Description

Specialties

Cowboy Star Restaurant and Butcher Shop is the first restaurant in San Diego’s East Village to serve up a unique dining experience by combining contemporary American cuisine with a western flare. Winner of the 2008 Orchid Award for Interior Design, the restaurant features exposed beam ceilings, cowboy accents, and classic landscape photography creating a welcoming atmosphere where locals gravitate.

A stunning display kitchen is the focal point of Cowboy Star’s main dining room, offering an insider view of the behind-the-scenes action.

The Old West ambiance provides a laid-back and stylish background perfect for private parties and special events.

If pleasure is the order of the day, stoke the fireplace and treat your group to the intimacy of a family gathering. Of course, we’ll do the cooking.

History

Established in 2008.

Cowboy Star opened in May of 2008 and continues to offer a welcomed retreat to both a devoted group of regulars as well as excited first-timers.

Meet the Manager

Luke H.

Manager

Luke has been in the service industry world for more than 20 years. He cut his teeth in his 20s as owner/operator of a clothing & counter culture store and a nightclub, where he gained key insights on running a business. While in graduate school he began a fifteen year career as a fine dining waiter and has worked at some of the most prestigious restaurants in the area. Luke earnestly waited for an opportunity to join the team at Cowboy Star and he has settled down into his ideal job as Restaurant Manager for «the best restaurant to work at in San Diego» and what he calls the most trusted restaurant owners in the business.
