Specialties
Acupuncture IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease including Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis, etc.):
* Relief from aching and cramping.
* Stimulation of the immune system to balance the body’s inflammatory response to viruses, bacteria or allergy inducing substances in the intestine.
* Relief from side effects of pharmaceutical medications.
* Balancing of gut motility, resulting in less diarrhea or constipation.
* Improvement of digestion and assimilation of nutrients.
Because there is no known cure for IBD, many patients feel frustrated or even hopeless. However, many IBD sufferers have found that acupupuncture can bring relief from the side effects of drugs (such as immune suppressants or steroids) and help them regain good health. Recent scientific studies have shown that acupuncture can relieve pain and provide impressive therapeutic effects for both IBD and IBS sufferers. I have studied and worked on these issues extensively.
