House of Iran

I love to hang around there during Nowruz celebration in March. There are Dancers and food and lots of happy people wishing each other happy new year (happy Nowruz). lots of hugs and kisses from friends and family. Get to see friends i have not seen for about the year. The food and festivity is usually great. DJ and dancing.
Enjoyed looking and admiring the art work.
Then I usually swing by other houses and try their food and learn about other countries culture, food, and art.
Every year I enjoy this festivity.

I am not Iranian but I have my Iranian friends and like to celebrate the Norooz or Persian New Year trying always to understand the meaning of each of those fruits and items they put in those aesthetically pleasant altars. Last Sunday I went with some girlfriends (was their first time as they recently moved to San Diego) and we had a blast at the party, organized by the House of Iran (I guess among other entities alike).
The music was fantastic, family ambiance with people having picnic with their cool Spring time stuff and full of good looking people around. The House of Iran itself is petite as all these little houses and every time that I have been there there has been some very classy lady showing the painting, objects and explaining the history of the Persian empire, as well as talking about current events of their country. I love Persian food, so to me this is one of the favorite spots in Balboa Park in terms of partying inside the park premises and organization.

The best house in all of Balboa park ! Anyone to think different needs help ! The food is amazing especially December nights and any other event house of Iran has. They have the best service, so friendly always smiling ! The food is to die for ! I always take advantage of their events and make sure to purchase their food as well as stick around and enjoy a different culture !

ehh… boring…it was the free house this past tuesday for free museum day… my little girl is fascinated by the little houses. the kids thought it was cool and interesting… me personally… bored. good thing the car museum and aerospace were also free that day… then off to the zoo…
