I’m in love with their cupcakes here. My all time favorite is their grasshopper. It’s a chocolate mint flavor.
The southern bell is good too if you like red velvet with a cream cheese frosting.
Customer service is great as well.
I recommend this place.

Amy is Amazing ! The cupcakes and cakes are delicious ! I have known Amy for 2 years now and have never ordered cakes or cupcakes from anywhere else for big functions. Her presentation is amazing and the flavors are awesome (red velvet and chocolate are my favorite). Amy is amazing! She made the perfect birthday cake for my son. She asked questions about his personality, likes/​dislikes, and favorite colors. The detail she went into for a one-​year-​old was unreal. She is VERY nice, extremely professional, delivers to your door, and makes a beautiful and delicious product. Highly recommend Cupcakery!

I was thrilled when I got a reply back from Amy that she had availability for my daughters birthday. I requested Fiesta themed cupcakes and a personal cake for each of my girls.
Each of their cakes were brightly decorated and beautiful. (Lemon cake with lemon filling and yellow cake with chocolate filling) The cupcakes matched perfectly. Red velvet with cream cheese frosting and vanilla cake with vanilla frosting)
The cupcakes were very moist and the icings were a perfect match: creamy, not overly sweet and highly pigmented.
My only issue was with the cakes. I know that these kind of cakes have a reputation for being dense and dry due to the fact that they have to withstand the weight if the decorations. but The lemon cake seemed like it was brushed with a lemon glaze or maybe it was under cooked? The cake was not cakey but dense almost like a paste. Which made it hard to cut and a little unappetizing. In contrast the filling was very light and airy. Texture aside the flavor was perfect lemony sweetness. I just wish the cake itself was more palatable.
As for the yellow cake with chocolate frosting I have to say it was not so good. The cake was very dry and over sweet, the chocolate filling did not taste of chocolate although it was very light and fresh tasting against the sweet dry cake it lacked full chocolate flavor. Thank goodness it had the cutest little llama figure on it or my chocoholic 3 year old would have been disappointed that her cake did not have chocolate.
Despite my negative experience with actual cakes I would say that Amy really does make DELICIOUS CUPCAKES, and has a real talent for delivering your vision. I was overall very satisfied with her professionalism, delivery (which is a major help on party day), and her prices are very reasonable. She also seems to have a secret recipe for the best tasting fondant.

It pains me to write this negative review but since I hired the Cupcakery based on prior reviews, I have to be honest for the next person.
First, the positives. The cake was BEAUTIFUL and exactly what I had envisioned. Amy was extremely communicative and professional. The delivery was on time, exactly to the minute.
So why the 1 star? The cake itself was not good. I ordered a yellow cake with chocolate filling and vanilla bean icing. The filling, icing and fondant were delicious (which is surprising because usually fondant is gross). Upon cutting into the cake, it was so difficult that I thought it was near frozen. I was serving the cake so I was the last to taste it but looking at the adults’ faces, I already knew it wasn’t going to be good. And it wasn’t. It was very dry and very dense. One of my guests compared it to old cornbread. How embarrassing! I was very disappointed and surprised because all of the reviews I read said the exact opposite about her cakes. I immediately knew something must have gone wrong with making my cake.
The cake was for a bunch of 4 year olds and most of them ate it, so no harm done. But the cake was either very old or it was missing a couple of ingredients. And I am not a picky cake eater. Based on the other reviews, I have to assume that something just went wrong with my cake.
Unfortunately, this was my experience so I can’t recommend her cakes and I won’t be ordering again. Sorry… and I really wanted to be a fan because the cake was gorgeous! I did let Amy know the next day and she quickly offered to bake a dozen cupcakes but the moment is over and the cake I served was bad. A dozen cupcakes isn’t going to change that experience for me.: (But, at least I have great pictures! :)

Amy created beautiful, delicious, and affordable cupcakes, mini cupcakes, and cake pops for our wedding. She also made a beautiful cake for us to cut. We chose red velvet with vanilla buttercream frosting, yellow cake with chocolate frosting, lemon with cream cheese frosting, and chocolate with vanilla frosting for our cupcake flavors. They were all SO good and we got many compliments from our guests.
The set up of our dessert table was so beautiful and exactly what we had envisioned. Amy was very helpful throughout the wedding planning process and we were happy with her service and the taste of the desserts!

Absolutely outstanding service! Amy was very kind and accommodating. She delivered a dozen beautiful cupcakes to my girlfriend for her birthday. She has a great design aesthetic, and the taste (according to the girlfriend) was excellent. Her prices were very reasonable and she even offers free delivery. I can’t say enough nice things about the Cupcakery. Great product, great service. Thank you Amy!

Mouth-​watering goodness! I decided to go with Cupcakery after seeing all of the 5 star reviews. Excellent choice! The jungle-​themed cupcakes and cake pops were a hit at the baby shower. Besides the pregnant mom, these treats were a main focal point. Amy, I can’t thank you enough!!!

If you like moist, delicious cake and airy delectable frosting– choose Cupcakery! (and this coming from someone picky about cake and iffy about frosting!)

Cupcakery was the perfect choice for Billy and my wedding shower. They worked with my budget and my tastes. The cake was perfect.
They did such a great job personalizing our cake. The topper was the exact replica of the snowman that Billy proposed with. We still have it and will never throw it out it is precious to us.

My co workers and I ordered cake pops for Valentine’s day. It was so good, we all enjoyed it. I’ll definitely order again.

Have had cupcakes by Cupcakery at a few different parties and just recently placed an order for a mini cake for my husband’s birthday. Amy was great at working with my flavor request (key lime) and very open to decoration suggestions. Tasted great — very flavorful — and she even delivered it to our house. Forgot to take a picture though, so I uploaded the chocolate and peanut butter mini cake picture. That one was my favorite flavor combo!

The Cupcakery did the cupcakes and top tier for our wedding and we couldn’t have been happier! The flavors and freshness were superb! Amy will whip up any sketch you can dream of and then change it as much as you want as you change your mind. She did such a great job and I can’t say enough great things about her or her cupcakes!
We will surely use the Cupcakery again for any special cake or cupcakes we need. The prices are extremely reasonable and you couldn’t ask to work with a nicer person!

Cupcakery did the wedding cake and cupcakes for my daughter’s wedding on May 29, 2011 at the Leo Carrillo Ranch in Carlsbad. Amy Black, one of the co– owners of Cupcakery, delivered and set up the whole display at the promised time.
We had ordered 3 types of cupcakes: Red velvet with cream cheese frosting, chocolate with vanilla buttercream frosting and lemon with a lemon buttercream frosting. Each and every guest I spoke to thoroughly enjoyed the cupcakes. Guests who normally do not like red velvet cupcakes raved about those from Cupcakery. My husband had two chocolate cupcakes and was disappointed that the rest were already eaten! My personal favorite was the lemon with the lemon buttercream frosting – the frosting was airy and light tasting and the cupcake had just the right amount of lemon flavoring.
The cupcakes were beautifully decorated with a light sprinkle of sugar on top to give a slight sparkle to the cupcakes. The wedding cake was designed with an array of hand shaped peacock feathers (Leo Carrillo Ranch has many peacocks wandering around). Amy’s skill at cake decoration was surely put to a test with those feathers, which turned out beautifully and fit right into my daughter’s wedding décor.
I was so pleased working with Amy to set up a beautiful day for my daughter. Amy delivered on everything she promised. I highly recommend Cupcakery and would use them again.

I don’t know how she does it but the cakes are always moist, fresh, and delicious. Plus, she’s super fancy and I swear she could make a rocket ship out of cake. One that launches…
She told me her secret (yeah right, she’s got a million I’m sure) is NEVER FREEZING THE CAKES (she said it like that). I don’t know what that would do, but she swears that freezing cake is a sin.
