We offer Tiny Tots classes at the Carmel Valley and South Clairemont Recreation Centers. Miss Kim and the Hopscotch staff offer a well-​rounded curriculum that includes art, music, movement, science, language arts, pre-​math, and pre-​reading. The Tiny Tots class provides a *fun* atmosphere for children to socialize with others both indoors and outdoors, learn how to stand in line, participate in circle time, and the list continues!

We also offer Saturday Science classes for ages 4 – 9 at Ocean Air Recreation Center; learn more at steam2a​cad​emy​.org

History

Established in 2007.

Hopscotch was started in 2007 to expose young children to art, music, and movement activities. Initially working with the North Clairemont Recreation Council to re-​establish the Tiny Tots program in 2007, we started offering classes at the Carmel Valley Recreation Center in September 2011 and the City of Poway Community Center in June 2014. In addition to our Community Center Tiny Tots classes, we offer free sessions at several City of San Diego Public Libraries.

Business Owner

Director and Lead Instructor Kimberly Mann Bruch (BA, MA) has been working with preschool and elementary school children in an array of educational settings for more than 15 years. Her work has ranged from education and outreach sessions at Native American Learning Centers and National Park Science sites via research projects at the University of California at San Diego to City of San Diego Recreation Centers and Public Libraries via Hopscotch San Diego.
