H&R Block

SERIOUSLY!!! For such a LARGE company, they should definitely hire people who speak decent English. From the gecko, I had a hard time scheduling an appointment because the lady was hard to comprehend. I get there after scheduling an appointment (which took 10 minutes). I got there, the lady who did my taxes ALSO did not speak English fluently and kept on having to ask her co-​workers about certain forms that I had (first time home buyer, etc). I gave her my 2 w2’s and the first one she processed with no problem. The second one was where the issue arose. She said the employer ID was not valid — even though it came DIRECTLY from Wells Fargo payroll. So I logged onto Wells Fargo payroll and resent the w2 to the lady at HR Block. She printed it out and had what seemed like a supervisor enter it in. Wow that was a big mistake. She was unable to process it and started yelling at me to get out stating that this was not a real w2 and I could not do my taxes here. She then threatened me, to which I WAS NOT going to tolerate considering BOTH my w2’s came directly from Wells Fargo payroll. I went to a private company, and he had no issues and I received my refund within 4 days. I will NEVER do my taxes here again. America is losing «billions «because HR Block hires people who aren’t capable of speaking English nor preparing taxes.

I have been with H&R Block for many years now. I have strayed from them with other deals and offers from other tax prep companies but they just ended up costing me money. H&R Block redid their work and got me an actual refund.
It’s like when you break up with your girlfriend then realize how good she really was, luckily H&R Block took me back with open arms and got me back my money!
I’ve been with them when i had a simple return, a rental property and thru a short sale, they were knowledgeable and helpful in all the different financial situations I’ve been thru and always got me the most out of my return.
The good thing about H&R Block is they are LEGIT, they don’t get «creative» and write things off that shouldn’t be, they are honest and they know the laws well and stick to them. To top it off their software has a set of double checks, so if something isn’t right, it will warn them and tell them which area they need to go back and look at.
Best of all they offer a $ 35 peace of mind guarantee, if you get audited, you don’t have to take any phone calls, appear in court, nothin’ they handle it. I haven’t had to do that one yet, hopefully never will. If you have a simple return then its probably not a good investment but if yours is as complex as mine then its a great idea. Heck i have no idea how to do my taxes, and i don’t want to appear in court having to answer questions that i have no clue about.
Tip: They have different levels of tax professionals depending on the difficulty of your return, if you have more things to report than just your W2 and interest from savings, let them know what you have and they can get you to someone who is more capable.
If you are filing an EZ form (W2 and standard deductions) They will do it for free if you get it done before Feb 15^th.
My theory, if you’re gonna get your taxes done, best to put your trust in a Fortune 500 company.
