Team Evans was amazing for my wife and I. This was our 2nd home purchase and they made everything so easy. Scott’s team did great work and were prompt and fast with all transactions. Justin and Jacob in particular were two great people to work with, they answered all my questions and pushed my loan up as high as possible so that my wife and I were literally able to get our dream home.
Our real estate agent commented a number of times how impressed she was of this group of people. As you can see by all the reviews listed on this site, these guys just do good work for everyone. I had tons of questions, we looked at a lot of houses, and they responded to all of it quickly. I’m glad I reached out to them a few months before this process started, they gave me guidance and advice to ensure that I would qualify for my loan. I just did what they said and we funded today. Don’t wait, talk to Team Evans asap!

Anyone looking to purchase or refinance should absolutely contact them and work with them to get it done. They make the process so incredibly simple and respond to all of your needs right away. This is not our first time dealing with them, and every time has been awesome. We will not deal with anyone else anytime it comes to purchasing or refinancing a home.

This is my second time buying a home, and I could not believe how easy this process was compared to the first time. Scott and his team are by far the nicest most patient people I have ever met in this industry, let alone in general regarding CUSTOMER SERVICE! Scott, Jacob & Caroline literally would reply to any questions by txt or email promptly. They also would send me information and a list of our progress on a daily/​weekly basis until completion. This made it so easy and stress free, not to mention I had very little questions because they were so thorough! 100% impressed with CMG and will refer all my friends and family to them! This place is impressive. When my wife and I bought our first house in Texas we used Guild Mortgage, who we thought did an excellent job. However, when we moved back to San Diego and were trying to get pre-​approved we ran into some communication issues with them, or lack thereof. So, we got a recommendation from our realtor to CMG, specifically Justin. The level of service I received from Justin was incredible. Not only was he prompt at responding, but his level of detail was something that I have never really encountered with a loan person before. I would ask a question and he would not only respond promptly, but list out the options and what they mean. I got this from Guild, but not after asking a million other questions.
The loan process was also pretty incredible. We worked with Caroline Flaherty mostly during the loan process. She was great to work with. Always on top of things and very detailed in her requests for documents. She also processed things extremely quickly.
Overall, our experience with CMG was awesome. If I buy another house, I would totally use them again.

I am a first time homebuyer and I was worried it would be a stressful process to apply for my home loan. CMG made it simple and smooth for me. They were also very informative and answered every question that I had.

Scott Evans is hands-​down the most integrity-​filled mortgage broker I have ever encountered! I was referred to him by my real estate agent when I was having some doubts about my current mortgage broker. Scott listened to my concerns, asked me some questions, and actually was honest enough to advise me to stick with my current broker because he would not be able to get me a better rate.
But his generosity and integrity didn’t stop there. He went a step farther to ask his colleagues about my mortgage broker, just to make sure I should use him. Then, when I had questions a month later about how to proceed with my mortgage, Scott took my call and gave me really great advice… twice! and he wasn’t even getting my business.
Looking back, I do wish I had used Scott and his team… my mortgage would have closed on time and I would have endured a lot less stress. Next time it’s Scott all the way!

Based on my past credit worthiness, I had no expectations when I was given the contact information for Scott Evans & Team CMG.
After speaking with Scott Evans I was still a bit hesitant about moving forward.
Scott’s positive attitude and vast knowledge made me feel that it was possible to improve my credit situation.
He passed me to CMG team member Jason Lowery.
Jason walked me through the process of repairing my credit step by step. Within 10 days or less, my credit scores were significantly higher than ever before.
I couldn’t believe it!!!

The Scott Evans AND Sergio Vargas at CMG are nothing short of Amazing! I have worked with them for a couple years and they never fail to impress me as our first closing a few years ago was nothing short of magic work and they are now lining up a refi and purchase to go seamlessly!
If you are looking for a home loan, FHA, loan or a refinance these are the guys to call. Trustworthy lending groups that come through on what they say are far and few between and I would have no one else finance a deal for me than Sergio and Scott at CMG!

Let’s be honest here, there isn’t any magic or mystical voodoo when it comes to retail lending. Any open ended liberties have all been sewed up after the 2008 crash. At this point it’s basically an algorithm of paperwork and documentation that spits out the ultimate answer: do I get a loan or not?
So ultimately what separates these institutions is the customer experience they provide to their clientele. CMG Financial has recognized this and structured their business to provide the highest level of customer service. Emails are answered promptly, disclosures are fully discussed to understanding, and phone calls always have a courteous associate on the other end.
Our first experience with a local lender was a disaster (see Samuel Scott Financial) so I wasn’t optimistic going into this transaction. The folks at CMG Financial reinvigorated my faith in customer service. I highly recommend their prompt, courteous and professional services. We closed on time with no surprises, no mistakes and no headaches.

I shopped around a lot and CMG gave me the best service and numbers by far. I worked with Jacob Lowery and he was extremely professional and responsive, even during after-​hours and weekends. I am usually a difficult customer, but CMG made the process very smooth! Furthermore, they are great with all types of loans (conventional, VA, FHA, etc.). We could have closed really early on it, but the seller was the slowest moving party of the transaction. In the end, we still closed 3 days early! Highly recommended and will do business with again!
