Family owned and operated usually means a lot of love and care go into ensuring your every need is met. This lovely couple not only took great care of our family heirloom, but took the time to create a perfect fit until it was right. The showroom is full of stunning sparklers for those of you looking for something new and unique outside of the standard bridal bling. Thank you for bringing my grandfathers ring back to life!

This place is THE BEST for all your jewelry needs. My watch became too big for me a while ago they fixed my watch to the perfect fit. Recently my watch was getting a little old & stopped wanting to close, I stopped by & they fixed it to perfection in just a few mins. The owners are this cute sweet couple that are so nice & VERY friendly & helpful! I wouldn’t go anywhere else, they are the best!

I love rings, I lose rings, so I buy more rings, but never anything too pricey. I walked past this haphazard display in a jewelry repair window, and stopped to chat. The former business partner had purchased them, but really didn’t move so he was thinking of selling them on Ebay. I jumped and asked what he would take for the lot and it fit my discretionary budget, so I am the proud owner of many more rings ! Smart business move on his part?

Sophia & Len are wonderful people! 7 yrs ago we came to them to redesign my wedding ring. I had a drawing of my vision & Len made it become a reality! His work is top notch & their customer service is unbelievable! I get my ring cleaned for free, catch up on family history… it’s just great. Today I noticed one of my pavé stones was missing after just having it cleaned yesturday. I went in & they replaced the stone with apologies, at no cost! If you want a great family jeweler, this is the place to go!

I honestly feel bad about giving a mom and pop business a negative review, but: If you do get ANYTHING repaired here, ask for an estimate and of course a receipt for your jewelry. Because the repair seemed so standard and trivial I didn’t wasn’t offered either one. To my dismay I returned to pick up my jewelry and was told it would be $ 300. This charge was over twice what I later paid for an identical repair. Diamond mêlée (2 – 3 pt diamonds) can be bought for $ 25. They charge $ 75 not including the installation, of course. Also, don’t even think once about selling your gold here unless you are masochistic and like being abused by getting. 60 to 70% less than other gold buyers in San Diego are paying every day. Everyone in business is entitled to a fair profit but being greedy is not a good long term business policy. I had to take a shower after I left their store. If you are still tempted to go there because it’s convenient or the couple is «so sweet» at least get a second opinion an estimate before you do.

December 23 and I needed a quick repair on a gift. The owner listened to what I needed and made a suggestion as to the best method of repair. He stopped what he was doing and fixed it while I waited. I was referred by a friend and will definately be back for all of my jewelry needs. Thanks for making my Christmas gift beautiful!

Here is an UPDATE on how terrible and Nasty these people are,…Sophie (the wife) saw me in the parking lot and started accosting me about this review (below), and she actually told me «I will live longer than you» (I am dying of leukemia), what a terrible terrible person. This is my opinion, and as I said initially, I live in Pacific Beach, Ca where we patronize our local businesses, but NOT this terrible business. It is a disgrace and UNPROFESSIONAL and in my opinion (I have an exceptional knowledge of the jewelry business since I had relatives in the business for many years in the midwest and Florida) that I would NOT TRUST these people to sell quality jewelry at fair market prices from what I have seen first hand. I would suggest going to a reputable jeweler and definitely always seeing a GIA report before buying an expensive item such as fine jewelry. I would wager money the reviews below which paint a different picture are fake and done by the company and their personal friends. STAY AWAY DON’T GET RIPPED OFF AND PATRONIZE TERRIBLE EVIL PEOPLE.

Love this place and the couple that works there! So glad I picked to go here to get my jewelry fixed. The service is great and they are so sweet. It is priced very fairly and they are fast and good at what they do!
They even sent me a card in the mail after thanking me for coming in and about things we talked about while I was there. It was so sweet!

I think they are awesome! I came in here on a few separate occasions to buy a pair of earrings and to have rhodium-​plating put onto my engagement ring. The owner really listens to what your price range is and doesn’t try to upsell you something you can’t afford. Also, she cleans my ring for free. I am seriously thinking of having them do my wedding bands. She is so nice and can tell my personality.

My boyfriend recommended I go here to get a bracelet and necklace repaired. The staff was SO nice. service was efficient. I think the price is right. I paid $ 25 to get 2 pieces of jewelry repaired… so far so good ;) they did a beautiful job!!! The service time was a few days which is definitely reasonable. When I went to go pick up my jewelry, I was remembered! A local business that we must support. excellent on all levels! Pretty jewelry as well! Thank you House of Jewels!

This place is great! I had this antique pair of earnings that needed a little fixing. I had taken them to a place in the mall where they quoted me $ 45 for the fix. I thought I would check out House of Jewels next to my local grocery store.
The gentleman who helped me was very sweet. He fixed my earings for $ 10 bucks and was done in 5 mins. I plan on going back and getting some other jewerly fixed.

If you are going to buy or repair fine jewelry go to House of Jewels first! Sofia and her husband, Leon, own and run the business. He is a master jeweler and does fine work! She will tell you honestly about the cost of a repair and what you NEED vs. what you SHOULD have done. Imagine, honesty and integrity in a business these days! While they are great at what they do and forthcoming about the expenses you might undertake, the best thing about House of Jewels is that you can pop in anytime and it feels like you’re stopping at home. They remember your name and your situation. They smile and hug you. It’s wonderful! Thank you Sofia and Leonid for all that you do!

LOVED IT! Found this business on Unilocal and checked it out to have my necklace repaired. Was greeted at the front by Sophie and she looked at my necklace and gave me a price (very reasonable) and said it would be ready in 30 min. When i came back in to get my necklace it was fixed, polished and he even tightened the other side for me. While i was paying Sophie asked me to give her my bracelet and rings and polished those for me for free!!! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Went in for a new watch band. Owner and his wife were very helpful and friendly. While I was there several regular customers came in to the shop to chat. They don’t have a large selection, but really seem like they know their stuff. I would recommend them.

At first this place seemed great. I brought in a very fine white gold chain to have repaired. 10 bucks and an hour later I had it back. I get home, put the pendant on the chain and wouldn’t ya know it, my chain magically grew an extra 3 inches while being repaired. I brought it back and asked if maybe there was a mix up. Perhaps my chain got mixed up with someone elses. OMG! You’d a thought I’d accused them of murder. The man looked at me and actually asked if I thought he added more to it. Awful, crappy customer service.

I needed to have a ring repaired, and it was done on sight, by the owner, Len. He seemed very knowledgeable, as I asked about a watch repair, he knew the history of the brand I mentioned. He was also not a salesman. He gave me a more than reasonable price. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back or recommend him.

I road my bike to the shop and the owner offered me to bring into the shop so I wouldn’t need to lock it up. He repaired my watch for me on the spot, and was very friendly. We even chatted for a little while after he finished. I’ll always go back here when I need any jewelery or repairs

It’s nice to have a neighborhood jeweler you can trust. I’ve been to House of Jewels on two occasions, each when I had something to be repaired. At both times the owners were frank in their assessment of the situation, fine with their repair, and fair with the price.
As Len worked, his wife Sophie developed a rapport with me and I felt very comfortable with the both of them and how they ran their business. Their inventory is beautiful and if I were in the market for some bling their shop would be my first stop.
This store is located in the same shopping center as Von’s in Pacific Beach, just steps away from Tuesday Morning.
