My situations seemed hopeless with my hours being cut at work and my credit card debt spiraling out of control (30k +). For the past 5 years I have been making only minimum payments with interest rates in the range of 15−20%. For those of you who are in a similar situation all know that these payments just barely cover the cost of interest… so angry. Even though i have been making my payments on time my credit was still going down? How was this possible? After doing some research I found out that my debt to credit ratio was driving down my score.
