Ed is amazing! He totally fixed my hair and gave me an amazing haircut, out of all the times I have gotten a haircut, he is the only person that has done a great job! I put my faith in his hands and the outcome was great! He gave me really good tips on how to keep my hair looking beautiful.

I Love Ed! He is the best! I have never had a haircut I liked so much! I wanted something stylish but that didn’t need maintenance. I am so happy with what I got! I don’t even need to dry it and it looks great! I loved watching him get totally focused and involved when he was cutting my hair! He is a real artist. And he is such a sweet human being and a pleasure to be around. He is the only person I trust with my hair! Thank Ed!

Ed is amazing! I’ve never had a hair stylist spend so much time with me to really achieve the results i wanted. I even showed up a day before our appointment and rather than have me leave and come back the next night, he cancelled his plans and came up to the salon. He gave me a fabulous cut and color and really educated me on how to manage my new ‘do! a couple weeks later, he did my hair hair and makeup for a military ball and it was fabulous! I can’t say enough wonderful things about Ed! He knows his stuff and is very affordable.

Ed is amazing! I had some color done elsewhere that I wasn’t overly happy with, and he fixed it up like you wouldn’t believe! I can honestly say my hair has never been softer thanks to his deep conditioning treatment. His prices are more than fair, and he is a joy to chat with as well. Looking forward to my next cut with Ed!

Ed has sucha generous soul! :) Here’s the story: I had a last minute event, & frantically called all the local salons for a color touch-​up. Ed was the ONLY one who said yes — but it would need to be later in the evening. after he returned from doing a house call haircut.
The man must be the true doctor of hair design!. because he drove 45 minutes to do a client’s hair who had recently suffered a ‘medical setback’ — a fresh haircut really is good therapy! THEN, he called to fit me in as well (we’re talking 10pm-​ish). What an incredible and selfless work ethic! … I was so impressed by this random act of kindness that I felt compelled to Unilocal it.
Oh– so, the only reason I did not rate him at 5 stars is that I decided not to have my hair done afterall; my event seemed a bit frivolous in comparison. Someday I might actually meet Ed in person :)

Being new to San Diego, I booked an appointment with Ed based on friend’s recommendation. Ed is not only personable and a talented stylist but he actually takes the time to listen to what you want, gives his recommendation and you end up with a fabulous cut and color! The salon is clean and inviting although parking can be a problem… like many places in San Diego! The overall service and prices are great and I love the products (I usually don’t care for a salon’s «featured» products). I am definitely a fan and plan to be a regular customer.

I just got my hair done recently and I thought it was what i wanted it to look like… just a few highlights. But then I went to go see Ed. I told him I wanted more highlights, super thin, and kind of blended. He knew exactly what i was talking about. When I was watching him work, it looked like he was putting too many highlights and I got scared for a second but once he washed it out, it was absolutely perfect. I have little to no hair knowledge, but Ed really knows what he’s doing. He’s been in business for many years and not everyone can make hair look as good as Ed does. Pretty much, he fixed my hair and made it look wonderful! I totally trust him and I can’t wait to go back!

Ed knows a lot about hair. He also happens to be a naturally generous person who takes the time needed to make the client happy. I first met Ed because our other stylist moved away. Fortunately, Ed is a good fit and a thoughtful, new friend. If you’re looking for a gentle and gifted person to take care of your hair, you should give Ed a chance to show off his talents.
His new location, Christiano’s on 30th (near Adams Ave.), is cheery and comfortable. We appreciate the spacious, friendly ambiance of Christiano’s.
