History

Established in 2007.

Beginning in Colorado in 2001, HiTech Massage Chairs was originally an internet-​only company that sold massage chairs from the most reputable manufacturers. We sold and delivered chairs to every state in the USA. In 2007, HiTech relocated to San Diego, California. In 2009, we decided to begin developing our own massage chair based on our experiences in the industry. The process was long, but in 2012, our efforts paid off and we revealed the original SMC-​6850. This chair fundamentally changed our business model, and we no longer carried chairs from other manufacturers; there was no need to. The SMC-​6850 received critical acclaim from the world’s most prominent massage chair experts, including Dr. Alan Weidner. In September 2014, we released the SMC-​6850 Version 2, which vastly improved on the comfort and functionality of the original chair. We firmly believe it’s the best massage chair in the business.
