Love these guys! They were in support of my medical marijuana project Cant say enough about Edith G. and Chris L. Very helpful during my CUP process the whole way thru. Very professional and to the book. I would of gave them a 5 if it hadn’t been for the permit in their elevator which had expired over a year ago… lol

This place is absolute hell! After spending hours waiting to get an invoice I’m told a different story by different clerks. My code enforcement officer goes on vacation the guy taking over cancels my permit because he didn’t hear from me (I’ve been calling my officer) Then Wesley my other inspector moves to Washington in the middle of my case and no one lets me know! I have been calling for a month and just found out I have a new inspector. Bryan the gentleman at the help desk was zero help. He sends me up to the fifth floor to get something signed off and then gets mixed up on my projects and is insisting I go get papers out of my car and start all over! He goes and gets a second opinion and is wrong! That could have cost me hours or days. I’ve been doing everything in my power to take care of these permit issues and they are of no help! They need to put everyone back in training so they are all on the same page!

I would rather be anywhere but at the citys building department.
My last visit started by being yelled at and told I was stupid by the parking attendant. It actually got worse from there. As I spent hours waiting to talk to someone. The first person spoke very little english. I had to have her repeat every three word. Then was told to wait in another department where they could actually answer my question. I was told I was next in line as then I saw several others be called before me to get there questions answered. Some people just wandered in and were called by name and helped immediately. I ended up asking the woman who was suppose to be helping me ‘next’ if I had been missed or what happened. The other people were being transferred over from other areas who had their first appointment before my 9am. They open at 7am she said, so anyone with an early appointment can bump me down. Appointments don’t mean you actually get help when you need it it just means you have a higher priority in line. You wait hours and hours and still don’t get the help you need. I went to the san diego county treasury afterwards and they were pleasant, efficient and friendly… oh and they spoke english.

All I can say is that we made an appointment ahead of time by phone and went down to view the plans for our townhouse in North Park that was built in 2006. The receptionist was very very pleasant (black lady, can’t remember her name). Within 5 minutes or so we were called to Lorena’s desk. SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY TERRIFIC!!! So friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. If all the city employees & politicians were like these two women we’d all be in really great shape in San Diego! Definitely a 5 star experience.

I have filed a law suite against these Bullies. I have gathered a lot of evidence of their having violated numerous laws including municipal law, state law, federal law & the constitution while ripping off the public. That’s you & me. We have to do something to institute change in our fair city. This is the only way I know how to do it. Money talks. I have learned that the individuals in the department are personally liable for violating the law. They are not protected by the department. Does anyone have the courage to join me in preventing our tax dollars contributing to our abuse? At the very least is anyone willing to be a support to me, either emotionally or legally? Contact me. I’ve been sweet & turning the other cheek for too long. I’m not willing to be a victim any more. Do you know what scares Bullies? Turning & facing them. This is my alter ego speaking. I call her the Countess of Monte Chrisco. She is saying: I’ve had it! I’m standing up to them! Somebody has to do it! I’m strong, & just a little scared. This is a really hard row to hoe. I could sure use the support of like minded Unilocalers. Will anyone stand beside me? Or Will anyone, at least stand behind me? Your choice. I need your energy.
btw, I’m also suing Filner in small claims, mid November. I’d love to have spectator support me in the court room.

Puppy love from Inventing Joy & Furry folk aka Victim No More — the Countess
I’m going to share a story. I lived in an apartment with my huge Samoyed named Sheba. My parents came into town with Tia, their tiny chijuaja. The elevator door opened & Tia came roaring out the door barking & snarling. Sheba turned & ran with Tia in hot pursuit. They rounded the corner until Sheba was blocked by the locked emergency doors. She turned with her lips curled, ready to take on the Grizzly Bear she imagined was after her. She looked in front her & saw nothing. She looked up. Nothing. She looked down & saw Tia who barely reached the first knuckle above her paw. A quick second passed as surprise crossed her face. It quickly turned into a look of disgust as she tossed her head & walked past Tia with the clear message that that tiny, noisy beast wasn’t worth a second look & certainly not a fight. I never knew for sure whether she was more disgusted with Tia or with herself. But the life lesson I never forgot was, when you face your fears, you may find they aren’t grizzlies. They may only be a chuajua who thinks its a grizzly. So I think of this experience when I have to face a bully. I hope these bullies are Tia’s.

It seems very disorganized at the DSD. I paid a shit ton of money for them to tell me something I already know. It was a very expensive formality. All they had to do was sign a piece of paper, and that cost 200 bucks. So I can’t really say that it’s my favorite department in town. Probably a notch up from parking enforcement.

So after some tedious digging around I finally uncovered who intercepted (stole) my state income tax refund from 2009 and it was these mother– effers. I’m happy to announce that I am getting my money back from these people.
The amount that my tax attorney charged me for making the find is obscene and probably negated the amount of the stolen check but to me it was all worth it just for the satisfaction of telling this office and the personnel to kiss my ass.
I will never do business with the city of San Diego again. Or If I do it will be under an alias because I’m pretty sure that I’m on their black list.
