Once upon a time, I thought Taco Bell was Mexican food. Fast forward, I am living in San Diego, and experiencing Mexican, and I am impressed I tried Gualberto’s for the first time about a year ago, and since then, I have been in love with their Polo Asado burrito, and their California burrito. But the achievement is the fact that my hard to please, choosy wife loves the food there. I will check out the Carne Asada fries today.

I use to love this spot for their carne asada fries. Well I don’t know if they have a new cook or what but the fries are greasy and hard. Not all of them but it’s just not as good as it was when I use to go there all the time. There are some meat that’s hard as a rock as well. With all the messed up meat and french fries put together the portion of the food isn’t as big. I’m not a happy customer but lets just hope it get better.

So rent was due and i had to drive my sick little momma in the kendrick lamar van to go pay it. Next door to where the trap house was at, there was a taco shop and i decided to check if they had a veggie burrito since animals are friends and not food. So young lady cashier greeted me nicely and i shot the question, heres where it gets real. their veggie burrito comes with beans, rice, pico de gallo, cheese, sour cream and even that guac! All for a low price of about 5 $ with some change. Other taco shops would charge up to 8 – 9 $ just to get a burrito with those extras, to top it off, they packed that bad boy generously, thing was huge and tasted great. Awesome service from the lady cashier and awesome food.

Don’t understand why this place has 4 stars. Food was bland and just meh. Won’t be back, do yourself a favor and go to a different taco shop if you want flavor.

Hands down my favorite taco shop around! They are friendly and always get the order right. Most of the time my family calls in the order on the phone so accuracy is important. They offer delicious food and good portion sizes for a very reasonable price. Definitely my go to spot!

I love Alanberto’s but my friend hates it there so he brought me down the street to Gualberto’s instead. This is the last time I allow him to talk me into trying somewhere other than Alanberto’s if i’m in the area. Just not good food. The service was fine but the food was bland and greasy. I was disappointed I wasted a burrito trip going here. My craving wasn’t satisfied, unfortunately my calorie count was.

I would usually rate this place a 5 stars, but today was unacceptable. I picked up my order and also asked for a side of cheese. The female cashier took money and gave my change back, then went to the back took my food(to this point I didn’t see her wash her hands) then took out the cheese and with her hand she was handling the cheese.

I always get the caldo de res here. They never cheat on the big chunks of meat & always give me corn, which I love. For $ 8 it’s not that bad but its almost close to homemade. I’ve tried other caldo from other taco shops but not as good as this one from here. They always include the red pepper flakes for me when they see that its me who ordered the soup :) I’ve had the rolled tacos as well which are pretty good. Sweet people who work here. They also have a quarter machine game thing here if you wanna play while waiting for your food. I always call in my order & its ready in about 15 mins.

I ordered a california burrito and a bean and cheese burrito. The cali was cold with unmelted cheese. I had to ask for french fries instead of potatoes. The contents weren’t mixed at all. The beans had a great taste. The bean and cheese burrito was very good. Although it had a slight burnt taste. The rojo sauce was very toasty. The verde sauce was the hotter one. It had some unique flavors in it.

I’m usually not a taco shop fan, they mostly serve food that is way too greasy, salty and covered in cheese and sour cream. This place is not the case. Their Carne asada is amazing! Not too salty and had great flavor. Their caldo de res is even better! It looks like something momma would make. So full of flavor and not greasy at all! The few times I’ve come I’ve always encountered friendly staff, good prices and a clean place. Try this place out you won’t regret it!

It’s our go-to place on days we just crave Mexican food! Cheap, conveniently located less than 5 minutes away from home, and really awesome food! We usually order bean and cheese burrito, 12 rolled tacos, and carne asada torta. Very good! Not the best of the best, but it hits the spot. Plus the staff is always friendly.

This place is in walking distance from my work so I go here all the time. The VERY negative aspect of this place was that I got food poisoning here twice. Yes. you may think that I would never go here again. but I did a 3rd time. I only order the«Caldo de res» and the«Menudo» on the weekends because they serve it REALLYREALLY hot which could possibly kill any bacteria in the soup. I would have given this place 2 stars but the owner and the employees are very very friendly that makes me keep coming back for the soups.

Small solid taco shop. If your looking for a traditional Mexican food place with good food and cheap prices this is a good place. Stuffed in a very busy mall, wedged in between home town buffet and marshals. Small hallway place, few plastic picnic tables, normal traditional menu. Got a carne asada burrito 5 bucks. Good sized burrito, filling.( )They have two salsas, hot green very watery and a deep red earthy salsa with a little charred taste, good salsa, not to hot. If your not in the mood for burrito, they have«the big plate deal«. You get a beef taco 2 rolled tacos and tostada for $ 4.30, not bad. If your in the area and need a burrito fix a good place to grab a big cheap burrito.

The people here are soooo nice! They give you a ton of food with a smile. I got 2 fish tacos, rice and beans. Fish tacos were ok, not the best, but big and packed with veg and large piece of fish. Rice and beans were tasty. I’ll go again and try something different. Good for take-out, but there’s also 4 tables if you gotta eat in.
