Love this place! I met Leslie today who helped me select a frame/​mattress/​cover for a futon we needed for our 2^nd guest room/​my home office. They could have even delivered this afternoon, it just didn’t fit with my schedule. The futon mattress I purchased is extremely comfortable; by far the most comfortable futon mattress I’ve ever sat/​laid on. On top of the great quality of product sold here, Leslie is one of the nicest people I have ever met with amazing customer service. I highly recommend Creative Futons and cannot wait for my futon to arrive tomorrow!

Man! The customer service at Creative Futons was impeccable. The elegant, creative pieces are amazing! I just picked up my accent convertible accent chair and I love it! Furthermore i wanted to create my own stand to sit this chair and she gave me an old wood back brace that she had laying around… ISN’T THAT AWESOME! Will post my final project soon!

Walked in at 10:50 door was open. Looked around for a few seconds and was greeted buy a guy burping and telling us to get out, the store isn’t open until 11. Such a great way to treat customers. Furniture selection was below par. Wouldn’t go back.

Got exactly what I wanted. This is the place for quality futon furniture, great choices, and kind helpful people. Very positive environment. Totally recommend.

Lovely shop, great people working there! I ordered a lovely futon, and due to a Housing Commission foul-​up, was not able to move in at the appointed date. However, Creative Futons has been very helpful, in that they are going to keep my futon at their shop until my move-​in date. I saw a bad review here, but I would like to say that I don’t understand the complaints in that review, because every step of my process with Creative Futons has been wonderful!

Got there at noon, found a nice futon and got it delivered same afternoon. Great service and great selection. Price was awesome.

Leslee was friendly and knowledgeable. We bought a wall hugger with a double size gel-​foam mattress. We intended to use it as our sofa, but it is so comfortable that we now have a play-​pen in the living room. Couch potato? How about bed loafers! Netflix, here we come.

Great experience ordering from Creative Futons over the phone. I ordered the same day and they delivered and set up at my place pretty quickly. They have a great selection of futon frames; different styles for you to choose. I ordered the Dillon wall hugger frame because it’s armless and looks like a platform bed frame when folded down. It is also much easier to fold down and fold back up from the front than other types which you need to fold from the side.
I wanted to replace an old wire type frame that I bought secondhand. I used to get terrible backaches for quite some time and would get massages for it but after sleeping on my innerspring futon on my new frame I woke up with no aches. Pretty comfortable in both the sofa and sleep position. Definitely check this place out.

I just bought a futon frame and mattress from Creative Futons the other day. They have not yet been delivered, so I can’t tell you my ultimate satisfaction with the product or delivery experience, but I did want to review my buying experience, which was excellent. I will say that I was the only one in the store for most of the time, having come out in the middle of a weekday, so I did not have to compete with other shoppers for the sole salesperson’s time and attention. That said, I thought that Mac did a great job answering my questions, telling me what my options were, and getting me through the whole process quickly and efficiently. He was friendly and helpful without being fake and there was no «hard sell» feeling about his approach. I wish more salespeople had his attitude. Anyway, I’m looking forward to getting my new futon on Saturday. I will try to update this review at some point once I’ve got it.

I purchased a «top of the line» futon mattress to replace a ten year old one. It was some kind of foam. When I got it home it was too short for the frame and it felt like it was alternatively trying to swallow me and push me off the side. I travel a lot for a living and was not able to call the store until nine days after my purchase. I offered to return the mattress pay their %15 restocking fee and use the store credit to buy a cotton/​spring mattress. The owner «Leslee» said I had to bring it in right away. I dropped everything and headed over. On the way there she called me and asked why I wasn’t there yet. I live a good distance from the store and had told her that but because she doesn’t listen to people she missed that. This turned into an argument and got uglier and uglier. I was doing my best to be diplomatic and professional but she kept saying inflammatory things like: «after your dogs got all over it» and «your jeep is probably all dirty» (I have a 2014 jeep compass and it is not dirty”.
I was getting pretty mad by this time and decided it was not a good idea to go to the store feeling like I did so I called to tell her I would come in on my own schedule she got very irate and sent me a nasty text saying she would not take the mattress back. I returned it to the store the next day but she was not there. Her workers would not take it back so I just left it there. Now I am fighting with Visa to get the charges reversed. I will never do business here again.

Love this place! came here to check out prices of futons and the owner is so nice and very knowledgeable. The futons are reasonably priced, and they have VEGAN leather my friends! Aside from the awesome furniture, if you are into collecting rocks and minerals… this lady knows whats up. She has a beautiful collection of amethyst and different crystals that she’s collected at shows. Definitely come here for a great deal and awesome finds.

We recently re-​furnished my step-son’s room and bought him a new bed. The bottom portion of the bed is a futon couch. So, we needed to buy a futon and so glad we came here. We found exactly what we wanted and the quality was so much more than what we found at Wal Mart or Target. The price was not too much more either. If we ever need to buy another one, we will def come here.

We went in today and had a great experience! Leslee (sp?) walked us through a wide selection of futons and we were amazed by all of the customization options. We were very pleased with the selection of frames, mattresses and a whole back room of cover options. Leslee had very impressive product knowledge and had been in the business a long time so we appreciated her expertise. We were treated like old friends and can’t wait for the delivery of our futon!
Oh yeah and I can’t forget! Shout out to the gentleman who was also working in the shop. After we left, I realized I forgot to take a picture of the cover for color decorating reference and he was so nice and took a picture of our cover to send to me. Now that is going above and beyond!

During a recent trip to San Diego, I stopped at Creative Futons and was helped by the young man who answered every question. My family had purchased a futon over 10 years ago from Creative Futons and when recently moving and putting the frame together, it was discovered a bolt was missing. This was not any bolt and after going to four hardware stores, I had all but given up on replacing it. This young man was able to help us in replacing the piece and gave quality customer service.
The quality of the futons are above reproach and I would highly recommend this business to anyone considering purchasing a futon!

Large variety of selections. Good customer service. A bit pushy but overall good.

They were very helpful and had an excellent inventory on hand. I didn’t purchase anything but I was impressed with the explanations and how purchasing a futon works (Frame, Mattress, Cover etc).

Just ordered two more covers for our futon chairs and they came with small pillows to match! We’re about to move out of state, so I wanted to be sure to get our chairs and the queen bed outfitted with new covers. I still have the Cal king mattress in the bedroom — still fabulous sleeping on it, and the double size in the other bedroom. Wanted to show pics of the new cover (I haven’t put the pillows on it yet, but they match perfectly!!!) They will drop ship to your home, if you don’t live in town, which we don’t — so it’s easy to work with them on ordering these items. Also, here’s a pic of the double size that pulls out to a very comfortable bed. When we left San Diego no other dealer (and to this day cannot find another) had the slightest idea of what I was asking for with a pull out style like that. Leslee knows everything about futons and fabric, etc. I will continue to use this store for all my replacement covers, and when we move back into So. Cal area, I’ll use Creative Futons for any replacement matresses that we may need (the chairs will need updating eventually ;-)) Read my prior reviews on this store. Read the rest of my reviews and you’ll know I don’t hesitate to say when someone’s done it wrong — in Creative Futon’s case they do it right the first time and every time in the last 11 years or so that I’ve been dealing with them! Honest, creative, integrity, well-​priced and a truly expansive selection on top of true expertise!

Our experience with Creative Futons was top notch! I liked the atmosphere in the store, especially after some of the dark, dirty places we’d shopped in earlier (shudder!). They have a wide variety of different frame styles and mattresses. Leslee helped us and she was great –friendly, no pressure, answered all our questions. My favorite part was, she had her kitty there! He was sweet and friendly, even sat on my lap even though he wasn’t feeling well at the time. We got a memory foam mattress and a futon that you don’t have to pull out from the wall. We Looooove it! Our delivery experience was quick and easy, too. Overall, a great experience, a great product –we will definitely shop here again!

If I had an option, I wouldn’t give them any stars! I came into this store a few weeks ago to look at their futons. I didn’t buy anything from them because of their shitty customer service. The owner Lesley has a nasty attitude and was beyond money hungry. The way she treats her employees says a lot about her. Very unprofessional to speak to her employees the way she does, especially in front of customers. Her so called futons are «organic» yet she has a HUGE cat lying all over them. Who runs a business with their pet over «new» furniture. Does she not think of people who are allergic to cats? Plus the smell is horrible! Never again am I coming back to this store.
