We’ve been doing business for 24 years and sell retail to individuals and practitioners through our shop in San Diego and through mail order. We offer herb classes and consultations. Our knowledgeable staff of herbalists and aromatherapists will assist you in choosing the right herbal and aromatherapy products to fit your health, cosmetic, tea and culinary desires.

History

Established in 1986.

We opened our business with the intention of supplying high quality herbs and herbal products to our community. As professional Herbalists, we hold great appreciation for the plants and share our knowledge with those that wish to learn more. Now, 28 years later, we continue our vision by offering and expanding our selection of uplifting gifts and health promoting items. We are happy to be of service.

I love this shop! Smoothie additives, healing plants for tinctures and salves. Tins and bottles for storing your concoctions. All sorts of essential oils, wellness supplements. Very informative, friendly staff and owner! This place is a favorite of mine and I recommend it to many of my massage clients. Go! :)

Super Awesome little herbs and tea shop! The people there are supper helpful and knowledgable. Prices were super affordable. Went to the herb shop on Newport and the prices were crazy high where here allows you to try things in smaller amounts. Can’t say much better things about this place, they were exactly what we needed!

Definitely stop in here!
I came by on a quiet Wednesday before the mayhem of the farmers market began and couldn’t even handle how much amazing this little shop had inside.
The folks behind the counter were exceptionally helpful– they made some recommendations and I left with two books.
They love and take pride in their oils because they’re organic, and some brands are made in the county of San Diego. You can’t beat that with a stick! They seem to have a vast selection of Herbs and other things as well such as cards gifts jewelry, and awesome things for your alter if you’re a Yogi or Yogine.
I hope you do park in the Mexican restaurant parking lot and walk in and take a visit.
They offer classes and they’re closed Tuesday’s for herb consults. Enjoy!

They were very friendly over the phone and took the time to tell me where to park to make it convenient for me. Once I got in the small shop, but they were very nice and helpful. They tell me how important it is to take omega-​3 fatty acid. They have a certain brand that is much better than other brands. They were out but they will call me when they get the next shipment. They gave me a sample. I also bought some herbs called RUE. My cats have been going in my neighbors-​flower bed and the RUE is very helpful to keep them out as well as Cayanne pepper. I found that they had these herbs on Unilocal.So I drove out to Ocean Beach. It is a cute neighborhood.

Great products, great prices. If they don’t have what you need on the floor they almost certainly have it in back so don’t hesitate to ask. Jody and staff are also a wealth of knowledge. Cute jewelry too!

I didn’t get to go inside because they were closed. The website has the weekday hours listed for Monday through Thursday, but when I went today, Tuesday, they were closed. The sign on the door said closed on Tuesday. I was disappointed to have driven 30 miles for no reason, but I was able to find what I needed at Whole Foods in Hillcrest. I put two stars because the store did look pretty neat through the window, but seriously, please update your site with the correct hours. I won’t be making any special trips back to Harmony, but if I’m in the neighborhood I would definitely give it a second try.

I went in to find some ingredients to make a remedy fort cat’s allergies and found everything I was looking for, after searching all over town. the prices are reasonable and the owner was really helpful and couldn’t have been nicer. I highly recommend this shop — I would much rather support small local business, especially when it comes to holistic /​organic herbs and aromatherapy.

I’ve been a customer of In Harmony for many years, since their old location and have appreciated their decent selection of herbs and gifts. I won’t be attempting to visit them again after today though unfortunately. I literally have not been inside the shop for over a year because today, for the 4th time in the past year or so, I’ve driven over from North Park to find them closed. I even called today to make sure they were going to be open. Jodi assured me they’d be open until 6 and I literally jumped in my car right after speaking with her. There was another gentleman waiting outside when I arrived as well, having driven down from La Jolla. I understand needing to get out of the shop occasionally or not opening exactly on time on a Saturday, but I won’t waste my time or energy trying to get there any longer. I went to People’s and got what I needed.

This is the origional OB herb shop. they are not a big corporate store that profits from exploiting the herbs. They have lots of stuff in stock and can order anything you need.

If your looking for the Organic Natural way of sleeping, cleaning, and cooking .THIS IS THE SPOT! Its a bit of a drive for me but WORTH IT. The customer service here is the best ever and I make the monthly trip to get what I need. Don’t forget to stop in the candle and jewelry isle !!!

Extremely helpful. They will assist you for what seems like as long as it takes to find exactly what you need. The woman who owns it and the gentleman who works there to do herbal consultations are down to earth, intelligent, and genuinely interested in you.
They seem to be closed most of the time, but it’s actually only on Tuesdays, when the do private herbal consultations. Small shop, but hundreds of items in the back room. Classes are available too.

Amazing little gem in OB. Tiny store full of magical herbs. They have essential oils, dried herbs, candles, cards, beautiful jewelry, and the staff is super friendly. The lady working there, which I am assuming is the owner was so nice and helpful. She teaches one of the classes which I want to take as soon as its available!
I couldnt find a few of the herbs I was looking for but she packaged them up for me in the back, and one of the herbs was on order. She got my number to let me know when it arrives! Even though the prices are a little higher than wholesale place I usually buy from, sometimes you dont need 1 lb of frankincense or 5 lbs of lavender! I will definately be back in the near future!

Don’t let the tiny little shop fool you, this place has lots to offer. I picked up some sleepy spray to help me sleep better on those nights where my mind will not stop running, and some herbal tea.
The nice lady that works behind the counter really knows her stuff. she is a gem. If you have a problem or are looking for a certain something, just describe it to her and she will find just what you are looking for!
also snagged some organic dark chocolate with blueberries and mushroom pieces in it. :)
