Girl on the Go! offers a personal, one-​on-​one experience in a relaxed, quiet setting. Our unique business hours allow anyone — no matter how hectic your schedule — to unwind, refresh, and get pampered.

We are results-​oriented, focusing on using products with the highest level of active ingredients to help our clients reach their goals quickly and effortlessly. We use Ilike Organic, Epicuren, Yonka, and Lucrece product lines exclusively for all of our skin and body treatments. We use Zoya polish for our natural nail services which is free of toluene, formaldehyde, phthalates, and camphor, as well as high-​quality, formaldehyde-​free CND Shellac.

Established in 2010.

Lead esthetician, Dana Gray, opened Girl on the Go! with the unique idea of offering high quality, affordable skincare services during evening hours for busy, working professionals. The business quickly caught on, and over the years Girl on the Go! has grown to become a full-​service spa offering services to target whole body wellness and relaxation, including massage, manicures, pedicures, event make-​up, airbrush tanning, waxing, tinting, eyelash extensions, and of course, Dana’s amazing skincare treatments.

This was my first time ever having a facial. WOW. Not what I expected. It was so relaxing and I think I might even prefer it to a body massage. This place is super cute and everything feels so personal. Enjoyed every moment. Try it! Plus there’s a coffee shop across the street for after! Yas!

This place is super nice! The atmosphere is very clean, quiet and relaxed. They have lovely purple décor and comfortable seats, nice looking equipment, and very friendly staff. However, while it’s amazing that they carry nontoxic nail polish, I do wish they had just a few more color options. Other than that, I’m very pleased with this place and will definitely be coming back!

I came in to get a Green Goddess facial with Dana, and it was AMAZING! Hands down best facial I’ve ever had. Dana was really nice — we chatted the whole time, and every now and then, she’d check in to see how I was doing with everything. I left with my skin feeling and looking wonderful, and feeling overall relaxed and rejuvenated. I had such a great experience that Girl on the Go! will be the only place I’ll be going to for my facials from now on. I’d also love to try their shellac mani in the near future as well. Thanks, Dana for the great experience!

As a first time customer, I loved it. It’s so hard to look for a good nail tech and Jessica was awesome. I was trying to look for a close by nail shop by my work, though it was hidden, it sure was a hidden gem.
First of, the ambience was great. It felt as if it was a home service mani pedi. Jessica was awesome they definitely made me feel at home.

I had a 90 minute massage with Tim today. He way absolutely amazing! I’ve never felt more comfortable and relaxed in a massage. Plus, I normally feel like my massages are not really deep tissue even when I ask for them. Tim, on the other hand, used the perfect pressure the ENTIRE time. I live in Hillcrest and pass at least 6 other massage places to come here. I am definitely going to continue coming to Girl on the Go; it’s worth the drive and the price. Ask for Tim, you will not be disappointed!

Five stars for Tim who was warm, welcoming and provided a great massage.
One star for the spa’s cancellation policy. My babysitter unexpectedly cancelled on me and I called the spa to see about rescheduling. They were booked for the day. I said I’d be available to come in any day that week. Regardless of my willingness to reschedule, they still charged half of the service price for cancelling. There was no flexibility in this. So I just paid $ 40 to cancel. And they lost my business forever. Bad move.
There are a lot of other quality massage places with better customer service. And better prices for that matter. Consider looking elsewhere.

Second time here & I got a much needed 60 min massage last night by Lindsey.
Oh…my …God… She was amazing!!! Really nice & friendly person, great communicator during massage, I felt really comfortable with her… DEF going back to get massaged by her.
I asked her to focus on my back, which needed a lot of work, and felt great afterwards. Thank you for giving me another great experience at girl in the go spa!!!

This is literally the only place I will go to get my nails done. All the girls there are awesome (Shaina– no longer there, Nicole, and both Jessica’s)! Massages with Steven are great, too. Next on my list is to try out a facial with Dana! So excited. I don’t know what I would do without this place.

Where does one even start with the wonderfulness that is this place? I’ve been coming here for almost 2 years. I can’t believe I haven’t yet written a review. I am almost hesitant to rave about it because I want to keep it a secret! But Dana (owner) and her staff all deserve the highest of praises. So here we go.
Let’s start with the basics. It’s in a good location, easy to get to, and even though only street parking is available, I’ve never had too much trouble finding a spot to park. It is so easy to book any appointment online. Who doesn’t love that? And the prices are on point — for example, you pay $ 70 for an hour massage. But unlike many other spas, you ACTUALLY get an hour. It’s not 50 minutes with a 10 minute buffer.
I’ve had mani/​pedis, waxing, spray tans and massages here. Dana is an expert waxer — and I’m talking the whole kit-​and-​caboodle. I’ve had the best of waxing experiences, and the worst, and Dana is one of the best. My friends tell me she gives fabulous facials as well, though I haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing them myself.
The mani/​pedis are awesome. Great products, great technicians, nice clean smell.
But. The massages. Yes. Stephen is the best massage therapist I’ve ever encountered and I’ve encountered many. He is professional, knowledgable, thorough, and just overall an expert in his field. He is becoming more and more popular so it can be hard to get in with him, but he is worth the wait. I’ve heard good things about the new massage therapist Tim as well. Dana takes pride in who she hires so I don’t imagine you getting a bad experience with anyone.
This place is also for men and women — my husband has enjoyed coming here too — so if you’re looking for a spa, come. You won’t be disappointed. Guaranteed.

I stopped in for the first time for a manicure and pedicure. Beautiful, clean salon. Very friendly and professional staff. My biggest rave is my manicure. I mean, I am 100% pleased with both the manicure and pedicure; however, I think that this is the first natural nail manicure that I have had that the polish has lasted this long. No chipping! I am a nurse so I wash my hands all the time, polish is still intact after almost a week! Thanks Girl on the Go! I’ll definitely be back for more manis and pedis and definitely to try your other services.

Steven is one of the best massage therapists I’ve ever had. His massages are astounding!
He really helps with releasing tension and pain that has been built up for years.
The staff is wonderful and the environment is inviting and relaxing. I just scheduled my third massage for next week and will have completed three massages in less than two months! Which is not something I would normally do… But so worth it!

Finally getting around to writing a amazing review for this place! :) I’ve been coming here for 2−3yrs I think. I lost count already. I initially came because I bought a Groupon for a mani/​pedi and decided to book a massage while I was there. I have mostly come for massage due to a lot of health issues with my body and because Steven is such an amazing massage therapist!!! I usually get my nails done by Nicole, but everyone here is amazing!!! I hope to be able to try other services as well eventually.

Girl on the Go! is one of the best spas I have ever been to in my life!!!
I’ve been seeing Dana for 3 years now for facials and my skin has transformed with her help! I used to have really bad, acne prone skin with really painful under the skin acne. With Dana’s help, her organic skincare and microdermabrasion, I have had much clearer, brighter and softer skin. She has caused my skin to completely regenerate. Everyone tells me that they can see the difference in my skin from years past! I couldn’t be happier with how my skin feels!!!
I also can’t say enough amazing things about how I feel when I’m in Girl on the Go! It’s such a great zen type of spa, super comfortable and beautifully decorated. With all the services provided, there’s something for everyone! There are also really cute, local gifts like jewelry and candles that I’ve given as great presents!
If you’re looking for an amazing spa experience, and in general need clearer skin, definitely go see Dana!!!

I love Golden Hill. And I love this place! Not only is the owner super dialed in with organic skincare products, but the place stays open late to accommodate folks like myself to leave work at 6pm on a good day.
The design is clean and modern, & you can walk over for food & drinks at Counterpoint after your service, since it’s in the same Foundation for Form building!

Updating this review to 3 stars because during my last visit I received a facial by Dana which seemed to be okay minus the pain from the «extractions» she did. I ended up leaving with my face red an tingly which I thought normal. But later, found it was visibly scarred all-​over as if scratched by a cat. Not okay. I don’t know if there was an unfamiliarity with African-​American skin or what, but if my skin was fairer it would have looked even worse so… I don’t know.
I honestly am not even sure what was being extracted. I trusted her though, being licensed and all, but I didn’t have any visible acne going in.
It’s a bummer because It was only my second facial ever and I really do enjoy their massages. After reading the reviews and viewing a mani/​pedi session while waiting for my massage appointment, I think I’ll just stick with massages from here. Still on the hunt for a one-​stop shop that works for me.
Facials are supposed to make your skin feel better and you feel more beautiful. Not the case here. I had to recover with Neosporin and cocoa butter.
