I love their food but today’s customer service was horrible. The card reader was down and I didn’t have enough cash to pay. They told me they’d put the order in and to pay once I get the food. My food came and the card reader was still down. I ate and returned to pay. The reader was still down. They told me to withdrawn cash from the ATM. The surcharge was $ 2.50…I paid for my food but was very upset with the customer service. They didn’t not offer any compensation and were hardly apologetic for the inconvenience. While I love their food I will definitely have to rethink eating there again.

Wow surprisingly really good! Got the mixed tofu soup mild. It was $ 8.95. Comes with three side dishes. Didnt really like the side dishes– tasted kinda old. But the tofu soup was actually pretty tasty. Came out super fast.

Prelims: located in the food court of the Korean super-sized supermarket Zion, CDD is an expensive, yet delicious option available for tofu soup. Service is quick in that the food flies out of the kitchen(metaphorically speaking — since people will probably expect the hot dishes to literally come through the air unless I clarify) and they have water available if you purchase from them. While the food is delicious(see below), you will definitely pay more than you’re expecting and expect a billion ways to get hit with small fees(you need to spend $X or a fee, takeout is $X fee, etc.). Food is pretty delicious, I got to say. I usually get the seafood tofu soup and it comes with three 3 side dishes, rice, and the tofu soup itself in a hot clay pot. Somewhat skimpy on the seafood, however, prevents this place from being a 5 star. The broth is clearly flavorful, and the spicy levels WILL match what you order — so don’t think you’re a hero or try to impress your significant other by eating what you think you can handle because it will hit the fire. The rice is solid and the side dishes are a bit redundant(kimchi — yes, standard but for a tofu soup, something else would suffice much better). Overall, a good meal for one who just spent a ton of money going grocery shopping and in a spending spree. TL;DR Good tofu. No good price.

We ate at this place 3 times(2 dinners, 1 lunch) during our spring break visit to San Diego. It was conveniently located inside the Zion market plaza. Definitely we will go again when we come back next time. Their combo menu was reasonable and tasty. We had tried their kalbi combo with the tofu soup as well as individual tofu soup. original, seafood and kimchi tofu soup with medium spice.

You know you are in trouble when you eat at a place that is trying too hard to be knockoff of another restaurant. I thought it was funny that the name is a play of BCD which is a popular chain in LA. Unfortunately the quality of the food doesn’t translate. You can tell quite a bit from a Korean place by the quality of the side dishes. CDD’s side dishes(banchan) where pretty gross. They were really stale and did not include kim chi. I ordered their dumpling tofu soup. Unfortunately, the dumplings were not fresh and came from the frozen aisle of the supermarket. I was hoping this place would be comparable to BCD, but it falls really short.

Spent $ 15 on a lunch here with my momma. Soooo worth it! Vegetarian kimchi sondobu and japchae noodles. It is mouth watering recalling my taste buds. Don’t forget to get the sauce in the red bottle in the front, the hot sauce is mixed with something yummy. Lunch is cheaper than dinner by $ 1 Big portions

I love the seafood hot pot here at. It comes out boiling in the kettle with a raw egg on the side that you immediately break into the bubbling broth. I like to get the broth on the spicy side. It is very flavorful and comes with a side of rice and a trio of pickles. I have had the combination with the fish but I will be satisfied with jyst the hot potato alone. It is conveniently located in the Zion Market so you can eat and shop in a variety of eateries and shops as well as the grocery store.

Impressed that you can get high quality Korean food at a food court! There’s plenty of tables nearby although it does get crowded quickly. I got the mild assorted beef and seafood tofu soup($ 8) which came with an egg, 3 plates of banchan and a bowl of rice. The soup was flavorful and the tofu had a nice soft texture. Overall good deal and I would definitely eat here again.

I came here becos my daughter saw Koreans eating their food. If they are good enough for the Koreans then it must be good enough for me. But too bad, the cute girl at the cashier turn me away becos they were swamped. We waited for 10mins but she avoided eye contact. We were hungry so we ordered noodles from the Spotted Cow Viet Kitchen next to it. Wish I had their tofu and photos. And a real review of food we could have had. Merry Christmas.

The ham and sausage tofu soup tastes like a hot pocket. Side dishes are kind of sad and not good. I got a smidgen of potato salad. The guy spilled my soup onto the tray and sort of attempted to wipe it off to no avail. There was a guy playing fetty wap acoustic covers.

The best in my opinion! This place is right inside with the market so it’s easy to grab lunch and get your grocery shopping done. Love the service and time it took to get my food. 5 stars!

The food was so delicious. The service was very nice I asked her to cook well done on my fish because last time I got it wasn’t cooked well she’s apologized to me and tell me this time won’t be like that anymore after I got the food The fish was cooking perfectly The soup was so delicious I love this place

The tofu soup is actually really good! The pricing isn’t the best, it’s actually REALLY expensive for a grocery store food court. We ordered #1 combo, tofu soup and kalbi ribs. The kalbi ribs were half the size you get at a normal Korean restro on convoy. And the soup was a normal size… For a combo it’ll cost you $ 18. Which is really damn pricey for the little amount you get. I must say though that their kimchi tofu soup with pork had the best flavors I tried in a long time… Better than some of the popular ones on convoy! Next time we’ll not get the combo and come here for the tofu soup only. Not worth the price as a combo! Especially if you go to ones on convoy you get more sides. Come for soup only!

I’ve tried a looot of Korean tofu places and this is my favorite. Especially because it’s fast service and the same quality every time After moving down from LA and then from OC, I was on the hunt for a new go-to Korean Tofu place and this has now become my regular place. I come here once every week or so. The price is a little high considering you only get three side plates and they don’t actually serve you, but the soup itself and the broth is really tasty. I’ve found that most other places have their soups too watered down, but this place does it a lot better than the others. I usually get the kalbi combo and the meat is very good. The only thing is that its not too consistent. Sometimes the kalbi can be extremely fatty, and other times it’s really good. They also have a special flavor I hadn’t seen elsewhere before – the ham and cheese. It tastes just like a spicy ham and cheese hot pocket. It is a little weird, but surprisingly good. If you want to be a little adventurous, I’d say that’s the way to go.

Initially, we planned on going to Tofu House, but my buddy told me about this place so we ended up here. This place is located inside Zion Market’s food court. Parking wasn’t an issue and there was only 1 person in line when we arrived. We ordered and received our food pretty quickly. Plenty of tables and seating in the food court. Also, there’s a wide variety of food choices in the food court if you’re not in the mood for tofu. I ordered the veggie tofu bowl. Basically it’s tofu in a small ceramic type of hot pot bowl mixed with(in my case) veggies. My buddy ordered a seafood tofu bowl which I’ll probably order next time. After deciding what you want in your tofu bowl, you tell them what spice level you want. For me, medium actually wasn’t too bad. Good kick without ruining the taste. Just like Tofu House the tofu bowls are served with rice and side dishes of veggies(cucumbers, kimchi, and bean sprouts). Not sure if they give you the option of brown vs. white rice(the girl who took our order didn’t ask). I do prefer the side dishes and tofu bowls at Tofu House a little more, but dislike the wait and hassle of finding parking at Tofu House. Also, here the only give yum one egg… not sure if they charge extra for another egg. The price is $ 1 – 2 cheaper(according to my buddy) for the tofu bowl. The combo appeared to be pretty pricy for a food court restaurant. Overall, this place is good. For the convenience of parking, lack of waiting, and food taste, I’d come here again.

My Korean boyfriend swears by this place. We love our tofu hot pot restaurants and he says that this place is the best bang for the buck. For a food court eatery, this place is pretty good. The broth is very flavorful and the service is fast. The only downside is that they skimp on the ingredients. We ordered a seafood tofu soup and they didn’t give us as much seafood as other places. I still highly recommend stopping by for a tofu soup(~$ 8.95). Also, there is a 10% off discount on all tofu soups but I think you need to mention it for them to give it to you. It is advertised in Korean.

I’m no expert on Korean food, so take this review with a grain of salt. I ordered the soondubu here and felt it was what you could expect from a small shop inside a marketplace. I prefer Grandma’s Tofu House over this, but it’s slightly cheaper and worth stopping by if you’re grocery shopping. The soup was flavorful, hot, and full of tofu. It comes with a few side dishes that I thought were just mediocre, but you get what you pay for. In comparison to other dishes, I thought the soup was a little thin, but it still tasted authentic and filled me up. I would order the soondubu again over any of the other dishes. Being in the Zion marketplace, the table bussing is the same as the rest of the food court. Kind of strange, but all your dishes go onto big, silver racks that are located in the center of the seating area. You definitely come here for the food, and not the environment. If you have a sweet tooth like I do, Boba Bar & Desserts is conveniently located a few steps away :)

Woohoo! Soondubu lovers rejoice. I have been on the hunt for a place that is even remotely close to my beloved koreatown in LA. Now I know that’s setting the bar a little high but I heard good things about CDD. I’ve tried some of the spots in convoy(tofu house– meh) but they were just OK to me. Even though this place is in the cute little food court at Zion, I was able to enjoy a lively weekend lunch by myself :) The prices are great. It’s currently 10% off right now too. I ordered the seafood tofu soup as well as the dumpling appetizer. I loved the dumplings, it was perfectly steamed. I’m unsure if they were handmade but the skin of the dumplings was not too thin and not too thick. The combo of meat and veggies inside had an abudance of flavors. I went to go pick up my soon tofu soup at the counter. What looked to be the owner or manager smiled at me and said enjoy. That was a good sign. I cracked my egg into the soup, got my rice and banchan ready and dug in after I let it cool down. The broth was not watery, flavorless, and straight spicy.(this is what it tastes like when the lazy seasoning packets are added) Banchan was not bad but also nothing really special. Instead, it had a nice rich seafood-y flavor that was really very nice. They gave me plenty of baby seafood pieces to which I was really happy about. The rice was soft and steaming. I will definitely be back when I feel like sitting down to enjoy some soon tofu instead of cooking it at home. Happy eating! xo
