Dry Express Restoration

My mother experienced a flood in her home and we decided to call Dry Express since they were recommended to us by her neighbor. Big mistake. I can only say good things about the technicians who helped with the restoration and repairs, however the administrative side of things was run like a joke. I never received updates on how the work was coming along. If I wanted to get a hold of someone I had to call 10 times in a row before someone picked up. They would give me excuses like «we didn’t hear the phone ringing» or «we have been having problems with our phone service». These are the worst excuses ever. You are a business! If your phone is acting up, call someone in and get it fixed ASAP! That is your lifeline to the customer! Even my insurance company complained that they could not get in contact with anyone. My mother was finally able to move back into her home last month and she is very happy with the repairs, however if I could go back in time, I would hire a different company that was more professional.

I came home from work late one Friday night to be greeted by my downstairs neighbor telling me it was raining in her kitchen. Immediately I found that my kitchen had unfortunately flooded… Micah and his team were fantastic! His company was called by my downstairs neighbor’s insurance and I, being a renter, couldn’t get a hold of my landlord since he was out of town (and cell range) to know what I should do. Micah graciously left dehumidifiers and fans in my unit the 1^st night for free (he worked on getting the restoration started until 2am so it was all setup right) so I could get by but also to ensure that no further damage would effect his client in the unit below me. Once I got the okay to use him the next morning from my landlord, they went to work. Each day they were actively working to remedy the issue and while I have a very demanding work schedule, I felt they communicated to me every step of the way and took an immense burden off of my shoulders. It is a real struggle to not feel comfortable in your own home and feel bad for anyone else also impacted. They took care of fixing it but also provided a sense of assurance it would be resolved and provided a realistic timeframe. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. If you’re experiencing a disaster at home, heed their advice and understand they’re experts. They also never made me feel I was asking too many questions and were very personable to interact with.

We had water damage as a result of a leaking washer and needed assistance with cleanup. Micah showed up in a timely manner and did a great job assessing the extent of the damage. He reviewed treatment options with us and did a great job of customizing a straight forward solution that worked for us. No sales pressure at all, he genuinely cared about getting us taken care of.
The equipment and technology that he used on reviewing the damaged areas was impressive and his attention for customer service is outstanding. Highly recommend.

Micah and his team did a fantastic job with the flood at our office! They were on site very quickly and explained everything step by step and I couldn’t have been happier with how things went. Its always a stressful time when something happens like this unexpectedly but they made the process so easy and they do all of the work and phone calls with your insurance! Micah and his team did a great good to quickly restore my property to 100%. General Manager Leo worked effieciently and quickly so that my tenant could return to the property as soon as possible. I had a quote from another company. The expensive quote plus their demeanor really made me nervious that I was getting exploited and taken advantage of. Had a flood, had them service and dry everything out. Small misunderstanding that was quickly taken care of by the owner who went out of his way to correct the small problem. Would recommend.

Owning an 80’s-built condo for five years now, there’s a decent amount of things that can occur to your home. Micah’s first job at my home was ceiling drywall damage that occurred from a roof leak. It was just a year into ownership and a very stressful time for me having not gone through a process like that before. Micah was professional, honest and the pricing was as expected for that type of damage. I haven’t had anything major like that happen to my home since, but I’ve called him first anytime I see minor damage or anything that could potentially become major in the future.

We had a water pipe break. I was worried about mold and the damage to the framing. I found them online and they said they would come and give an estimate later that day. They said they could take care of everything in a few days. The work was finished on time and they did not leave a mess, which was great since we were having a dinner party at our house that weekend.

Dry Express Restoration has a great staff who are professional and do work in a timely manner. They explain what is going on in your house especially with water damage. They get the job done as quickly as possible so you can get back to your life. They work with your insurance to give you peace of mind.

Highly recommend! I got home from work the other day and water was coming out from underneath my bathroom sink. My friend recommended Dry Express, so I called them and they came right out. They were extremely professional, even calling me to let me know they were on their way. All the phone calls and visits were very professional and I felt very comfortable with them there. At my house they were very careful and explained everything to me in a way that was easy to understand. I hadn’t had a leak before and wasn’t very familiar with the protocol.

I would never recommend this place to anyone. They will just try to scam you for your money. Don’t waste your time and money.
I was doing flooring in my house and there was mold found under the floor when the wood was removed. I have 3 kids under 5 years old at my house and was very concerned for them and felt I needed immediate attention to be removed.
I found this place on Unilocal that had good reviews and thought I would give it a try. It is 9am and I wanted it removed by the end of the day. I talked to the boss on the phone and he said he can have someone at my house by 4pm to check it out for free. That was to late and I wanted the situation taken care of ASAP so he told me if I pay $ 150 we can get someone out to my house by 10am (one hour) and do a estimate and they will get on the phone with my insurance company and talk to them about the problem and remove it by the end of the day. So I thought that was perfect and just what I wanted.
One hour later they come to my house and do an estimate that only took him 10 minutes to tell me we have mold (the obvious) and it will cost me between $ 750-​$ 1000 to do the removal process and they can do it the next day. Then ask for the $ 150 and leaves.
I wouldn’t have wasted $ 150 for 10 minutes of their time to have them come out in an hour to get nothing done, tell me something I already know and couldn’t do anything till the next day. I could have waited for them to come out to my house at 4pm for free and still have worked on my house the next day! And they didn’t ask anything about my insurance or cared to talked to them. Just told me I probably wouldn’t get it cover.
Well we found another place and they took care of it for us and we are covered by the insurance with no deductible. Nothing out of pocket.

We called them to quote an emergency flood damage. They were very quick to answer and come to site to do an estimate. We obtained three different quotes and although we did not choose them they were courteous and professional.

Dry Express did a superior job for an associate of mine. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Excellent work!

Very professional, respectable to your home, most important ON TIME! Had a hot water leak on my second floor and had water damage throughout the house. Call Dry Restoration since it was down the street. A gentleman by the name of Micah. answered. He was very knowledgeable and professional. He dropped what he was doing and said he would be there with in the hour. Gave me a quote and stopped the leak all in one fail swoop. Next day I had them start and was finish by the end of the day. I recommend them for all your water, fire, and mold damage.

These guys are f***ing awesome. We needed some serious mold removal done in our house and they took care of us. The crew was all very friendly and knowledgeable. We didn’t have an emergency call, but we scheduled an appointment and they arrived right on time, no 4 hour wait like most contractors. The work was professionally done, and they were very thoughtful of our pets (dogs and snakes). The price was fair, much better than big commercial companies for how extensive our mold problem was. Bottom line, these guys are the tits.

I am a real estate broker and I have had four occasions to hire Micah and his company for water and mold issues. I have always been more than satisfied by his response time, prices and his ability to get the repairs completed in a very timely manner. I will continue to call Micah and refer him to my friends and clients.

I hired Micah to take care of a flood restoration job in 2007. He did a great job. He showed up in a moment’s notice, gave me an accurate timetable and quote and even came by the property a few times to ensure that everything was going as planned. I would definitely recommend Micah to anybody and would hire him again.

As stated previously, Dry Express Restoration (PuroClean) did good work, but the breakdown in communication was unacceptable. It made us feel like we made a huge mistake and were about to get ripped off. I’m glad to hear you have been so proactive in finding ways to address these problems. That’s a strong sign of a good business.
I haven’t responded to your recent calls because I don’t expect you to provide me with any free services for my trouble. Again, I was hoping you would change your policies, and I respect the fact that you have done just that.
Based on your response here, I would offer this. Make it a policy to ALWAYS give your customers written estimates. Don’t wait for them to ask. It’s good business practice and it helps the customer, someone you’ve most likely never done business with before, feel more comfortable and trust you.
With respect to State Farm, I can only go by what I was told by our adjuster, and that was we should not have been asked to pay in advance. I understand your need to protect your business and make sure you get paid. However, based on what I learned during this, my first ever experience with a flood in my home, you should have communicated better with State Farm as well. Once you knew this was a covered expense, you should have collected from State Farm. Maybe I’m wrong. All I can tell you is what State Farm told me.
With respect to the equipment being checked on Saturday, my sister and her kids were staying at a hotel during all of this, but she was at the house at 7:30am that morning waiting for Jance to come check the equipment. My guess is you were there earlier than she was. The point, however, is she waited all day and called several times and was unable to reach anyone. The same story on Sunday — we were unable to reach anyone until late that day. Given the fact that on Friday the floors were nearly dry, this seemed extremely questionable. Thank you for acknowledging this miscommunication and acting to prevent it in the future.
I did meet with you prior to filing a claim with State Farm. It was you who told me it was probably a covered loss and that I should contact them. I also saw Jance everyday throughout the week, and he made it clear he was in charge of our job. I liked that. Again, I believe your company did good work, but the communication breakdown as the job neared its end was very difficult for us. It didn’t help that State Farm was telling us we shouldn’t have been asked to pay anything.
Micah, I sincerely wish you well. You have a good company with good employees, and you do good work. Give your customers written estimates. It’s good for business. The people you meet have probably never experienced this before, and they’re putting their faith in you, a guy they don’t know. If you’ve corrected the communication problems, and there’s no reason for me to believe you haven’t, then I’d recommend your company in a heartbeat.

I just recently had a major sewage leak in our downstairs bathroom that effected our living room carpet, kitchen cabinets, dry wall, kitchen hardwood floor and family room carpets that occurred on a Sunday night at 10pm.
I received Dry Express Restoration’s information from a trusted source. When I called and spoke with Micah, he was so helpful from the get-​go. One of his employees, Jance came to our home that night and immediately addressed the issue and did not leave until he felt the job was complete, which ended up being at 1am!!!
Dry Express Restoration was extremely helpful and profession through this entire process. Without a doubt, they are the best in the industry with the best customer service. I recommend Dry Express to everyone and anyone.

We have a leaky roof that put about 5 gallons of water in our carpet and likely as much in our walls. Major suckage.
