Our family comes here every now and then. The restaurant is always very well kept, the food can be inconsistent, they must have multiple different chefs. I wish they would get rid of the electronic gaming systems so my kids wouldn’t beg playing the whole time. When we come to dinner we want our family to disengage from all the electronics.

I couldn’t decide whether to give this place a 4 or 5 star review … Our waitress was REALLY great. It was busy. Ordered the boneless loaded chicken wings and we both ordered the unlimited enchiladas. Food was … good, I really liked the loaded boneless wings, and the enchiladas were… a lot for your $($ 10)(unlimited) but they weren’t my favorite so I most likely would not order again. The waitress really was the thing to set the experience apart very attentive and helpful, like I said before really great service even when she was clearly very busy.

This is our favorite Chili’s by far. The staff is AWESOME and the locals that frequent the bar are cool and laid back. The chips and salsa are pretty much better than what most Mexican restaurants serve. They always have COLDIPA’s(Stone or Carl Strauss) and they are kept a flowin… The chicken wings are the missuses fav.

Does not stock Splenda type sweetener. I won’t return until they decide customer requests are important and act on them.

We decided to eat at Chili’s and ordered from the 2 for $ 20 menu again this was a sub par meal. I had the steak with citrus rice and black beans. I specifically ordered my steak medium well with very little pink however what I received was medium rare. When I cut into my steak it was running with blood. I should have sent it back(this one is on me) instead of giving it to my husband and eating his fajitas instead. This too was substandard as it was mostly onion and peppers with very little toppings. A dollop each of guacamole, sour cream and cheese. Chili’s used to be my go to spot however the last two instances have not been good. The food seems to be declining with each visit.

I eat here fairly often. Usually not a problem. The last two times, everything went wrong. The last time was Thursday night. I originally planned to go to the Italian place right next to the Reading Cinema. They were closed for a private event, so I headed here. Even though the last experience wasn’t so great, I knew it was reliable. We waited a long time for a table, because the staff seemed confused. I merely asked that we have one with a view of the TV set, since Thursday night football was on. The hostess went and stood by a table, saying she’d find out if it were available. We watched as she just stood there, and when she finally got a waitress, she instead went to another table. That was fine, except… it wasn’t clean. So we had to stand there and wait while they cleaned it. Then…the chips and salsa. Always love to start with those, as they’re better here than most Mexican restaurants. The chips didn’t taste good, and were over cooked. I ordered the Monterrey Chicken. It’s no longer on the menu, but they’ve always told me I could still order it. I asked for it without bacon. I also got my two sides. The chicken came smothered in bacon, and I had to spend a few minutes picking it off. The waitress was sweet about it. She said she’d bring me another one, but I said that was fine. My skillet mashed potatoes were great, as always. But… the corn on the cob. I had never had it here before. Well, it was covered in salt, and gross. I took a napkin and wiped it all over, and I still couldn’t get the salt off. I was half way done eating it when the waitress came over to ask how everything was. I told her about how salty it was and she said«That’s our seasoning. That’s what it tastes like.» She again, offered to bring me another one, but I told her she didn’t need to. Again, this place is usually reliable, but this is now two times in a row I’ve been disappointed.

Well, the service was a bit slow, but the food was so outstandingly good quality that it was well worth the wait. The restaurant was clean, and the waiter did an outstanding job; he never let us go thirsty. The machine that calculates a 20% default tip is quite presumptuous. A tip is something you do out of the kindness of your heart to say thank you. It is not assumed nor should it be expected. So, for clawing at the money in your customers’ wallets, you get 3 stars instead of 5.

This review comes in the back of chilis coming through as a Plan B after I went to pick up Italian from another local restaurant that I actually managed to get shut down for rodents(Sorrentinos). I was in a rush, so I had ordered a bunch of food for hungry housekeepers to go from the bar. The bartender was kind and made good recommendations for shareable foods. The order came out quick and accurate, and I had just enough time for a cold beer while I was waiting. I am typically not a fan of the big chain restaurants like Chilis, but I will say that I have grown a little bit more of a liking. We sampled the Chicken Salad, burger sliders, wings, pasta(chicken and shrimp) and all were just right. Glad they pulled through for us!

Had an awful lunch experience here, and a couple of questionable dinner experiences, and chose to stop going to this location. Until, one afternoon, my son and I were super-hungry and decided to give it another try for lunch. I will have to say, they did an AMAZING job at solving their issues. The service was quick, friendly, and non-intrusive. The wait wasn’t a nightmare(as it was on our first trial), the food was correct(also an issue that time), and I knew my server’s name. Good job, guys. It is a little out of the way, so not sure if we will make it a habit now that we are surely not going back to our local branch, but I wanted to applaud the effort made to improve.

The staff at this one was so nice and attentive. If I am ever down in the area again, this will definitely be on my list of potential dinner spots.

Plenty of parking and sat quickly. Server did a nice job overall checking on us regularly. Loved the Cajun onion rings and Pork Fajitas. Great 2 for $ 20 deal with a shared appetizer and two entrees. Plenty of Bacon in the potato soup. Loved being able to pay on devise at the table vs. waiting for check and change.

My boyfriend and I go here all the time since we live close by. You get what you go to any Chilis for — sodium overload, a comfy booth, and somewhere you can wear yoga pants and still be served. You will need those yoga pants to leave, because Endless Tostada Chips. Anyway, James is our favorite server. Super down to earth and hasn’t minded that we are both extremely awkward. He recognizes us and talks to us even when he’s not serving us. He looks all fancy now, so I believe he has been promoted. Yay! My personal favorite hostess has blonde, short curly hair and is adorable. Sweet and not overbearing. Haven’t seen her in a bit, though. Some of the other servers have been a little less-than-great, over-attentive(leave us aloooone!) or under-attentive(please give us mo’ chips, need sodium fast, halp!) but they all are friendly enough. No BAD experiences here except once out of like 20. Rude waitress that we have not seen again. Hmm…

We eat here often and it’s pretty good. It’s a typical chilis. But they almost always get my order wrong whenever I get the Santa Fe Chicken Salad. It comes with ranch and Santa Fe dressing and I always ask for no ranch or Santa Fe dressing but instead honey mustard. I would say 7 out of 8 times I got it they didn’t get my order right which is a problem because of my food allergies(gluten and lactose). Also, their gluten free menu says to not get the tortilla strips but two waiters assured me its corn so today I gave it a try… now I’m feeling sick to my stomach. Note to self, it really does contains gluten :( We almost always get the seasoned fries and half the time they aren’t seasoned. Today we got unlimited complimentary chips and salsa. They said it was because of happy hour but we weren’t offered this before. It was a nice surprise.

Came here to watch the NBA Playoffs. Sat in the bar area. Ordered appetizers and a drink. Waiter was friendly and very attentive(checked on me multiple times), even though he appeared fairly busy.

Wow what an awful dinner experience we had start to finish. 1. Took 20 minutes to get seated when there were plenty of open tables 2. Server was absolutely awful. She forgot our appetizer, brought out wrong drinks, took forever to get our food, it clearly had been sitting for a while in the kitchen, she never checked on us once after a good runner delivered our meals. 3. Our check was wrong. It was for a different party 4. Food was not good. Fajitas were 95% veggies and 5% steak and chicken. Highly doubtful I will EVER return to this place.

Had an early dinner around 4 pm because I was just so tired of driving to so many places today. I needed to eat and just relax with my husband and daughter. We got seated right away as we entered since it was not crowded at this location. My daughter got her meal for free since she got a free meal ticket in one of her Easter eggs. Hubby and I did the two for $ 20. It included an appetizer and entrée. For an appetizer, we got the Texas fries which was covered in cheese, bacon, green onion and a few jalepeno peppers. So good. I gave the jalepeno peppers to hubby. The fries were cooked to perfection and the cheese was gooey and delicious! For the entrée I had chicken bacon cheese quesadillas. It came with sour cream, and salsa. It tasted great! I topped my quesadillas with some sour cream. To drink, I had a mango iced tea. I drank two glasses of that. So good! I couldn’t even finish my quesadillas, so I took them home. Service was excellent by our server. He was tall and I don’t think he gave us his name, but was good about our drink refills. Now that is what I call great service. He gave us boxes to take our food home but forgot to give us a bag. A waitress walked by and asked us if we needed a bag. I told her yes, please. She kindly gave us a bag. Normally other locations are not super great with customer service but this location gets a pat on the back from me. The food was pretty good here.

When I want a decent margarita and a comfty booth in the Clairemont area, I choose this Chili’s. Sure it’s chain restaurant food, but I like the chicken enchilada soup, and the Patron margarita sure was relaxin’. I didn’t mind paying around $ 10 for this tasty margarita since I got to sink into a relaxing booth. On a previous visit I also enjoyed the El Niño margarita. I’ve tried their new enchiladas, and they are ok, considering this isn’t a Mexican restaurant. I prefer the chicken or cheese enchiladas, and don’t care for the ground beef enchiladas. They also have reliable burgers. There is a new techno gadget on the tables which you can use to pay your bill if you wish. I haven’t paid much attention to it so far, but my hubs has used it to pay the bill. This Chilis is located in the Clairemont town square shopping mall, near the Outback restaurant.

I decided to try this place pretty much on a whim. It had been over a year since I had eaten at Chili’s. I knew what to expect — mediocre food at a fair price. But this time things were different. The first thing I noticed was the little electronic monitor at the table. More like a small tablet actually. This little thing was a blessing and a curse. It was a blessing because you could order drinks directly from the device, pick out dessert, and even pay the bill! It was a curse because it kept flashing new images, which distracted me from my meal much like a TV does. That was somewhat annoying, although I suppose I could have turned it around and headed face away from me. Maybe it’s just me, but it doesn’t seem right to charge $.99 just to play games on this thing when the advertisers(such as the Discover Card) are already paying! The little video games for the kiddies should be free! The food was actually pretty darn good. I ordered a guacamole burger well-done. Now that seems pretty straightforward, but most places ruin the meat. This big patty was moist and flavorful — juicy throughout. I was actually very surprised. The guacamole was fresh, and melted Swiss cheese and jalapeño peppers finished the deal! The fries were also very tasty, although perhaps a bit too salty. I’ll definitely be back. I’ve paid twice the price for a burger much less tasty. And being able to pay at the table when you’re ready, rather than having to wait for your waiter is a wonderful innovation. You swipe the card right there and then you go! This is the future…
