounge in their name and there is no wine list. I know they are featuring sole proprietor owned wine by Rancho Bernardo Vineyard, it just would have been nice to see a wine list and have some choices. Also, we ordered a bottle and it came by the glass. Sometimes the wine was cold and other times room temperature. Otherwise the service was great and it is a very trendy spot. Definitely more lounge/bar atmosphere.
