Like many of you, I loved Chuck. He spent the time to understand what I wanted and made it happen. I had been searching high and low for a great stylist who I could go to for years to come. Well I guess Chuck didn’t feel that way, after two cuts he ‘let me go’ as a client. Over two weeks I called a few times and left messages on the business line and his cell phone that were not returned. More than anything this is just a bad business practice. I was flexible and tipped well(ok, decent). If he wasn’t accepting new clients and just looking to fill a whole in his schedule, he should make that clear up front.

I went to eFactor to get a curly cut using the DevaChan technique; I used to go to the Devachan salon in New York when I was living there, and I love how my curls looked afterwards. Both Chuck and Jenn do curly cuts, and I saw Jenn. I didn’t like it the first time, but they fixed it for free! I like my cut now, but my old stylist did it better. In short: I’d go there again, good service, $ 50 for a decent curly cut.

Fun stylists that really listen and help you decide on the best hair for your lifestyle and personal style. It reminds me of those hidden places in manhattan — that you have no idea how cool it is until you get inside. it’s like Narnia! Worth checking out, even if you have a hair stylist already! get a facial instead!
