Chelsea Pest & Termite Control

As a Realtor, I need to have a trustworthy and reliable Pest Control company that I can recommend to my clients (sellers and buyers) on a regular basis. For over 10 years, Chelsea Pest and Termite Control has been that company for me. Their estimators are honest (more than once stating that a local treatment would be sufficient when another company said that the house needed to be tented), and their prices are fair. They really go the extra mile – one time doing wood repair for my clients on a holiday so they could issue a clearance needed for a next day close of escrow. On top of it all, their customer service is friendly and efficient. Thank you Chelsea!

Chelsea termite cleared a house we purchased and deemed it termite free. A couple months later, my infant son’s room contained hundreds of termites who left pellets on the floor and window sill. David, who filed the original report, came out as our service was still under warranty. He acknowledged that there were, in fact, active termites and said he would contact me regarding a plan the next day. I was so desperate for help at the thought of my son playing in termite feces, that I even let the sexist comments David made about «waiting for my husband» to do some patch work in the meantime slide. It was as if I wasn’t capable in his mind because I am a woman and couldn’t possibly know how to do something that might involve a tool.
He never contacted me, despite numerous calls to the office. I’m saddened that this company would treat a service family like this while my active duty spouse is away serving our country. I will be sharing this review with every navy family and spouse social media platform to ensure no one has to go through what me and my son have.

This review is long overdue. I’ve used other pest control companies in the past, but this one has been by far the best. It’s no coincidence they have a great rating with the BBB.

Mike came out and gave me good news: my house is in good shape, no termites, and i don’t need fumigation or even local treatments. That is not what all the other companies said. He explained everything well, gave me some pointers on how to keep pests out. He was very nice and prompt. So once again Unilocal has saved me money. Pleased with the work their fumigation subcontractor performed to take care of my termites. Dave did a good job explaining the process and answering our questions. I liked that the company went through the effort to be members of the San Diego Better Business Bureau because it showed me their concern for their reputation. And of course, the company and their fumigation subcontractor both had clean records with the CA Pest Control Board. Chelsea was recommended to me and I knew nothing about them — but I also knew that I should always do my homework and check them out.

So after our no show Chelsea Pest Control was able to reschedule our appointment with Mike and he was awesome and super nice! They managed to deliver my termite inspection report very quickly. I would certainly request Mike and recommend Chelsea Pest Control.

Chelsea’s Pest and Termite Control is the best pest company in San Diego. We have used them for our own residence as well as a home we use as a rental. I have to give a shout out to Eric. We have had a serious rat problem that has been going on for a while so we’ve seen Eric quite a bit in the past few weeks. He’s so friendly and full of energy.
