Exeter 1031 Exchange Services, LLC is a nationwide full service 1031 Exchange company serving individual, corporate and institutional 1031 Exchange clients. We administer all types of 1031 Exchanges in all 50 states — both real estate and personal property — as well as the exchange of foreign property.

Over the years we have developed a reputation for analyzing, structuring and administering the more complex, sophisticated and challenging 1031 Exchange strategies, including Reverse 1031 Exchange structures, like-​kind exchanges of aircraft and other personal property, build-​to-​suit or improvement 1031 Exchange strategies on property already owned by the investor, and 1031 Exchanges of foreign assets.

History

Established in 2004.

It all began today with the formation of the The Exeter Group, LLC as a holding and operating company for real estate related businesses in 2004. Exeter 1031 Exchange Services, LLC, Exeter Reverse 1031 Exchange Services, LLC and Exeter Advanced Exchange Parking Services, LLC were quickly added in 2005.

Today Exeter 1031 Exchange Services, LLC, and its affiliate companies, is a nationwide Qualified Intermediary administering all types of 1031 Exchanges in all 50 states, as well as non-​real estate exchanges such as aircraft for aircraft, art for art, etc., and foreign property exchanges such as a Flat in London, UK for another foreign property.

Business Owner

William «Bill» L. Exeter is the President and Chief Executive Officer for The Exeter Group Family of Companies, including Exeter 1031 Exchange Services, LLC, Exeter Fiduciary Services, LLC, Exeter IRA Services, LLC and their affiliate companies. Mr. Exeter is based in the company’s national corporate headquarters office located in San Diego, California.

Fiduciary Services Executive

Mr. Exeter has been in the fiduciary services industry since 1980. He began specializing in real estate tax strategies in 1986 with a specialty emphasis in 1031 and 1033 Exchanges as well as Self-​Directed IRAs.

His area of expertise also includes specialized trust and fiduciary services for the real estate industry, including Title Holding Trusts or Land Trusts, dispute settlement trust accounts, dispute resolution trust accounts, divorce or dissolution trust accounts, cash holding escrows or holding trust accounts, and environmental hazardous waste clean-​up fund trust accounts.
