History

Established in 1992.

Conveyor & Storage Solutions is a specialty contractor for material handling storage systems, and specializes in designing, warehouse space planning, custom engineering, project managing, installation, and submitting building permits. We started out with conveyor systems but today we take advantage of pallet rack systems and stand alone mezzanines to achieve our goals regarding reducing our client’s warehouse operational cost.

Early Years:

Lived in Birmingham, MI from grade thru high school and attended Michigan State University right out of high school. Graduated in 1973 from Michigan State, (a victory for all us ADHD’ers’). From 1970 thru 1979 I worked in several sales positions culminating with an architectural/​structural concrete business. Moved to California in 1979, when Michigan turned into the «Rust Belt.»

Worked briefly for Atlas Equipment Corporation, and then spent the next twelve years with McKinley Equipment Corp, ending as the San Diego sales manager. I started C&SS in 1992, out of my garage in Escondido. By 1996 we opened our yard in Ramona. We moved our office to San Diego in 2003, then to our present location in Mission Valley in 2005.

Professional Experience

I tutored under the «best» structural and material handling engineer in California, Ed Larsen of LMT. Ed was involved deeply in developing the original seismic codes in California in the 1970’s and 1980’s. After starting C&SS
