Thank goodness for Chipotle. I’ve been to various other Chipotle locations, but I actually really like this one. It’s conveniently located in the college plaza with decent parking and many other restaurants. This location is new, so everything was nice and clean. What’s nice about this location is the ample amount of seating! There’s plenty of indoor seating, but if you like being outdoors, there’s seats for you there as well! Tip: you may be able to catch some pretty sunsets and gnarly colors of the sky from outside. The service was great when I went in. The servers seemed cheerful and knowledgeable. I asked for a little more brown rice, and he delivered! But actually, my burrito ended up being way too big. it was stuffed to point of breaking. I did want practically everything though. The only downside to all of this was that they didn’t completely wrap my burrito. It was only wrapped on one side? I was very confused and troubled with how big it was. I would think they would wrap it a bit more. Oh well, at least they didn’t skimp out on the food. I arrived at the store at around 5:45pm on a Saturday and there wasn’t a line when I got there. However, when I was done ordering, I saw that a line was building up. Everybody wanted Chipotle for dinner, I guess! My burrito was great. I’m not the biggest fan of Chipotle, as I enjoy the more unhealthy burritos filled with sauces and fries, but this is a great healthier alternative that can get you full! Usually, I would get the bowl because I’ve heard you get more and you can save it more easily! The bowls can definitely go for two meals.

The stars are for the service and the cleaners of the restaurant — those were great. Ok, so I tried chipotle. Now granted, my chipotle is probably very different from yours — I got chicken and carnitas with guacamole and salsa. No rice no refried beans no tortilla no cheese and no sour cream. Not a fan. The carnitas have a lot of greasy weird bits and both meats are very salty compared to what I usually eat. I ate half and am beyond stuffed. You give me carnitas from El Zerape, Carnitas Snackshack, or the taco cart on El Cajon and I’ll eat it naked and be thrilled… But at least I gave it a shot. Won’t be going back even though I cater my meal to suit my low carb needs.

My family went to get dinner on the 18th for a quick bite. I got a Salad bowl with chicken. I started eating and about ¼ of the way through I bit into some chewy chicken. I spit it out and saw immediately that is wasn’t cooked all the way. I put it to the side and then found another piece that was equally raw. I brought my bowl up to the counter to let them know that it was uncooked. Before I could even finish my statement. They informed me that, «All the chicken is cooked to temp.» I said, «Ok, well it’s raw inside.» Again I was met with the answer, «It’s cooked to temp.» I just went with it and got a new bowl with steak instead of chicken. The more I thought about it, the more displeased I was with their handling of the situation. I know when chicken is raw. It was obviously pink and rubbery in the middle… I asked for the manager as I got my second bowl to let them know that«cooked to temp» isn’t a logical or acceptable answer when someone literally brings you the raw chicken they were just served. Finally, they acknowledged the fact and I went to sit down. The manager then gave me a buy one get one free coupon with apologies, which was a nice gesture. Just a cautionary note to maybe skip the chicken when you choose your meat at this location in case«up to temp» isn’t cooking the chicken all the way through.

It’s not the closest Chipotle to me but it is my favorite in the area. The food is about as good as any other well managed Chipotle, so what sets this one apart is the number of tables, the cleanliness of the restaurant, and the attitude and ability of the staff. This Chipotle gets full marks on all accounts. Having worked at a Chipotle before, I can see that this one is well managed and staffed by people that enjoy working there. It may take an extra five minutes to get here vs the one on University Ave, but the ample parking and exceptional service makes it my favorite.

I love Chipotle and this one is very close to my house, but for now I will go to the La Mesa location. This location is all new an shiny, but as with new businesses they need a bit of time to get into the groove. When I came here they had some trouble keeping some ingredients at the ready.

This place is pretty brand spanking new. And I am so glad that this chipotle opened up a mile away from state. The service here so far is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. I ask for a few things like an extra scoop of beans or salsa which depending on busyness will be granted without a big problem. They are conscious of making sure you know something is extra before they give it to you which is also wonderful. When I checked out/payed for my food the cashier was extremely friendly and was polite. Very important to me as a consumer and one who has worked in the service industry. Lastly the service was so good that when I walked away the cashier told me he forgot to give me a receipt, he didn’t but he had reprinted and wanted to make sure I received it. Very happy that that had happened, really shows me the hard work the employees are putting in for being a new restaurant. Hopefully this keeps up. As this will be my new go-to chipotle in the area.

Arrived early for my timed pick up order. Service was fast, friendly, and great! Assisted by Ashley, Brittany, and Anthony– all did a great job. Glad a closer location opened within the area, rather than the sdsu location!

4 stars because I love Chipotle, –1 because it took FORVER for them to refill the brown rice. I get it, they’re new. Doesn’t matter, I’ll definitely be a frequent customer #burritosforlife
