Fido’s Forty Winks

Someone in the community recommend Kelly from Fido’s Forty Winks. At first things were really good, we met with Kelly and started using her services. For mid-​day walks we received updates and photos, which was perfect. We gained trust and respect with Kelly and started to use her services for overnight visits. This is when our relationship started going south. We found out that she was having other employee’s in the house doing the overnights Stephanie and Deanna. We are fine with others assisting with overnights and walks, after all it is a business, but our issue is we had not met with either of them before having them stay in our house. One of our pups has cancer and is on specific diet with supplements and medications. NONE of this information was communicated to the other walkers/​sitters. Yea, not okay. We expressed our concerns to Kelly and were wishful that things would improve. But things only continued… her communication started dropping off, updates were not given, walk and feeding times were out of sync with our dogs schedule. The last straw was when we scheduled an overnight/​walks for a friends weeding. We checked in with Kelly after not hearing for her and she had not shown up until 3:30pm when our dogs were suppose to be walked at 12pm! We asked her if the dog had gone the bathroom inside the house, sure enough they did which we had to hire and pay for a carpet cleaner. When we got back from the trip early we informed her we didn’t need another walk for the day that was scheduled and pre-​paid. At that time she told us another employee who we had not met did the overnights, what?! I thought we were clear… NO ONE in our house who we haven’t met! We emailed are concerns and terminated our relationship. Kelly handled it super professional, never took ownership for her shortcomings, no apologize just defensive behavior. We pay alot of $$ to have piece of mind for our dogs to be cared for and this is how she treated us. We asked her to return the keys, she said she would the following day. NO keys. She returned one set of keys 3 days after and have yet to see the other set she has.
If you love your dogs they way we love our dogs then please don’t use Fido Forty Winks.

I have had Kelly come to my home a few times but there have been some problems with her being on time and getting back to me after I have messaged. I was hoping for better service and quality care for my dog especially since her rate was higher than others that I met with for the same type of service. She had other walkers come to my house and they would text when they were through and one always sent a picture which I liked and made sure the house was picked up too.
I felt her employees were giving me the good service and continued to use her service because of her employees. The sending me a picture and a cleaned house was a big thing for me.
I will stay with Fido’s for now. They do care about your pet and that is a must for me.

I would give more stars if I could! Kelly has been walking my pooch for almost 3 years and has been so fantastic. I live alone in an apartment & sometimes work long hours so I when I moved here I knew I needed to find someone. I totally lucked out by going with this company. Not only are they reasonable, they are reliable, trustworthy, and caring. My dog absolutely loves Kelly and he is kind of picky about who he bonds with. When she introduced a new dog walker to fill in she even took the time to come with her and introduce them. She has come last minute when I found out I needed to stay longer at work than anticipated, come to walk him when I was sick, and has been so flexible with days and times. And maybe most importantly, I feel like she really loves animals and cares about my dog like he was her own. If you are super attached to your pooch, you know how important this is. I really cant say enough good things!!! You will not be disappointed.

Recently, I got a new job which is 4x the commute of my prior job (about 12x if you base it on time due to traffic). Before, I was able to head home for lunch to walk my dog; I have no yard, so Nelson is stuck inside while I’m at work. The first week of my new job was exceedingly stressful, knowing he was stuck inside for 10 hours.
Towards the end of my stressful week, I reached out to Kelly at Fido’s Forty Winks, she promptly set up an appointment to meet Saturday morning, and assured me that she is certified, insured and bonded. She fit Nelson into her weekly walking schedule starting Monday afternoon, and sends me daily texts letting me know how everything went. I can see an immediate improvement in Nelson’s anxiety level. He’s calm and relaxed when I get home from work, ready for walk #3, so he can get back home and proceed to sleep some more. Dogs life… Already pretty great, but even better with Fido’s Forty Winks.

We have four dogs and they can be a lot to handle at times! We have always had a hard time finding a dog sitter whenever we went out of town and finding someone who gave our dogs enough attention while we were gone. I found Kelly on craigslist about 3 years ago. She came over and met our dogs and I could instantly tell how good she was with animals. Kelly and her staff are amazing. She always sends me updates and pictures while I am gone. I am assured that my dogs are getting the attention and love they need and deserve while I am gone. Even with last minute needs, Kelly and her team have always been there. I really don’t know what we would do without Fido’s Forty Winks, they are THE BEST!

The bitch who owns this so called business is completely incompetent. One of her dog walkers was responsible for brutally killing my cat on my property and blamed me for the incident. This is a company who is only concerned with their image and should not be trusted.

I found Kelly on Craigslist. She is one of the kindest, most compassionate people I’ve ever met, and she cares for my 2 cats and turtle better than I could ever have imagined. I have never witnessed someone who speaks to animals so well and they respond to her with such love! I would recommend Kelly to anyone needing a caretaker for their best friends!

I don’t usually write Unilocal reviews, but since I found Kelly’s dog walking service on Unilocal myself I thought I’d add something about how great they are. My fiancé and I both work long hours during the week and it has been a never-​ending source of stress figuring out how to get home to our dog during the middle of the day for a bathroom break as well as getting him some exercise after a long day. Kelly and her staff now walk our insanely energetic boston terrier on an almost daily basis and it has been such a help! Her prices were better than any other local dog walking service I could find. She sends me text messages with updates after each walk, which is reassuring to know that my little man is in good hands. On top of that, Kelly and her staff are flexible with the days and times you need them. I am totally impressed!

I was referred to Kelly by a co-​worker and could completely understand why they recommended her. I called kind of at the last minute with unsure plans and she managed to fit me in and worked with my unknow schedule. She came over to my house the day before going out of town so we could met and she could get introduced to my pug. I was 100% confident in leaving my four legged child in her hands and having her/​her staff coming into my house while I was gone. Will be calling her again and recommend to anyone!

I managed to get a few days off from work to fly back home and see my family. Between finals in school and work, arranging for a pet sitter had been placed on the back burner until two days before I left. In a slight panic, I started cruising Craigslist to find someone to feed my cat in my absence. I ran across Fido’s and gave them a call; Kelly was gracious enough to break from her already full schedule and meet with me that afternoon.
I got daily texts from Kelly on how my cat was doing. She and her staff did an outstanding job taking care of my pet while I was gone. When I returned I could tell that my cat was happy and stress-​free. I will definitely give Fido’s my business again next time I’m out of town.
