Der Wienerschnitzel

5 chili dawgs for 5 bucks, life is good. They reheat really well even the next day. I also got the root beer float, yum. I hid the scale this week lol.

Pastrami dog on a regular steamed bun, doesn’t get any better.

We got up at the «Crack ‘O Dawn» to run the Bumble bee tuna 5K race right before the awesome parade along the Embarcadero in downtown San Diego.
Strutting our athletic selves to the starting line with bib numbers and race times declaring us the soon to be sweaty runners along the parade grounds. I am sweaty, hear me roar. Raaawwwr.
So after a 43 minute run (hangs head in shame, getting over a cold, excuses ad nauseum) I was able to get some tasty water, a great tech shirt and bananas that tasted amazing.
And then we see the parade. Saw some amazing balloons and really enjoyed the bands. And then we seen the Der Dog balloon. Floating in the air in abject terror. Our salivary glands began to work overtime as we gleefully imagined how the 400 calorie run could be offset by a chili dog. After placing the post-​run goodie bag over our faces and tearing out holes for our eyes we sidled over to the lunch truck and got two dogs and two sodas for 4 dollars… HOLLA.
The line was long but the people working there kept it moving fast and were very nice.
Had to go to a 60 minute dance class after the run to compensate, but I would do it again. I am not ashamed, just hungry for more eats, (Can anyone get that truck in my driveway?)
