3 stars isn’t bad. If you’re in the neighborhood and craving Greek, this place will do the job.

I’m not sure where the people giving poor reviews are eating, but I’ve always had particularly good food, pleasant service, and abundant portions here. We usually get the symposium platter, it says it’s for 2, but there are 3 of us this evening, and there’s still leftovers. I usually don’t give 5 stars, but they deserve it here. This is my favorite Greek food anywhere.

I’m here a on a Wednesday at 2:15 and I’m the only one in the place besides the workers. The place is definitely a mom and pop shop. Everything is clean and in order. I ordered the Greek salad with chicken and a side order of falafel. The salad was about $ 10. The side of falafel was not on the menu but the waitress said no problem so we will. I got charged 3 bucks for the falafel, which is reasonable. Overall I would give this place a 3.5 in stars.

Horrible customer service!!! Don’t ever go there my friends! I have been there once before and thought it would be the same quality based on my previous experience. Ordered 2 dinner plate to go, paid 30 bucks and they gave us wrong order. The cook answered the phone and I asked them how they gonna fix this issue. All He said was«complain to the owner tomorrow…“And he hanged up on me!!! The food quality is not the same either… It just a horrible location!!! I am a local and I will make sure that my friends don’t go there and get the same messed up customer service I got…

The lady behind the counter is nice enough. She keeps our drinks refilled at all times. I had the Zeus burger and my bf had the gyroscopa. Half gyros and half kabob. Though the restaurant was empty it took at least 20min plus to get our food.

Love this place! Delicious food, and the staff are super friendly! Make sure you bring a friend to help you eat because you definitely get more than what you pay for. I normally get anything with Gyro :)

Do you wanna know what I love about this place? Besides the wonderful service and great food? The décor. I read a few reviews before posting my own and no one has mentioned how great the ambiance and décor is! Yes, they have a screen door, but only because they like to invite fresh air and not have any flies. The decore is decidedly greek. Beautiful blue walls with stunning white columns every 5 feet or so. Some nice blue hues in the corners and Boom! Youre in Greece! Food is always hot and fresh, salads are perfectly dressed and you MUST order the olives and feta starter. I am telling you… I have never tasted better, fresh feta in San Diego.

My favorite«don’t feel like cooking» dinner spot. The gyro sandwiches are my husband and my favorite. Comes with a great Greek salad. The flavors of the gyro are awesome and so much tasty meat! The lamb kebab is also pretty darn delicious. And if you have a little room for dessert, the honey cake is rich and sweet. We usually get it to go, but the customer service is also really nice. The staff is friendly and welcoming. And you can’t beat the price. When you’re looking for a quick, delicious and inexpensive dinner, highly recommend.

absolute amazing lamb meet on the Gyros sandwich!!! I will come back to try other dishes soon. Great price, only $ 6.95 for one:) The service is real friendly too and I love the blue wall, feels soothing.

I absolutely LOVE Country Kabob. My go to plate is the falafel sandwich. I have never been disappointed. I can vouch for that since I tend to order out at least 1 to 2 times a month when I don’t feel like cooking. I’ve tried other places but they don’t compare. Service is great. The ladies that work the counter and take your order are always nice and friendly. As for their non vegetarian plates, I’ve also hear great reviews from the people I’ve dined there with.

This place is so bomb! Such a hidden gem, even though it is right on Adams. Low-key spot with delicious menu options. Great service and delicious food.

Never enough meat is provided but it’s decent and close enough… I’ve only ever had the gyros, salad, pitas and the chicken soup. The soup was… Grossly addictive to eat… I was starving and will eat whatever’s in front of me if I’m hungry enough, but would not pay for it again. Other than that it’s not hard to mess up the gyro, but if they weren’t so skimpy on the meat this would increase their business. What they lack in originality and flavor can be made up for by appeasing their current clientele by making requested changes and after reading other reviewers, this seems like a consistent request.

I do have a disclaimer only because I was a bit torn between what my final rating was going to be. So if you’re in the area it’s great, however if you have to travel you may not be too happy as finding parking just to get here may discourage anyone. I live in the area and so when I’m craving for Greek and I don’t feel like driving this is the place to be. Their gyro is great. I usually get the gyro sandwich as it has the pita, lettuce and all I need to eat with my hands. I had their kabobs here before and I think they are alright. Nothing to rave home about. There is usually just one lady serving and its okay because the place really doesn’t get busy. In the end if I was craving Greek food and didn’t want to drive, I will say this is definitely a four stars cause I its says when you rate it. ‘I’m a fan’.

Not the best Greek food I’ve had, but pretty damn tasty! When I lived in Normal Heights, Country Kabob was my go-to restaurant for date nights with the hubby. After eating we would stroll on over to the Ould Sod(conveniently located next door!) for a few drinks. You can even order food from the restaurant, and they will deliver it to you at the pub! I highly recommend the gyros and salmon kabobs. The Symposium platter is a great dinner-for-two option — it comes with an awesome assortment of dishes to share.

I stopped by here for s light dinner on a warm day, and I did not feel like cooking, so I went for a cool grilled chicken Greek salad which included a side order of warm sliced pita bread( ). Although I felt the amount of chicken should be increased, it had great color and flavor.( ) It was tender for the most part and tasted good with it Mediterranean herbs and spices( ). My favorite part was eating the salad with the warm pita slices that were quite good and came with a side of flavorful tzatziki( ). I loaded up some chicken, feta, and greens and it was game on people( ). One thing I would suggest would be for them to ease up on the amount of dressing they put on the salad. There was literally a pool of dressing under the salad. Perhaps serving it on the side would be better, to allow the patron to control its quantity. The lady, the owner and server was very nice. She had a pleasant personality and provided great hospitality. Overall, I am settling for a 3.5 stars. More chicken please…

I was having a strange craving for pita & hummus, a simple yet jaw dropping snack, so I decided to try this place out. I read the reviews and viewed the pictures and it all looked excellent, I’m not sure what everything else here tastes like but judging from the pita bread & hummus, I would definitely come back to try other dishes. BUT to me honest, yes, the pita bread and hummus was divine but the pita bread was sort of hard, a little too hard, and there was a bit too much oil in the hummus, despite the little things, this snack/meal was overall great.

Good Greek food. Almost everything that was served or that I ordered was authentic Greek food, from the Gyros plate(Lamb & Beef kebab) to the feta cheese on the salad. The place has a nice setting/ambience with the light blue painted walls & the Greek statues. The only thing that I was really disappointed with was the baklava. Nothing about it was authentic, tasted just like any other baklava that can be ordered to make or in a box. After having some real baklava straight from the islands I haven’t found anything close to it in the states… yet!

My friends and I came here because the line at URBN Coal Fired Pizza was too long, and we didn’t mind eating Greek food since it was more or less across the street. The feel of the restaurant seemed legit, from the décor to the furniture. It was a cute and quaint little place, but EVERYTHINGECHOES. We could not conduct our conversation in a normal volume because we knew the people on the opposite side of the restaurant could hear us. Perhaps it is busy earlier in the day, since we went there later on a Saturday evening and there were only a few other people there. I was excited for authentic cuisine, but the gyro sandwich and tzatziki sauce honestly did not taste too different from the mass produced Greek food that I eat in La Jolla. It’s good, but not special. The potato«chips» were interestingly yummy… soggy but flavorful. Overall, the pricing was average, the service was average, and the food was average, so I’m giving this restaurant an average rating.

This restaurant is t! ts. I was at The Ould Sod next door and saw a server come in with plates of fresh savory food, and learned that you can order here and have them bring it to you ATTHEBAR. ZOMG!!! I ordered a gyro sandwich and an extra order of fries for my drinking buddy. 5 – 10 minutes later our food arrived. My gyro was stuffed to capacity with delicious lamb tomato and tzatziki sauce with fresh and piping hot fries/chips. Those chips are fantastic. FANTASTIC. I stole some of my friend’s after mine were gone. The gyro made me really happy and I didn’t have the stomach upset I’ve experienced from overly greasy gyro’s from other establishments in the past. The service was also super friendly, the prices a tad on the high end of the scale but absolutely worth it for the delivery and delicious factors. I will definitely be back.

This place is pretty good. I’ve had better falafel but it was on par. The staff is very friendly and they stay open late if their is business. What a concept huh? Actually serving customers and being thankful to have them? They were long past closed when we showed up but there were a few patrons in the restaurant already so we didn’t feel too bad. They welcomed our party of 6 no problem. Split the symposium with someone you love.
