History

Established in 2009.

With a keen eye for opportunity and a drive to make a difference in the community, founder Javier Virgen saw how he could fill a need to conserve water and do his part to protect the environment. Through extensive research he discovered a line of plant derived, biodegradable, non-​toxic cleansers that not only protect the environment but also preserve and enhance a car’s finish. Considering the current water shortage and his seven plus years experience auto detailing, he decided there was an urgent need for this waterless car wash service and Eco Auto Solutions was founded in Los Angeles. We are now proud to serve the San Diego community with our location in East Village as well as offering mobile services to the surrounding San Diego community.

I receive a gift from the daughter for a car detail. On their site it stated that they come to your home or you can take it their location. I call and no, they do not come to your home. I was told that it would take up to 2 hours to detail my BMW Z-​4. So I made an appointment and took the long drive to their downtown shop. When I get there I was told it would be 4 hours until my car would be done! They lied to me on the phone, and the appointment was a joke, they had taken other cars ahead of me even though I was 15 minutes early for my appointment.

Found this place on Living Social and Groupon. I’m planning to sell one of my cars and thought I will get it detailed. I’m learning about detailing but I just don’t have the time right now to do so. This car is pretty bad too. It’s been sitting in my driveway for months with no wash except for the rain! The finish felt like sandpaper literally! Shawn was probably thinking, «damn what a piece of crap!»
I bought the Living Social and schedule an appointment. I’m happy this is down the street from my work. I dropped it off in the morning and told them they can take as long as they want on it.
This place is kind of hard to find. They share the warehouse with a gas station I believe. The sister company Lux is also at the same company. Lux more of the coatings. Nolan also gave me a lot of information about coating (opt-​coat and Glass Coat, Quartz Finest and UK) for my car. I might go back soon once I figure out which one I want and fits my budget!
Overall I’m happy with the results. It’s not flawless but I wasn’t expecting it to be. It’s a 16 year old car with the original paint! It’s pretty glossy and people are e-​mailing me about the car! The living social was for the first level exterior detail level 1. I was hoping they got rid of this adhesive from the paint but it still there. I tried everything myself. I’m sure it needs more work than a level 1 detail!
I would definitely recommend this place for an eco (probably no rinse) wash. This is not one of those Soapy Joe places where they damage your car’s finish and don’t care about you.
