Fuller’s Keg Beer Liquor & Deli

This could possibly be the worst area in all of San Diego. I went there with my friend to buy a bottle of wine on Christmas and as a 28 year old woman I have never felt so scared. All of the homeless and addicts were out and in this store. I suddenly realized I made a huge mistake. After the cashier creepily hit on me and said I should stay there (no thank you sir) and drink my wine with him, I proceeded outside where a mass of thugs were (who had just cornered my friend inside the store) they were being extremely intimidating and I’m pretty sure trying to separate us from each other to do God knows what. I know if either of us had been alone in this scenario something way worse could have happened.
If you are a female, for your own safety, I urge you to stay far far away from this place

Called the day before my event, they had the kegs and equipment I needed. Setup was fully explained — including things to watch for during hook-​up. All of the equipment worked flawlessly — the entire experience was first rate! Highly recommended.

Great Keg Selection and competitive prices! Not to mention they carry a massive amount of liquor.
Conveniently located next to the freeway. I will definitely come back.

Defenitely not in a good area. Point Loma in general is a little sketchy, but this liqour store is right next to the Trolley Station in Old Town, and we felt very uncomfortable both picking up and dropping off our keg. Prices were okay… but they did have a large selection of beers– just never got over the sketchy aspect. Probably would go somewhere else for a basic keg

NEVER GO HERE!!! Previously I had gone here and ordered a keg which they delivered and was ok, except for the price. About 2 weeks ago I called them up to order the same keg for a Labor Day party — I had to hang up because the guy I talked to did not understand English very well. Ok, so I just went there to order in person. The first guy I talked to must have been the same guy I talked to on the phone and did not understand English very well. So I talked to the person who I think is the manager or the owner and he understood what I wanted. He had me write out the size of the keg I wanted (pony), what kind of beer I wanted (Scrimshaw), my address, phone number and date and time I needed it delivered. I walked away thinking it was all set. The day it was supposed to be delivered, I call them up and they have no record of it and made it sound like it was my fault. This is some of the poorest customer service I have ever experienced. These guys need to get their act together.

Called keg guys in a pinch needing a Euro tap and jockey box for an event where I work. No issues, they just arranged for everything to be ready for pick up on Saturday morning. I didn’t do much shopping while I was there but they seem to have a good selection for a liquor store. They have a lot of options when it comes to kegs. The store is clean inside and the staff are helpful and efficient. I was in and out without any problems. Guess what, they can’t really do anything about the homeless people lurking around outside. If you don’t like it, stay away from Rosecrans.

Bought some late night munchies while staying at Padre Trail Inn. Watch out for homeless dudes hanging outside.

Surprisingly this is a pretty big liquor store with quite a selection of liquor. Also serves as a mini mart with decent selection of coffee, and they have Starbucks canned coffee as well. Snacks are also plentiful here.

Rude staff. Watch out for the charges they don’t tell you about and ask in advance about delivery pricing. Ask a lot of questions.
Ordered a keg for my birthday party. The credit card was charged for the deposit and the keg plus CO2 pump pacakge and delivery of $ 55 that they haven’t told me about on the phone. When I asked about the charges, the guy didn’t itemize the receipt and angrily grabbed a brown bag and started asking what I ordered. When I returned the equipment, the refund for the equipment was not put back on my card because their machine was offline which I only noticed on the receipt the next day.
The place smells like crap and the attitude is awful. Will never go back there or order anything from there ever again. What a waste!

went there to get my co2 filled the clown didn’t know what to do I think they only filled it up half way and charged me 22.50 most places charge 18 to fill it full the clowns working there were very rude.

Keg Guys provided everything I needed for our new years party from a wide assorted of wines to a Large selection of local brews. I even got all my spirits and snacks to keep the party going.
Thanks guys for all your help in answering all my questions and going out of your way.

Attended a convention at the Hyatt downtown. We needed to get a few kegs each day to provide refreshments for thirsty people stopping by our booth. These guys delivered and then some! Their customer service was outstanding. They showed up on time. Delivered what was promised. Set it up for us. And after a misunderstanding with the hotel even came back out to «re-​deliver» the kegs for us directly to the catering manager.
An absolute pleasure to work with the entire team here. Thank you again for your excellent service. I will be using you for all of my beverage needs anytime I’m in San Diego.

Excellent beer selection… haven’t seen much else quite like it. Customer service is good enough — no complaints there. Prices are very reasonable. If you are a microbrew fan, this place is definitely worth a stop.

Don’t be put off by the sketchy neighbors (flop house hotel, etc); this place will put a smile on any beer lover’s face. Large selection of Belgian bottles and domestics. Seems like a good selection of liquor and wine as well, though not that much wine compared to Bevmo (although their beer choices blow away most Bevmos). Haven’t purchased a keg here, but this would be my first choice for my next party.

Honestly if I could give 0 stars I would. Like others have said… beer selection is great… but customer service = HORRRIBBBLLLEEE!!! We used them for our wedding and I could not believe how RUDE the workers were. First off all we paid extra to have the kegs, ice, cups, and equipment delivered. When they arrived (late) my mother was helping me get into my wedding dress (this was a very special moment for both of us and I wanted a couple pictures) the man delivering was SO RUDE to my relatives who were telling him where to set the kegs. He said if my mom did not come out right then he would leave (with the kegs) that forced my mom to leave me and go sign off on the stupid things. Not to mention he forgot some of the items we had already paid for and was a total jerk when we asked him where they were. Once that was done, the guy demanded we bring him pitchers of water… let’s just remind everyone we were paying him to deliver and set up… not paying him to have OUR GUESTS deliver water to HIM. He was so rude and disrespectful. The next day when I returned the stuff he once again was a total A$$ and was extremely rude.
Bottom line… they might be good for picking up your own kegs… but whatever you do… DO NOT count on them for any special events… they get a big F for customer service!!!

My opinion, best beer selection in my area. Went looking for a specific beer and spent an hour talking with Martin about sours and local events. He is educated and a good source for any beer questions.
Stop by, say hi to all the guys and check out the beer on the shelves. Also ask if anything is not on the shelves yet.

I think I was a bit too hard on these guys in my previous review. They really do have a great selection of booze and their keg service is pretty good as well.
That being said, I still do not like the vagrant’s hitting me up for cash as I come and go. The vagrant’s are crafty because they do so when the store employee’s are not looking out for them.

San Diego’s best kept secret for kegs of beer, these guys are open late and have access to just about any beer, and all 1 day away. Take a look at their website, choose the beer you want and pick it up the next day, its that easy. Good craft beer selection!

Possibly best beer selection in SD. The amount of micro brews in here is fantastic. The best part is that a lot of the local breweries have a strong representation here in the store. And they also have Maui Coconut Porter which is awesomeness in a can!
