Discount Tire Store – San Diego, CA

Simply the best! Came in this morning with a flat tire and my two toddlers in tow. I was immediately greeted in the parking lot and they quickly inspected my punctured tire. My information was pulled up and they repaired it within minutes for FREE! The waiting area was super clean and fully stocked with water and coffee. Mechanics were friendly, fast, patient, and knowledgable to all the customers they interacted with. Every experience here has been stellar. We will be lifelong customers. thank you discount tire!

They opened a bit early and jumped on getting my car serviced at 8am. Jason and Tyler were swift and professional. Everything was great and I was out of there but 8:30am with a pair of new tires and the information I needed to stay safe. Great job!

how did i not know this? my low air pressure light came on a few days ago (oops i guess im supposed to check it every few months?) and though I knew it could easily be addressed at the air fill stations at a gas station, I was hesitant to do it myself. I wasn’t 100% sure my pressure gauge was working right, plus I was all dressed up for work and didnt want to be kneeling on the ground at a station. A coworker told me discount offered for free so I called them up!
they provide very professional and friendly phone service and the guy confirmed they would fill my tires and give them an inspection. its all very straight-​foward and they even have a dedicated area with sign to drive up to. I never even had to leave my car or turn it off. After filling the guy ahead of me, i pulled up and he quickly filled my tires and off i went.
i confirmed at home with my gauge and it was showing the correct PSI — roughly 10 higher than before. So now I know its working, AND a location to get it filled for free quickly and easily. Awesome.

Wow!, what can I say to describe the five star service you receive here. My back tire had a slow leak due to a screw embedded in it. I drove up and parked my Jeep when I am greeted by Mathew who was so attentive to my needs within minutes I am treated as a VIP Guest, no lines like other places and they were busy for 9:30 in the morning. I am assured that they would take care of my tire and all at no charge! I could not believe my good fortune to find this place. They offered me fresh coffee or cold bottle water while I wait. I was in and out within one hour. I asked how they make money offering this service for free and all he said was «Next time you buy tires buy from us» I absolutely will! You ask what ever happened to «Good Customer Service»? I say… it exist here at Discount Tire on Genesse Avenue.!!

Man. I rarely give five stars but this place was just super nice. Got a flat tire cuz a nail was stuck in it and went here to get it patched up. The guy asked for my info even before i asked how much it would cost so i was a bit scared it might cost a lot. But he said not to worry about it at the very end. I went on a pretty slow day so the whole process took only about twenty minutes. They were fast and efficient and they also check your tires for free! A very happy experience indeed.

If I could give 10 stars I would! The service was excellent and repair was quick!

I was out in my car waiting for the them to open (I had a flat the night before and called AAA but I needed a special tool for my rims, which I didn’t have, so they towed me here instead) Byron came out to make sure I was ok right at 8 am when they opened (I got dropped off at 7:15). I was a pretty hot mess with a crazy year and he was so understanding and sweet. He said warm up inside with some fresh coffee and let us take care of it all. Not only did they give me the tool I needed for next time, he gave me an incredible price on a used tire as my other front tire that was not flat was very close to bald. All in all my entire bill was FREE.
This is the exact reason I only shop here at DISCOUNT TIRE when I have that need.
You have a LOYAL customer here for life!

This location is top notch in customer service and accountability. I came in today to have my tires rotated. The technician noticed one of my tired was low and had it checked for damage. Sure enough it had a nail in it and they repaired the tire.

So one morning I woke up and noticed my tire was completely flat, I went to fill it up but it was already past the point of no return. I went to Discount Tire at 7:00 am because I had a job interview at 8:30, when I pulled up JC greeted me and asked me the problem. I informed him of the situation and that I had a job interview in an hour and needed to get a patch done ASAP. About 15 minutes later JC informed me that the tire had air bubbles and was not safe to drive. Being broke with literally $ 20 to my name I started to stress out and realized I would miss my interview. JC said he will see if he had a used tire he could put on for me. About 30 minutes later with only 20 minutes till my interview, JC came up to me and informed that the repair was done… So finally I asked the one question I was dreading, How much ?
With a smile on his face JC said «No charge» now get out of here and get to your interview. I literally didn’t know what to say. It was truly a random act of kindness that I needed.
Anytime somebody ask’s where they should go to get tires. I always refer them to JC. He helped a complete stranger when I was in need and I will always remember that.

What excellent customer service. My husband had a flat tire of which the dealership said they couldn’t repair. However we took his car to Discount Tire and not only did they repair the tire they also guaranteed the repair.
The service was excellent and repair was quick for a small fee.

I put a lot of off-​road miles on my vehicle, so quality tires are important. Discount Tire’s customer service has been great: free air checks & rotations, quick inspections when a tire looked low, etc. So– I wanted to use them when I bought a new set of tires this year.
I checked in October and was told there would be a rebate in November on the tires I wanted, so I returned and replaced the set– cost nearly $ 900. However, the employees gave me incorrect info on rebate details –my request was rejected.
I returned to the store, explained what had happened and they simply refunded the same amount I would have received with the rebate.
So– thanks for the good service, and for the «rebate” — I appreciate the efficient customer service. Looking forward to more off-​road miles on the new set of tires!

I like to come here and get the air pressure checked on my tires because that is important for maintaining good miles per gallon.

Nice older man, knowledgeable and very helpful!
But last week I go in to get a quote for two tires and he gives me the price of $ 189 which included the tires and service… So I tell my husband the price though it seemed high to the both of us but whatever I needed the tires… My husband comes to this shop the next morning asked for the same tires I was quoted on and he was only charged $ 150.
Careful with that one!

Nothing bad to say about this place. Great prices, they don’t try to rip you off or pressure you into anything you don’t want or need. They remember you. Get things done right. My family has been using them for years and I’ll continue the tradition.

This place is awesome. I went in because I had a slow leak in one tire. I didn’t even buy my tire there but they still patched it up for FREE. It was pretty busy but they gave me a conservative estimated wait time (they finished 30 mins. earlier than they said they would) and had a very comfortable wait area with free bottles of cold water.
All employees were very friendly and professional. They would walk by the wait area every once in a while to check up on everyone waiting to see if they needed anything. Very impressive considering how busy they were. They all seem to enjoy working there.
I will definitely be coming to this location the next time I need tires.

So I came here because I assumed that it would be a cheaper repair. My tire didn’t have any nails but for some reason it was leaking air. I made an appointment a day before I came in. When I did come in, I was greeted by friendly staff. The staff member took care of me really quick with professionalism and courtesy. I literally sat there less than 20min and the job was done. Best thing was that it was done for FREE. I would highly recommend coming here for any tire repairs. I would definitely come again!

I needed 2 new tires for my car on the front, but I knew my back ones still had some tread left before the wear markers. I was helped immediately by Blake, who quickly inspected my tires and told me what I knew to be true. An honest salesman, I appreciated that. We went back inside, paid the damage and I quickly noticed that Blake immediately went on to check on everyone else in the store. I saw him completely diffuse someone in a terrible mood and send them away smiling.
Discount Tire comes through again. They’ve always price matched for me, even online retail. If they don’t have your tire in-​house, they special order — or in my case offer a better tire for a similar price. This visit beat all other locations of DT I’ve been in terms of overall experience, and I’ll definitely be back to this one.

This place is amazing.
I had some sort of a leak in my tire and finally got tired of filling it with air every week, so I took my tire in to get checked out. I made a reservation, which I recommend though they do take walk-​ins, and they were so friendly on the phone and in person!
I worked mostly with Blake, who is probably one of the friendliest people on the planet, but the other people who worked here were also SUPER friendly and patient and they must have a crazy screening process to work here because everyone is way nicer than I would ever expect.
So anyway, I digress. I brought my car here and Blake looks at the problem tire and says «Oh yeah something is there» and I DONT KNOW HOW HE COULD TELL because it looked normal to me, but he says «I am a professional. I work with tires all day,» which I mean, I was so impressed because HOW COULD HE TELL? New life goal: learn the secret to tire-​looking.
They were pretty busy when I was there, but they took such good care of me. About half an hour later, my car was good as new and the tire was all patched and evenly inflated and I was on my way, free of charge! They told me about how long my tires had left on them, which lined up with what I already knew about when I needed to replace them in the future, and they didn’t try to sell me anything which was the best move ever, because now I love them and might actually come back to get tires here.
¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend for tire patching, tire rotation, etc. Pain-​free experience when pain was anticipated. Good work!

When it comes to cars, I’m completely out of my element. I had to say it because I know there is a terrible stereotype about women not knowing anything about cars, but in my case, it’s absolute truth. I panic when anything goes wrong with my car. It ruins my whole day because I automatically assume it will cost me an arm and a leg to fix it (which is often true unfortunately).
When I came to Discount Tires, I was in the same old panic mode. Before going to work in the morning, I had discovered a screw had embedded itself in my tire. This explained why my tire pressure light had been coming on for the past two weeks, but this discovery did not put me at ease. I had never EVER picked up a nail or screw in any of my tires in the past, so I literally did not know what to do about it. Like I looked at it and thought, «Are tires supposed to have screws in them? No. Right???» See, I told you I don’t know cars. I also automatically assumed that the tire would explode while I was on the 805 and then I would die in a fiery 20-​car pileup. (Okay, so maybe I’m a little dramatic with an overactive imagination. I’m very aware of this at least.)
So, I made an appointment with Discount Tires online for 5:15pm. This gave me all day to imagine ways that my tires could explode and kill me and/​or drain my bank account. I assumed that they would sell me 4 new tires just because. I was very worried about getting ripped off or pushed into purchasing over-​priced tires. I thought I might die in a Discount Tires. (Once again, overactive imagination, people.)
To make a long story short, I got to Discount Tires, they took a look at all of my tires, patched the one with the screw embedded in it FOR FREE, told me that I had about another 2,000 miles on my front tires, and gave me an estimate on how much those would cost. They didn’t demand that I buy them then and there. They said that they hoped I would come back by the 2,000 mile mark and get the new tires from them. AND I WILL COME BACK.
They were so nice here, very efficient (took about 15 minutes to patch it up), and did not even attempt to rip me off. They weren’t pushy salesman. They really are just there to help and get you the best deal they can. After having been to several car places where it either took a million years or I worried that I was getting ripped off, this was a nice breath of fresh air. Keep it up, Discount Tires! :-)

Ive had bad experiences at other discount tires before, but this one is great! All the employees here are super nice and very quick. They make sure everything is good and safe before you leave.
I mainly came to this location because its down the street from my house, but ill continue to come here because of the great customer service.
