Meet the Business Owner
Denise S.
Business Owner
Owner Denise is a native of Atlit, a beautiful seaside city near Haifa in Israel. She holds degrees in literature and counseling education from Haifa University. Denise was a commander in the Israeli army, responsible for the initial training of Bahad 12, a girl’s training camp which prepared the soldiers prior to going to their bases. She first came to the United States on a teacher’s exchange program and has taught in local Jewish day and supplemental schools. She is very passionate about Israel and incorporates her love for her country into the design and feel of the store.
Denise currently lives in Carmel Valley, San Diego with her husband Dan and 4 children Jacob, Ben, Doron, and Netanel. Her husband Dan is a talented computer engineer and is personally involved with every aspect of the business. Teenagers Ben and Jacob actively contribute to the website and work in the store. Denise is very proud of her husband all her boys for their help with Hatikva.
