he is the best, he never rushes and is very attentive to the patient needs. Been a gay person its always a battle to find a doctor catering to our needs and he is perfect for that.

Dr. Holt is easily the best doctor I have ever had (and I have had a lot)! His genuine care and interest for my health shows. He has helped me so much since I’ve moved to San Diego. I don’t know where I’d be without him.

We’re so grateful that we’ve found Dr. Holt. I didn’t know who to go to when we moved down here so I called the main number at Scripps. The lady that scheduled my appointment spent a couple minutes talking to me about the doctors and said that she thought Dr. Holt would be a good fit.
He is very conscientious and doesn’t rush you out. I was there on just a minor need but he did some very thorough diligence to make sure he was treating the right problem. I’m very grateful for that kind of care given the pressures that exist on healthcare corporations.
Since my first visit, my wife has started going to Dr. Holt as well and shares my sentiments. He’s a fantastic doctor!

Seeing Dr. Holt has been an outstanding experience from day one. He is very personable and just makes going to the doctor Not Intimidating or Scary At All. I’ve had bad shoulders for several years from posture, lifting weights & boxing. My previous PCP gave me a cortisone shot, which, as most people know, is a temporary fix. Well, that was never explained to me until I started seeing Dr. Holt. He provided me with several options & ran several tests (MRI & arthrogram) but it was totally worth it b/​c we figured out that I really needed to see an orthopedic specialist. The specialist provided me with even more options & I could not be happier with the overall care & concern I received. Dr. Holt also helped me through my pregnancy (although, of course I had an ObGyn), but I fractured my ankle when I was 6 mos prego & he was so attentive & clarified the importance of x-​ray v. no x-​ray. Lastly, I get sick almost every flu season with a lingering cough or sore throat of some kind, he always brings me in to figure it out. I don’t know how his genius brain works, but I really feel that he takes the time to carefully screen & diagnose. He is also very easy to get in with, I always get appts the same week if I call on Monday or Tues or the very next week if I call Thurs or Fri. I recommend him to everyone I know looking for a PCP!

Amazing… I have no more words to describe my experience with this incredible totally 100% personable, knowledgeable Physician who ACTUALLY LISTENS AND ADRESSES your concerns… go figure right! I felt totally comfortable with him telling him all my stuff LOL, he so cool and laid back and 100 000% non judgmental… awesome awesome awesome!!!

By far, the best doctor I have ever had. He’s comfortable to talk to, is a great listener, takes his time, has genuine concern for my well-​being, and is always available when I need him.

Yep it seems a bit strange to review a doctor on Unilocal but this dude deserves it. I went for many years without health insurance and dodged some major medical bullets but I figured my luck was sure to run out sometime soon and I better be prepared for the unexpected. Still disaster free (knocking on wood) I am very happy to have Dr. Holt in my pocket in case of emergency.
So here’s why…
How do you pick a doctor? Well for me this was simple and speaks volumes for Dr. Holt. One of my best girlfriends is in the business of dealing drugs, legally of course! Ya know, over the counter stuff that has her running around town visiting doc’s offices left and right. When I asked her to narrow down a lofty list of M.D.‘s she said Dr. Holt was my guy. A young feller who ain’t going to go dying on my and he knows his shiz. Very easy to talk to with a welcoming demeanor. He listens and loves to wear argyle sweaters… no joke! Gotta love that!
On a side note the billing and clerical side of things have been a bit dicey at times but nothing that wasn’t easily resolved.
If you are looking for a solid doc in the Hillcrest area, Dr. Holt is your dude. I have sent four friends his way and they would all agree.

Dr. Holt is by far one of the best doctors I have had. I have always had a great experiance going to his office, from the front staff to the nurses. If you are new in town and need a Doctor I would give him a call…619−278−3345

I can’t say enough about how great Dr. Holt is. He is down to earth, genuinely interested in my health, and very knowledgeable. He takes the time to listen. He just diagnosed a problem for me that another doctor missed, and both he and his staff made the situation bearable, and actually fun!
Oswaldo (Ozzie), the Physician’s assistant is talented, kind, sympathetic and easy going. And my stitches look great. Who plays Linkin Park during a procedure to make the patient more relaxed?
