Terrible — don’t buy a Groupon or Living Social deal for this cleaning service!
I bought a 4 hours cleaning service 2 months ago. I hesitated to book online and provide a credit card but did so. My appointment was made a full month in advance. I had company coming for Thanksgiving and needed help as we had work done inside and everything was dusty.
I received an email with my person’s name and phone number. I called the number at 8:15 AM to confirm she knew how to get to my address for the 9 AM appointment. The call went to voicemail so I left a message.
At 9 AM, no one showed up. At 9:15, I see I have a message although my phone never rang. The message stated my cleaning person called in sick and was not coming. There was no phone number for me to return the call. So I called her cell phone again, note it is exactly one hour after my first call, and I get a recording that that number is NO LONGER IN SERVICE!
This is a sham operation. I called Living Social and they told me to call the corporate office for Exec Cleaning. The woman I spoke with at Exec Cleaning was not helpful. When I asked why I had to give my credit card at booking she told me that was for them to charge customers if they cancel late. Well, how about if Exec Cleaning gives all of us who were stiffed by their staff a $ 25 credit?!!
By the way, I used a credit card that we had not used when I booked the appointment online. Two weeks later I received a new credit card in the mail and my bank said they detected fraud on that credit card. Of course, we do not know if it was Exec Cleaning or not.
I am still irate at how this was handled. I would give them zero stars. And they are really good at filling your email with offers for Handymen. I wanted a cleaner, not a Handyman.

tldr; Appointment was cancelled last minute. Customer service sucks.
I bought a Groupon for a 3-​hour cleaning session at the beginning September and gifted it to my Mom to help her look around for a new cleaning service. She was put off by the online-​only appointment scheduling and the fact that you have to submit your credit card information even though her card was never going to be charged. However, she still went ahead and made an online appointment over two months in advance.
The appointment was for today at 9am. Around 8am my Mom checked her email and saw that they cancelled the appointment. They avoided calling/​texting the phone number she submitted. They offered no way to promptly reschedule. Then they offered Groupon’s customer service number and suggested she call to get a refund. Seriously? I’ve never worked with Groupon as a small business, but I know their refund policies; They don’t cover refunds for bad customer service. This business that IS working with Groupon pretended to not know their policies to get a customer (my Mom) off their back. We both found the whole thing pretty insulting.
I swear I had checked out Unilocal to weed out the crappy places, so I returned to this page to check out their reviews again. This time I noticed most of the recent poor reviews were pushed down and there were a couple 5-​star reviews made over a year and a half ago at the top (and made on the same day too…).

It seems like this isn’t out of the ordinary since there are several other reviews quoting the exact same experience. Last minute cancellation with no way to quickly reschedule is not acceptable to me. Since clients are required to give 24 hours notice for cancellation, perhaps you should enforce the same policy on yourself and your employees to avoid idiotic situations like this.
Now I’m going to go over to my Mom’s house to help her clean.
*UPDATE*
I ended up calling Groupon customer service and after about 20 minutes on the phone they gave me a partial credit in «Groupon Bucks.» It’s definitely not ideal and we still lose out, but it’s better than a sharp stick in the eye.

I’m surprised to see all the negative reviews. I purchased a Groupon for 3 hours of cleaning and booked my appointment online about a month out. Obviously if they are selling a lot of Groupons, you cannot possibly expect them to drop everything and clean your house tomorrow. You’re getting a deep discount, so have some common sense. Julie did an amazing job at my house. She was on time, polite, and friendly. I am a clean freak and the floors were cleaner than I’ve ever seen them. I will definitely book her again– I just hope she is still working there when I do!

Booked through Groupon. Horrible horrible cleaning. Even paid extra to make sure house was cleaned well. Carpet wasnt swept, bathroom wasn’t mopped and nothing was dusted! Hardwood floors was swiffered but not mopped. Extremely poor service. DO NOT PURCHASE!

Terrible service. The girl was slow. In 3 hours she cleaned 2 bathrooms.
Because it was a move in home I said if there was any trash she she found in the draws that she could toss it. After she left I took it upon myself to check her trash bag of the bathrooms she cleaned out. Glad I did. Because she threw away the remote to the bedroom fan? No common sense.
They also use their own products and the floor was really sticky when she was done too. So i had to clean that again and the shower glass too which was terrible. You never think she cleaned it.
I will never book again. What a waste of my money!

If I was able to give negative stars I would. Bought this as a post baby gift for my daughter. Granted it was a groupon. She had difficulty scheduling the 4 hour cleaning, but was eventually given a date, time and job Id #. She received a confirmation email confirming date, time, and her correct address. They never showed up, no phone call nothing. I even have the housekeepers name, which I should have posted for being so unprofessional and irresponsible. So here this new mom and 2 month old waited all day… nothing. We both tried to call at different times to speak with the company, and what a shock… left on hold for 40 min for me and 30 min for my daughter before we hung up. Recording stated they had an unusual amount of call volume… probably from customers complaining for paying for a service they didn’t get. Hmmmm Isn’t that fraud? A shame for the company, if they had done a good job, would have repeated biweekly service for my daughter indefinitely. Luckily groupon cares about their customer satisfaction and refunded my money. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY!

Worst Company ever!!! I booked a service a week ago and the cleaning lady canceled it 2 hours before the appointment. No one contacted me before or after. I called their number a bunch of times and no one answered. When I contacted them through email. It took them days to reply me and said they are happy to reschedule. Then when I send back my preferred time, no one replies. I still haven’t got my service or even and appointment and they have charged me money and put it in «my account» on their website. Think twice before you choose here!!!

booked through a Groupon. I haven’t had the cleaning yet, but so far I am unhappy I went with this company. First, I have to wait over a month for the cleaning, and was told by instant chat this is because I am using a Groupon. Of note, when I first initiated the instant chat to see if there was anything earlier, no one even responded. It was only after I said I would leave a negative review that they responded it is that long of a wait for a Groupon voucher. Second, they are forcing me to accept text messages, which I never accept from businesses. Third, they forced me to enter my credit card information even though my cleaning is already paid for via my Groupon voucher. Why?! Lastly, I purchased 4 hours of cleaning even though it will take no where near that long to clean my 2 bedroom 1 ½ bath condo. I did this seeing that they clean interior windows, so I allowed enough time. However, when I clicked on «clean interior windows,» they wanted me to pay extra even though the amount of time I purchased through Groupon will be sufficient. Seriously?!
I will update after the cleaning, let’s hope for the best. But so far, this company seems to treat Groupon users poorly by extending bookings out, and users in general poorly by forcing text messages and credit card information for services already paid for.

Booked a cleaning service for today and they canceled an hour before service. I needed the cleaning service for guests tonight so this is a huge disappointment. I don’t think I would book again with this company.

I used exec to clean the kitchen, living room, and bathrooms on both the bottom and top floors. I made an appointment very easily over the mobile app–
when i returned home from being at work, i noticed that the kitchen floors weren’t cleaned and the bathroom upstairs was ignored. I called the exec team right away and they were very apologetic. They sent something the next day free of charge to finish the work and the house was spotless.
I would recommend this service highly. They really care about their customers and want to do a good job.

Exec cleaning was pretty excellent to use. The fact that you can book over the web (or mobile app), get text message updates confirming the schedule and alerting you to when they start and stop was excellent.
The cleaning was pretty good, especially when you consider that there were some parts of the house that were kind of a disaster before they arrived. It is a little expensive from what I am used to paying but overall worth it.
Will use again.

First, the great website makes it easy to book. Second, the text alerts adds level of professionalism you wont find with other companies (and it my case allowed me to avoid that awkward moment when the cleaning crew arrives to your dirty apartment). And last, the thoroughness of the service is astounding. The place looks better than it did when I moved in. Everything was vacuumed and polished. Of note were the level of care taken in the kitchen and the bathroom.
I was very impressed with the service and will be using again.

Used Exec Cleaning for the first time this past week, and I was 100% satisfied with the service. My cleaners, Betsy and Emily, did a fantastic job — especially on the kitchen and bathrooms. My house is spotless!
My two favorite parts of using Exec are the ease of booking and the numerous notifications that customers receive before, during and after any cleaning appointment. It was incredibly easy to book my appointment on Exec’s website. I received a confirmation text and email the day that I booked the appointment, in addition to a reminder text the day before my scheduled cleaning.
Exec also sent me several texts the day of my appointment notifying me that my cleaners had arrived, started cleaning, and when they were finished and had returned my key. This gave me great peace of mind (because I was at work during the appointment) knowing that they were on time and confirming how long they spent on my house (2+ hours).
Fantastic service — I will definitely be booking again.

Awesome job! Most thorough cleaning job I’ve seen in a while. I was planning on throwing out the compost trash can we have (covered in grease and filth) but the team came and scrubbed it clean!

Hand down the best cleaning service I have used by far for my apartment.
The entire cleaning service took 2 hours and they covered the carpet, walls, kitchen, bathroom, etc. When my apartment mates and I returned, we found everything to be spotless. Even hard to clean things which we thought were permanently stained (e.g. around the toilet bowl, trash lid) were restored and polished. Interestingly enough, they folded our clothes that were left on the bed/​chairs, made our beds, nearly arranged the items/​papers on our messy desks, and basically left everything looking professional and aesthetically pleasing.
Definitely exceeded my expectations by far. Thank you Exec Cleaning for such an excellent service!

From the ease of booking, to the convenience of communication between me and the cleaners (we we’re able to text the day of through a secure number), to the exceptional cleaning job they did… there is not much more I could have expected or wanted from a cleaning service.
The team of 2 worked diligently & carefully and cleaned the heck out of my house! It hasn’t been this clean since I moved in. And they didn’t just clean: they organized, folded clothes that laid around my room and treated the house with respect. They were very friendly too!
I am very thankful I went with the Exec Cleaning Service and would recommend it to anyone who needs or wants a really clean house!

Easily the best cleaning service I’ve used. This is the only cleaning company that has such an easy to use website. I can book directly online in minutes and its so simple. Their team of cleaners are also really professional and accommodating. You can tell they want to do a good job. They also bring their own (Eco-​friendly) cleaning supplies.
But, what got my five stars were the little things they got right: they folded my toilet paper in that fancy triangle and gave me a chocolate before they left.

Tried out Exec for a house cleaning and it was fantastic!
I got rid of my christmas tree super late (fail) and there were pine needles all over my carpet… then my vacuum cleaner broke (double fail, sadface).
The scheduling is all done online which makes it really easy. You can schedule a block of time and either agree to meet the cleaning team or tell them where you’re hiding your key!
The cleaning team texted me when they were on their way, I got there and let them in and they asked me questions about any special requests/​things they shouldn’t touch/​etc. I went to the gym and then ran some errands and got a text saying they were done. When i came back the place was not only SPOTLESS but they did so much more than I expected them too! Every surface was clean and they washed and put away all my dishes, cleaned every appliance, made my bed and just tidied up the whole place.
HIGHLY recommended both price wise and because sometimes its hard to find a trustworthy cleaning service. This cleaning service is attached to a reputable company and you can review and rate their performance afterwards. I have used services such as Merry Maids before and they were SO OVERPRICED and I also have used random cleaners recommended from a friend of a friend and had bad experiences. Oh and they take credit cards! Two thumbs up for Exec Cleaning.

I decided to try out Exec Cleaning and Maid Service at my house in Pacific Beach and I can tell you that our house was really messy so I was a bit skeptical about how clean they could really get it.
Exec cleaning checked in with me 15 minutes before arrival, showed up in a timely manner, and really made my house sparkle. They cleaned every nook and cranny, and made the bathrooms, bedrooms, and living area look so welcoming. They even found a watch that I had misplaced and left it waiting on my bed next to my folded clothes when I got home.
I definitely recommend these guys if you’re looking for a thorough cleaning and maid service for your home.
