GEICO claim department

Geico’s Claims Department is absolutely horrible; their adjusters don’t want to pay out any claims so they do their best to do absolutely NO INVESTIGATION.
I was hit by one of their insureds thus prompting me to file a claim; their insured gave me all their information, all their evidence of insurance, the driver was an 18 year old driving with a permit, he reversed into my car as we were waiting in line at a Mexican drive through. The driver claimed that he never saw me, and that it was an accident, never did I claim fault, my fiancé video taped the driver admitting fault over and over again.
The next couple of days were horrible, the Geico claims adjuster Jennifer K, was so rude, so mean and wanted to pin this down on me. She asked me questions that didn’t have anything to do with the claim that I was filing now, I told her I had videos and pictures from the accident, and she blew them off. I knew from then on, in her mind she thought that I was the guilty party. Their insured claimed that I hit him while I was parked, and since there were no other witnesses other then our passengers they believed I was at fault. Not once did Jennifer come to investigate the damage, or check out the videos and pictures, she was set in her mind, that her insured was right. I was furious her tone was so degrading; she told me that she has to believe her insured since they were insured with them. I am entitled to a FAIR and FAST Claim, it sure was fast, but it was not at all fair.
I spoke to a supervisor Heidi M., but she was just as rude to me as her associate. I guess if you aren’t insured with Geico and their insured hits you, than be ware they will find you at fault.
Their service is absolutely horrible, I work for insurance as well and to be treated like this, I was absolutely shocked.
I would give them 0 Stars but I can’t.

5 stars goes to Alfredo he helped me and took care of me and was very prompt. He made sure to call the other insurance company and make sure that everything was all set and I didn’t have to call or organize anything, he did it all for me.

I have had my coverage with Geico for several years, but this is the first ever claim to them. There was a fellow in a large Ford Ranger that backed into me and damaged the passenger front fender panel. Couldn’t open the passenger door more than a few inches. So my first ever experience with Geico??? Fantastic! They walked me through the process, explained how they would handle it and what my options were (I did carry Collision coverage) and just about took care of everything except driving my car to Fix Auto, Oceanside for the repairs and had a rental car waiting for me.
State Farm has refused to pay my deductible but it’s going to arbitration at Geico’s request. My car looks great and I had it back within a week.

I don’t understand how GEICO can keep their rates so low when they are known for finding against their own insureds, even when they are not at fault.
My daughter was hit by a drunk driver going almost twice the posted speed limit. Without reviewing the police report, any pictures and two witness statements, GEICO found my daughter at fault solely because the other driver did not have a stop sign. Under CA law, after stopping at a stop sign, my daughter entered the intersection first and was required to slow down and yield the right of way. Of course he couldn’t because he was drunk and speeding. Although he was hauled off to jail for driving drunk, our own insurance company faulted my daughter. They have a lot of nerve calling it an «investigation.»
I agree with others that you should pay more and find an insurance company that will actually stand by you when you need it.

For me at least, they’re cheap and some of the ads are cute. But you often get what you pay for, and this outfit is no exception.
My best advice is to find a good repair shop and let the people there deal with GEICO.
