I had a cut and color appointment with Tiffany. She did a phenomenal job. I got so many compliments. I even had someone take down Tiffany’s name and salon after they noticed my hair.
I had colored my hair with a dark brown box dye and was able to lift it with a balayage and added a really nice coppery toner on top. Tiffany is super nice and easy to chat with. The salon is super cute too.
I am super happy with the results and cannot recommend her enough. Seriously, go to Tiffany… she’s the best!

Tiffany is an amazing stylist: creative, talented, thoughtful and great personality. I had a keratin treatment and rather dramatic cut done and she did an awesome job. She has a ton of experience doing keratin treatments so you know you’re in good hands. Cannot recommend her enough!

Such a great salon, Naomi is by far one of the best stylist out in the business, she is professional, pays great attention to detail and really listens to what you want.

I love this this salon and I especially love the owner, Saylor! She is so talented and amazing! Although I have been forced into neglecting myself since I’m busy tending to my infant, I dream about the day I can go back and have Saylor bring me back to life. She is a true artist and has mastered her craft. She continues to educate herself and is never afraid to try something new. In fact, she is always wanting to update looks and never leaves her clients bored or disappointed. I know a lot of hairstylists (I am one myself) and I have never met anyone who can cut hair as good as Saylor. She is great at color too. If you need someone you can trust with your hair, Saylor is your gal!

Tiffany did an amazing job on my wash and wear short hair cut — in fact it looks awesome even as bed-​head. She really listened to my needs, lifestyle and worked with my hair rather than making my hair fit the style. I will DEFINITELY be back. So exciting to have found my regular hair stylist

Shannon Finn at Hey Saylor is THE BEST! I followed her over from her last salon and I absolutely adore her. I have short pixie hair and she always gives me an amazing cut and color. I get compliments all the time and regularly give out her card. Also? She is a fantastic person as well. I always look forward to seeing Shannon to get my hair done. Love her!

Go see Jason T. at Hey Saylor. Such an amazing professional with great style and recommendations. He listens to what you want!!! Also offers suggestions if you are up in the air or have no clue what you want.
I have gone to him for about a year now and am so comfortable with my hair in his hands. I’m one of those who’s afraid of losing her luscious locks and length, but I never worry with him. He respects my requests and finds ways to get me what I’m looking for. I’ve gone to him for color, full highlights, partials, cuts, and styles and can tell you I love it all. Ive never had healthier hair after highlights than I’ve had after my visits to Hey Saylor. I bought my dad a cut here for his birthday (he normally only goes anywhere he can get a $ 5 haircut) and he was amazed that a haircut could look so good. He states that it was the best haircut of his life.

The salon is clean and comfortable. Drinks are available as well.

Shannon is even more kick ass since she moved to Hey Saylor. I am so glad to have found a stylist in San Diego that I have complete confidence to deliver great cuts for my hair type, face shape and lifestyle. Since growing my hair out from a pixie cut, Shannon has been able to transform the awkward phases of my thick and plentyful hair into awesomeness. Her short haircuts are AMAZING and although I am growing out my hair to longer lengths, I have confidence she will be able to cut my long hair well also. I have received a lot of compliments on my hair styles I have received from Shannon more than any other stylist I have gone to.
The salon itself is modern, hip and chic. The music they play isn’t overly top-​40s and has a good mix of older and indie stuff. The only thing that I don’t really like about Hey Saylor is where their washbowls are located; it’s not that private and I don’t feel there is a distinct boundary to the washbowl to the rest of the salon.
Parking isn’t too bad as I was anticipating it to be. I’m glad they are open after 6p on most days so I can grab a spot in one of their metered parking closer to the salon. Great looking salon, great atmosphere, stylists and clients. I’m so proud and happy to be a patron of this great salon!

Love Love Love Shannon!!! She is an amazing stylist that is a true artist. She is especially amazing with women’s short hair cuts, but I’m sure she could cut the hell out of my hair if it were long too.

Great staff and friendly service in this one of a kind salon. The design layout is absolutely perfect with each step as organic as the next. Creative, fun, and inviting! Love working with independent local SD businesses like these. :)

This is not a review I want to write. But I’ve been Unilocaling honestly for a long time and sometimes you have to call it like it is.
I made an appointment with Saylor on her online booking website called
. My appointment was for an $ 85 regrowth touch-​up, meaning I wanted my roots re-​colored since it has been 3 months. I scheduled half a week in advance and confirmed the day before and showed up 30 minutes early. I live in Carmel Valley and took the afternoon off work and drove the 20 some miles to Banker’s Hill so Saylor could color my roots… I’d heard such great things about her! When she sat me down in the chair at 4:30pm we chit chatted for a minute and she said looked at my hair, frowned…
and she said, «I think I’m gonna pass».
I was blown away. Then she said she’d have to do the whole bleach process and that she «wouldn’t be having fun».
Well, typically root touch ups mean blonde dye, so what did she expect when I made the appointment? That I’d want my roots to be darker to make for a more «fun» dye job? Did she think she was going to charge me $ 85 so she could have fun?
Then she had the nerve to refer me to someone else at the salon so I could come back another day and have him do the dye job.
Well​.No. I will never set foot inside this salon again. And I will tell all my blonde friends that there is a much better salon called Fox and Jane down the street.

Louanne is THE BEST! She is a miracle worker! We went from dark black to red and I could not have been happier with the end result! She loves what she does and it comes out in her work! I have found my forever stylist in Louanne!
The salon is so nice, the atmosphere is cool and comfortable… they just remodeled it and it looks better then ever!

I LovE this place! Everyone is friendly and down to earth, salon is clean and airy, and of course, I always leave feeling like a better, more beautiful version of myself!

Saylor is one of the most creative and inspired people I know. When you sit down in the chair she wants to know the look you want with your hair and your overall persona. She sees you, your personality & what is right for your look, NOT what her latest thing is or the trend. It’s always custom for you; your vibe. You will have a wonderful experience and always walk away feeling like a million bucks!

I have long, thick hair that I destroy with a blow dryer, curling iron, flat iron, and blonde highlights on a regular basis. After two hours with Louanne, my hair feels brand new and incredibly healthy. She is a miracle work – a hair doctor. But perhaps the best part about Louanne as a hairdresser is that she is seriously knowledgeable about her craft. She explains exactly what she is doing and why, so you know more about your hair. I explained to her the frequency that I wash my hair (read: WAY to much) and she «prescribed» a combination of products to help revitalize my hair and something to help feel like I am cleaning my hair after the gym, without ALWAYS shampooing. It was exactly what I needed!
I trust Louanne 100% in anything she does. I recently made an appointment for my best friend to visit Louanne to get her make-​up done for engagement photos because I knew Louanne would be able to do photo-​worthy make-​up. And she did the most amazing job. She never ceases to amaze me!
Louanne is basically the sweetest person you will ever meet and a trip to Saylor feels like you are hanging out with your girl friends. I was offered a glass of red wine which was exactly what I needed to relax and be pampered after a long day of work!
