Oh my goodness– look no further. There is no one better than Shima! I’ve had my lashes done by many different people over the years, and Shima is the absolute best! I just moved from NYC 3 months ago, and I needed to find a new lash artist here in San Diego. I tried someone else before I found Shima, and each time I had a fill, at least half of the lashes fell out in under a week. So I was on the hunt for someone who is able to put on a beautiful set THAT LASTS! I’m soooo happy I trusted Shima’s Unilocal reviews, because she is the best I’ve found in nearly 3 years of having my eyelashes done! Don’t even think twice– text her and set up an appointment! You’ll be sooo happy with her work :)

Shima does a great job! The ambiance is comfortable. She plays soothing music. Has candles lit or the occasional diffuser on. Get comfy with pillows and blankets so you can relax while she makes you beautiful. She also has mints and candies with refreshments like coffee or water readily available!
She is very thorough ensuring each lash fill is done to perfection. Though she is thorough she is very affordable! She takes her time to ensure you are satisfied with the results — be sure you leave yourself time if you make an appointment and need to be somewhere after.
She is sweet and kind. We always have great conversation the times when I don’t fall asleep while she goes to work! Shima knows a few people in the hair skin and nails industry if you need other referrals for services.
I would highly recommend her to anyone :)

Shima really lived up to her reviews on here 100%. Warm, knowledgeable, great at making you feel relaxed and comfortable. She is quick but accurate which is a huge plus for me. I have been getting extensions on and off for several years and this to date is the best experience with costs and the results. So happy I found her and it is only 2 miles from my house!!! Do not hesitate go see Shima you will not be disappointed.

So grateful I’ve found Shima ! She is a true artist and eyelash extension master! Before Shima I tried 4 other lash gals who were so-​so to bad. .NEWS FLASH— THIS IS YOUR EYE AREA PEOPLE — HOLY DELICATE! —AND EXTENSIONS CAN COST A FLIPPING SMALL FORTUNE! With that said, I have spent too much in the past and experienced an uncomfortable feel and a non lasting result. Frustrating and wasteful :/​but MS. SHIMA IS THE DIFFERENCE! She really cares!!! My lashes are Affordable now, last up to a month, are extremely comfortable AND LOOK AMAZING… Shima is professional, verrrry clean and has a beautiful space in PB, And SHE is seriously one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Thank you Shima, I appreciate you taking care of my lashes ! You’re the Best! I keep passing out your business cards ;)

Shima does the most incredible lashes ever! They last SO long and they don’t damage your natural lashes. She always does a thorough consult on what type of look I’m going for with my lashes (whereas in the past I’ve had ladies just throw on the thickest lashes possible and damage my natural lashes) Shima is extremely attentive and detail oriented, I always reccomend her to all my friends and coworkers. Not to mention I recieve tons of compliments on then daily!

Shima is AMAZING! Her lashes last for weeks, and her pricing is extremely affordable. Her office is so cute, and she always does such a great job making sure I am comfortable during our sessions. I love that Shima is incredibly friendly — she is seriously the sweetest person I know. I look forward to my appointments because not only do I leave with amazing looking lashes — I get to chat for an hour with a friend!

Nothing but positive experiences here from booking to leaving! Shima was professional and prompt with her responses to set up an appointment and was wonderful and sweet to meet in person! She was clean and quick with my lash fill and made my eye lashes look amazing and like they might even be my own (except way better hahah). Her location is also fabulous with plenty of street parking and an adorable little salon. Not to mention her prices are amazing compared to what I’ve seen around San Diego.
Go to Shima and you will not regret it!

I just got my lashes done with Shima today. I love them! They look & feel natural & it was a very comfortable experience. Shima was very sweet & proffesional & answered all my questions. My husband noticed my lashes right away & said they looked so natural & pretty. I got the «mascara look» because I hate putting on mascara everyday just for my eyelashes to show up at all. The salon was very cute & clean, not to mention walking distance from my home. I will definitely be back for my fill in a few weeks!

I found Shima after getting a manicure at Arch Nails and a spray tan at Summer Sheen. I loved that I could get all of my beauty must haves at one place! I had been doing lash extensions in the past but had given it a rest for a few months. I was going on vacation though and wanted to look good in photos and not have to worry about the hassle of mascara. I told her I wanted a very natural look. We ended up doing about 70 lashes in each eye and it looked perfect. Exactly what I wanted. The next day I went to work and was wearing literally NO makeup. No tinted moisturizer or anything. Everyone kept saying how good I looked that day and asking what makeup I was wearing and it was the lashes! That’s it! That was the biggest compliment ever to not wear any makeup and people tell you that you look good! Shima is one of the sweetest people not to mention so gentle and thorough. She wanted them to be even more perfect than I did! Found my new one stop shop! You will not be disappointed.

I have had at least 4 full set and over 10 fills with Shima. I will never go anywhere else unless I’m in another state with no choice but to try somewhere else. It’s that good. My sister lives in New York and when she came here during her last visit she was blown away by the quality of Shima’s work.
I like going to Shima because she is so patient and her work last for at least 3 weeks for me.
I’m so happy to move to her new location on Cass and Wilbur because the parking is so much better and safer.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have been to over 15 eyelash technicians in San Diego and nobody comes remotely close to Shima! Not only is she amazing at what she does, she is incredibly friendly and accommodating to the utmost; with both appointment requests and personal preference of eyelash style (curl, length, feel, etc.). She uses the best products (that last long!) and treats her customers with great care.
Save yourself the time and energy looking elsewhere because if you’re reading this review, you’ve found the best (take it from someone who has had eyelash extensions for 4 years now).

I cannot recommend Shima and IMA Beauty enough!!!
This was the second time I tried eyelash extensions and this experience was 10 times better than my last.
I’ll just give you a short list of why Shima and IMA is wonderful:
1. I wanted an appointment on a specific day, and I’m pretty sure she stayed an hour or so late to accommodate me;
2. I was offered tea or water by the first lady that saw me;
3.Both the small lobby and the room was lovely, peaceful, and clean.
4. She listened during my consultation, and heard my needs.
5. She was so sweet and chatted to me about my upcoming wedding;
6. She did an AMAZING job on my lashes!!!
7. When I only had a big bill to tip with she refused any tip at all. **
8. 2 weeks later and my lashes still look great!
** the ONLY reason I allowed her to refuse a tip is because I knew I’d be back soon and make it up to her. She deserves it!!!
ADVICE:
–Text or call her now, you’ll love it!
— Be a little patient, she’s super busy and still absolutely gets back to you soon!
— When I walked in, there was no one there to greet me, which threw me for just one second. There was a sign that said services were in session and to wait… so I did, and it didn’t matter… There’s candy and water there waiting for ya so kick back and relax!

I got my first ever eyelash extensions done at the I.M.A Beauty today.
The salon is very clean with a relaxing atmosphere. Shima, the owner of the I.M.A. Beauty /​eyelash stylist, did a great job! She is sweet and friendly, but best of all her quality of work is outstanding!
I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to have beautiful lashes.
