Fresh and Fit Meals

Good quality meals, but one isn’t enough to fill me up (I’m a small Asian girl).
Very tasty!
It would’ve been cool if the meals were ready to be picked up on a Sunday afternoon so that I can have food for lunch on Monday.
The meals were good to go til the end of the week even without freezing.

I am a local trainer and use healthy food services to improve the results of my clients.
Fred and Fit Meals helps me change the unhealthy eating habits of my clients through correct portion size and letting them see what a balanced meal looks like.
They by far have the best selection of meals and a quality product.
None of my clients have come to me with issues or complaints about the food.
Some have wanted larger portion size however it is my job to educate them on what a meal should look like. The meals are accurately measured and what we should be consuming for a meal, not the gigantic portions that have been pushed on us over time.
Customer service is on par and they were even willing to offer my clients a small discount.
It has been a pleasure working with them and I hope to continue to do so in the future for the healthy and lifestyle improvement of my clients.

UPDATE: Matt called me immediately following my review and insisted on correcting the issue. He took ownership of the mistake within the business. I admire any business who is willing to admit their fault instead of blaming the customer. There are not many businesses who genuinely care about their customer’s satisfaction. Food has been received and it did not disappoint!
This review is solely on the inconsistency and lack of communication in this company. I wish I could review the food however two «miscommunications» caused two cancelled and refunded orders. I wish I had gone grocery shopping but I didn’t because I was trying to utilize this very convenient service. The first time I ordered I was told the meals would be delivered instead of pick up and that didn’t happen so I had to cancel my order. As soon as I got the refund, I placed my new order for the next week with delivery got the confirmation order number only to find no food at my doorstep. I call to inquire and I was told I canceled my order. Which quickly turned into sorry ma’am I see you did place an order, let me see if we have the inventory to accommodate your order. No surprise, they didn’t and wanted to give me meals that I didn’t order so I declined. Beyond disappointed with the service although it’s a cool concept it isn’t executed very well. Now, I have to figure out what to eat because I didn’t go grocery shopping since I thought I’d have food.

I’ve been using Fresh and Fit for nearly two years. Finding myself busier than ever these days, I can’t imagine my life without meal delivery. I realistically have an additional 1 – 2 hours in my day as I no longer have to do grocery shopping, prep, cooking, and clean up.
The customer service has been amazing and quick to respond.

I’ve been using this service for about a month now and I am very happy with the food and the service. Like another reviewer here, I’m a full — time mom. I’m a single, full — time mom. Time is hardly ever on my side. With timely service, delicious food, and well priced plans, F&F makes my life and my health, happy and healthy. I love the various choices of food, meal plans, and pick — up locations.
I did have an incident where my food was sent elsewhere. The Office Manager instead, offered me different meals to pick from — at no extra charge. The following week I received an email saying that I am being provided 2 extra meals for the mishap. That’s pretty amazing customer service! I wasn’t expecting such kind service. The Office Manager and another gentleman truly, truly, apologized, were honest and explained what happened, and explained what I am getting to correct the issue.
I highly recommend this service. They definitely help if you are a single parent, the pricing is well within a decent range, the service is like Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s service, and even my daughter is enjoying the food. It’s a win, win!

I had about 90 meals with Fresh and Fit so I guess I you could say I am quite familiar with them.
Before I begin I would say that everyone here I’ve ever talked to has been polite, professional, and prompt. I have no issues with the service.
I bought a package deal for 700 that included I believe 90 meals. The macros were measured accurately and they got my weekly order right.
3 stars is just for the taste of the food. I was using this as my main source of nutrition and I understand that by being healthy you sacrifice some flavor however I found myself unable to finish some of the meals sometimes. Sometimes it was dry and I feel that the portion sizes are just under what you would expect at this price range.

So far, we’ve tried six of their meals out of the ten we ordered and they’re all excellent, filling, and nicely spiced. We stayed away from the beef dishes (because that had been mentioned in some reviews) but everything we ordered has been perfect. A huge fan so far!!!

I would give them five stars, but I found the portions a little small in my opinion, perhaps I eat more than the average person, though. However, the delivery was on time and the food tasted fresh and good (better than when I cook, ha!).
Very friendly staff and great variety!
Definitely recommend it, just keep in mind that portions may be smaller than you think (but I did get full enough).

UPDATE: I have added a star for great customer service. Like others have said, the management of this company are a pleasure to work with and were very accommodating in making sure that I was fairly compensated for my dissatisfaction with some of the meals.

I am only on my fourth meal from this place, but so far, I have to give this company three stars. I am not intending to offend, but the food is just quite disappointing. I am a major health nut and a foodie with a long history of personally prepping my meals for my weekly fitness regimen. I only mention this because I don’t want there to be a false assumption that I simply do not like healthy food; in fact, it’s just about all that I eat. With that being said, this prep service could use an overhaul in the kitchen.
First, I’d like to note that this is an amazing concept and would save me a TON of my precious personal time, if only the food lived up to the expectations. The company earns 3 stars for convenience, variety and price. For my first order, I took a leap of faith (based on the promising info, in regards to meals) and ordered the 21 meals per week option; now, I am regretting that quite a bit. As others have mentioned, the food tends to be overcooked and dry (so far, gingery beef and broccoli in particular). I also feel like the beef is cheap, but that could possibly be attributed to the prep technique/​cooking. I know that bulk meal prep can get overwhelming, but this service would greatly benefit from some more culinary TLC and creativity, in regards to the recipes.
In conclusion, I am saddened by the quality of the meals. Truthfully, I do not understand how so many other reviewers do not seem to feel the same way. I suppose that the foodie in me has developed a more refined taste palette.

Game changer! This actually saves me money since time is money. I save both time and money and feel like it’s Christmas every Sunday when the food arrives! My neighbors are jealous. :)

The fresh and fit meals have been very convenient for me. They deliver a whole pack of meals straight to my door on Sundays. The meals are healthy, fresh, and tasty. It makes very easy for busy people to eat healthy without having to shop or cook. I highly recommend this company.

Matt was extremely helpful and accommodating when I screwed up my order! The meals were for my diabetic, elderly father. He went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure I was able to get the meals that would work for my dad.
I normally don’t get out of work until 5pm but Matt was nice enough to wait for me until I got there even though the business closes at 5pm.
I have intermittently ordered meals for a couple years now and the quality never disappoints! Not only is it convenient but nothing is better than eating healthy prepared meals that are full of flavor!

I thinking about a health change in my lifestyle, I work long hours and I have been searching for an easy option to fit my busy lifestyle. Almost every prepared meal turns to be full of macro nutrients which are not good for your body. so Bleh and Bleh and bleh and
Bleh! I wanted to know my food is local, in season, and organic!!! and knowing how many calories I’m ingesting (these meals are portion controlled). For me, the thing that set this company apart from the rest was the knowledge of the food! These guys really have a passion for delivering healthy and VERY delicious food. I recommend this place and YES thanks For Mathew who introduce me to this food at my mechanic shop.

I love the idea of this service, but, unfortunately, the product just fell short of my expectations.
I utilized this service for three weeks, really trying to enjoy the food, but in the end, I just couldn’t. First, everyone I ever spoke with at this company was very polite and professional. Delivery was always well packaged, and if I was not at home during the delivery time, I received a phone call to let me know they were dropping the food off at my front door. Super convenient, which is important to me, as I am constantly on the go.
However, I just did not find the food itself enjoyable. I tried one of the salads the first week and could not finish it, it was so tasteless.
Across the three weeks I ordered my meals, the chicken was always very dry and fairly flavorless. The meals with steak were slightly better, though that isn’t saying much.
So, if you want a super convenient meal delivery service and don’t mind bland food, then this would be a great option. I wish the food had been better, because the people working for this company are great and the service really is a great option for those that are too busy in the week to really want to spend the extra time it takes to prepare meals every day and bring to work with them.

Fresh and fit saves me tons of time not having to worry about prepping my meals on Sunday night. That alone is worth every penny!
The variety that they offer is like no other.
My ultimate favorites are:
Blackened Chicken with the delicious Butternut squash is filled with so much flavor and never dry.
The Thai Beef Satay with the almond sauce is must try on those high protein days. You always feel satisfied.
This company definitely goes above and beyond.
What I love most, is there is a La Costa pick up location. Since I live in Leucadia this makes it extremely convenient!

Matt just came and dropped off an entire week worth of meals at my residence in Mission Valley after working since 4 a. m he took the time even give me two cooling bags with ice packs in them at no additional cost. The food looks great, he even gave me a free breakfast item ! I am definitely satisfied and coming back for more meals when i return from my Vacation. Thank you Fresh and Fit Meals

I have been using Fresh and Fit meals for a little over a month now and the results are insane! Not only have I seen results in my body but I am so much more relaxed and stress free. I save so much time and money while becoming fit and healthy! I am so blessed to have found such an amazing local food prep company! The quality of the food is extraordinary. Even at the end of the week the food tastes fresh and gourmet. The menu is expansive and I haven’t found a dish that I did not love. I have been a customer for a few months now and already this business has made a major impact on my lifestyle! I’m a medical professional (ICU nurse) that works 12hr shifts. Finding time to meal prep and eat healthy and delicious has had it’s challenges! I still love to cook for myself and others, however having Fresh and Fit meals ready has helped me make better choices on the fly. I have the 10 meal plan and I find it works out perfect for me! On days that I work I will bring 2 – 3 meals with me. This has really kept me on track and kept me away from the cafeteria at work (a.k.a. fast food!!). I love that the nutritional facts are posted on their website. I like to track my intake and this is helps me do just that!
Ok so about the food: They have a variety of selections to choose from on their menu. I do tend to choose the same meals every week because once i find something I like, I stick to it. I’ll change up 1 or 2 meals a week to try different things. At first I didn’t care for their chicken. I noticed it was tough and rubbery. I believe they heard this from their customers and changed it up because now it looks like they use organic chicken. Right away I noticed the difference. The chicken is more tender and juicy! I didn’t know chicken breasts could taste so good! My favorites are 1. Thai red curry chicken and tofu. 2. Turkey Burger lettuce wraps. 3. Turkey meatball w/​spaghetti squash. There are more, but everyone is different and you have to try different things to see what works for you. Seriously tho, eating healthy is so much easier when the food tastes SO GOOD!
Ordering: Their website makes it easy to choose items weekly. If I forget to make changes 1 week, it automatically reprocesses my same order from the week before. I find it super convenient. My only suggestion to FnF would be to email a reminder that meal orders are due. I went with the same meals for a couple weeks because I forgot to get online and change it up. I went out of town for a couple weeks and pausing my account was easy and painless! Sign in. click. done! Restarting it once I got back was just as easy.
Service: I noticed a few quirks in their process, but I think that’s to be said about any new growing business. Since I been a customer I have seen changes in their ordering process and the upgraded website. I honestly haven’t had any issues with ordering. I choose to pick up my meals at the Bankers Hill location. Sure, delivery to your home is convenient, but i cant guarantee that I’ll be home to intercept the meal delivery and don’t want to risk it sitting outside in one of those cooler bags. I’m impressed with how friendly their customer service has been. Whenever I have called in the past they have always been prompt in addressing my concerns and on a few occasions have offered to replace meals if there was anything wrong.
Overall, Fresh and Fit has been a great tool to keep me on track! Between work and planning a wedding, I couldn’t ask for anything better to help me reach my goals! I know food alone won’t help me get there, but having these meals ready has sure helped open up more time for other things like working out! Customer service is great. The food is amazing. It’s been a serious game changer in my fitness plan. I’m so grateful that a business like this exists in San Diego!
