There are no state standards or licensing requirements for temporary childcare, so Destination Sitters has, on its own, created the strictest requirements in the industry for its sitters – no other agency refers sitters who meet all of our standards

Destination Sitters only refers the highest quality, fully vetted sitters; we spend hours interviewing/​investigating/​preparing each sitter in order to get the best sitters available

All sitters

1. are background checked, drug tested, & health checked (TB)

2. are both First Aid & CPR certified

3. have a minimum of four references fully and thoroughly checked

4. are university students, nursing students, (many of whom are also life guards, EMTs, tennis instructors, etc.), school teachers, and so on

5. have an average age of 22 – 28, though we also have older sitters (minimum age is 18)

Many bi-​lingual sitters are available (over half a dozen languages are represented)

Sitters for families of children with special needs are available

Destination Sitters is run by professionals with combined 50+ years of business experience in a variety of fields (CEOs, entrepreneurs, international trade, government, design & construction, onscreen television personality, sales & marketing, among others) with educations from Harvard University, Stanford MBA, Stanford Law School, University of Cambridge,
