Chase Bank

Excellent Chase location right next to the Vons in Clairemont Square. My experience with the bankers at this location has been awesome. Big bank with a small town customer service experience.

Due to the poor customer service provided by this branch I will be closing my Chase account.

I made an appointment for a notary and was asked what I needed notarized to make sure it was what I could have done. I arrived early and had to wait a bit which was no problem. After meeting with the notary, she found out I was no longer a current customer, that the mortgage was just paid off and she could not notarize the document. I had been a customer since Chase took over 6 years ago, the mortgage was a total of 30 years and paid off on time every month. And ahead of time. You would think she could have had a manager o.k. the notarization. It does not cost them, a simple gesture and good customer relation. Then she had the nerve to ask me if I was interested in a checking account! I think not!

What a wonderful branch! I would especially like to commend Matt, the branch manager for exceptional customer service. I had a problem with a transfer and Matt exceeded my expectations by going out of his way to make sure the issue was resolved. I am very pleased with everyone I have encountered in this branch! :)

I have been with Chase for the past 2 years now and I have been very happy. I go to this particular branch 95% of the time and I have always been very happy with the service. «Aaron» is my personal banker who got me all set up with my personal and business accounts. He was very nice and personable and was able to answer all of my questions. All of the tellers are always very nice and meet all of my needs. The branch is always very clean and the lines are short. It has a great location next to Vons so I can do my banking and grocery shopping in the same trip. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because I did have an issue with «Danny». I had a customer service issue and instead of him resolving my issue he told me «this is not my first rodeo». I didn’t appreciate his rudeness but I have not seen him in the branch since.

F*&% chase and there fees

I have been banking with Chase for a while now. This branch has the worst customer service. The tellers are rude and, no surprise, so is the manager. Twice I tried to complete transactions there and both times were a disaster. Go to a different branch, University City and the Villa La Jolla branches have employees that go out of their ways to insure that transactions are processed properly.

Fairly clean bank, tellers were friendly enough.
It’s a bank, it served it’s purpose then I left.

The staff are very friendly, I know because my wife works here. They will get you set up right.
