I have been banking at the downtown branch since last year… I attended an event put together by one of the managers Jen Hanna. This bank is what banking used to be, where they actually know your name and are not just another number. Jen Hanna is THE BEST personal banker a customer would want, and she really goes above and beyond for her clients.

I LOVE First Republic Bank. As of November 2015 I am an 11 year happy customer — all of my personal banking, business banking and even my home mortgage. They are the «Cheers» of commercial banks «where everybody knows your name» as their business model is founded on personal service. You walk into the branch and sit down at a desk with a person who greets you by name vs. a generic teller booth experience. NOTE: I am an «average Joe» customer not some kind of big wig. If I need to wire money I simple shoot an e-​mail request into Nino or Tricia or the general inbox in the La Jolla branch (my original home branch) and someone calls within usually 15 minutes to verbally confirm and it’s done. I need a mortgage, I call my mortgage guy Victor Mena. I NEVER spend time on hold at some call center. I call and a professional person who prides themselves on excellent personal service takes care of me. Often they also provide me their cell phone number. About one year ago I started doing a lot of my day to day business at the new Downtown San Diego branch as it’s now closer to my home. I quickly felt the same type of welcome and personal service that I always had at the La Jolla branch. Mike and manager Jen Hanna have been awesome. They even have been having a regular luncheon program for clients, friends and potential new customer as a community outreach. They always support and get local merchants (often their clients) to cater. Class act. Excellent personal service. Always 100% hassle free. It’s the way it should be. Thank you First Republic!

I absolutely love doing business here! I’m ALWAYS graciously welcomed and acknowledged by name. Jennifer and Mike provide exceptional customer service and always make me feel comfortable. Jennifer was the first representative to assist me. Jennifer is a spectacular guest service representative by answering any questions I may have and not making me feel pressured or judged by my financial business decisions. She is genuine and I admire that especially coming from the job field she works in. I highly recommend anyone that has interests in doing business at this bank to consult with her or Mike. They both are great bank associates.

First Republic Bank is one of those old fashioned companies that treats their customers like royalty. I have been banking with them for almost 10 years and never had a bad experience. I was super happy that this new branch opened up in downtown and I was impressed with the new assistant manager Michael during my first visit.

I was on my weekly journey to Donut Bar and noticed this brand new bank on 4th and decided to check it out. This was like no other bank I have ever seen. I was greeted by somebody, I believe her name was Jennifer. She shook my hand offered me a seat and we started discussing banking products. From the looks of the branch you can tell this is a bank for people with money but, she never made me feel like I was out of place. She was really cool and so kind she insisted on giving me cookies. Apparently they have an oven in the back where they bake them fresh everyday. How awesome is that? Although I can’t bank here now; I do plan on it when one of my rich relatives die.
