Business Owner

I’m originally from New Jersey and moved to San Diego in 2003 to pursue a Masters in Statistics. After completing my MS, I became an actuary for two and half years. I learned a lot about the insurance risk industry and passed the first 4 actuarial exams. After much debate, I decided that I truly missed education. I made the decision to leave my wonderful company in August of 2008. I was hired as an adjunct faculty member at two local junior colleges and could not be happier with my career change. The adjunct lifestyle allowed for me to pursue my other interest, which was to develop my own private tutoring business. I had been a private tutor for over 10 years and truly enjoy the profession because of the relationship that I develop with my clients and the ability to see their improvement over the time we spent together. I am now enjoying the benefits of owning my own business. This has allowed me to connect some bright, promising individuals with local students in need.
