Specialties
Renowned as San Diego’s original power spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Grant Grill is the city’s ultimate choice for unparalleled cuisine and sumptuous surroundings. The seasonal menu served on sophisticated cream linens is created by Chef de Cuisine Chris Kurth and Executive Chef Mark Kropczynski, who work to incorporate the best California produce, fresh Pacific seafood, sustainable meats and poultry, and fresh herbs into their offerings. Start off the day with farm-fresh eggs, homemade pastries, or French Vanilla Brioche toast. For lunch or dinner – in addition to elaborate tasting menus – the offerings include signature dishes like Jumbo Diver Scallops, Grant Grill Mock Turtle Soup, or Dry Aged Prime Rib Eye with Chanterelle Mushrooms. In perfect pairing, certified Sommelier and expert Mixologist Jeff Josenhans completes the menu with an award winning, regional wine list and hand-crafted, seasonal cocktails with house-infused liquors and farm-to-glass ingredients.
History
Established in 1951.
The Grant Grill became the signature restaurant of THE US GRANT in 1951, joining the US Grant Coffeshop, Rendezvous Café and La Cantina Restaurant. Quickly establishing itself as one of San Diego’s premier dining rooms, The Grant Grill became famous as the home of downtown’s movers and shakers, the room where deals were done.
